Yes, Junichi Masuda is apart of GameFreak, and the animations of the pokemon are the same, but the artstyle for these games look amazing and they actually look like they tried something new with the colors and animations. Why didn't they do this with Sword and Shield!

Honestly, I'm really excited for Legends. I'm mostly losing my mind about the style. The way the protagonists wear more traditional clothing that still takes the colder climate of Sinnoh into account and the way the Pokeballs are made of wood with iron clasps instead of the modern plastic-like ones we're more familiar with is great.
Agreed. As hyped as I am about the new Snap and D/P Remakes, Legends is the big takeaway here. It seems like that's going to be the bridge between Gen VIII and Gen IX.

This literally brought tears to my eyes within the first 5 minutes. It was like watching my entire childhood flash before my eyes. I would never be the same if it weren’t for Pokemon, and I’m so glad I started playing, watching, reading, collecting and so much more.
I can totally relate. I started from gen 1 with a blue game boy color and pokemon blue version. As a kid, Pokemon inspired me to get out of my shell, dream of exploration and making tons of friends. Now in my 30’s I have travelled to a handful of countries and experience various wonderful cultures while meeting fantastic people. Pokemon was that spark that ignited my curiosity for adventure.
I don't know the feeling as I've never owned any of the console. As a kid I only knew pokemon for the anime. but it gave me goosebumps the intro and your comment got tears in my eyes and I believe pokemon anime made me a better person.
Pokemon by far was the biggest part of my childhood😁 and I couldn't be happier to see all the people which it changed🥰 all of their lives as much as it did mine and they have been around for 25 years and if they can come to live for 50 years then I can die a happy man😀. Judging from the slightly wooden texture and oddly wooden 'clack' when they closed, fairly certain they paid attention to detail - those aren't normal Pokeballs, but Apricorn Balls like the ones Kurt makes.

I started watching pokemon since the first episode aired on tv!, i was instantly hooked, and never stopped watching, ofcourse untill i was around 17 years old, but i never stopped playing thw games, pokemon is truly something special to me that i grew up with that ill never forget and tell my kids what it was all about. I'm so happy to live the generation since day 1 till the end.
I think in the only one who doesn't think Pokémon snap looks that great. The water looks weird, models/environments are pretty good but framerate seems off in the videos they have shown so far.

I was genuinely surprised when I heard about the gen 4 remakes actually happening. It's been a recurring joke for so long that I almost didn't believe it at first. Also, Pokémon Legends looks awesome! I just hope they actually put proper time into development so that we don't end up with the flaws Sword & Shield had.
What I also find interesting is how BOTW takes place in the distant future compared to all other Zelda games while this game takes place in the distant past compared to all other Pokemon games.

Pokémon games can't be delayed. Do you even realize how many products depend on a game release? To delay a Pokémon game they should do the same with a lot of merchandise, tgc, plushes, all sort of gadgets and said merchandise is what makes the Pokémon company profit for real so you can bet they would prefer to give you an unpolished game. Honestly, I'm really excited for Legends. I'm mostly losing my mind about the style. The way the protagonists wear more traditional clothing that still takes the colder climate of Sinnoh into account and the way the Pokeballs are made of wood with iron clasps instead of the modern plastic-like ones we're more familiar with is great.
it makes you think about how the pokemon are contained within the pokeball.
I bet those wooden pokeballs are a direct callback to the old days of pokemon when they were made of apricorns.

I can totally relate. I started from gen 1 with a blue game boy color and pokemon blue version. As a kid, Pokemon inspired me to get out of my shell, dream of exploration and making tons of friends. Now in my 30’s I have travelled to a handful of countries and experience various wonderful cultures while meeting fantastic people. Pokemon was that spark that ignited my curiosity for adventure.

I don't know the feeling as I've never owned any of the console. As a kid I only knew pokemon for the anime. but it gave me goosebumps the intro and your comment got tears in my eyes and I believe pokemon anime made me a better person.

I would honestly whole heartedly agree, but they said it’s coming out next year, I don’t think that’s enough time to fix .
Judging from the slightly wooden texture and oddly wooden 'clack' when they closed, fairly certain they paid attention to detail - those aren't normal Pokeballs, but Apricorn Balls like the ones Kurt makes.
But this one should be older than Kurt's traditional pokeball.

I started watching pokemon since the first episode aired on tv!, i was instantly hooked, and never stopped watching, ofcourse untill i was around 17 years old, but i never stopped playing thw games, pokemon is truly something special to me that i grew up with that ill never forget and tell my kids what it was all about. I'm so happy to live the generation since day 1 till the end.

I think in the only one who doesn't think Pokémon snap looks that great. The water looks weird, models/environments are pretty good but framerate seems off in the videos they have shown so far.

Do you even realize how many products depend on a game release? To delay a Pokémon game they should do the same with a lot of merchandise, tgc, plushes, all sort of gadgets and said merchandise is what makes the Pokémon company profit for real so you can bet they would prefer to give you an unpolished game. @Subzone They should. I mean if a company such as Mihoyo can adapt the mechanics of BOTW and basically make it their own. Pretty sure a multi-million company such as gamefreak should be able to pull it off as well. Especially since it has been expected of them ever since open world became trendy.
