@@khareemcarr8247 dusclops has base 130 defense and spD which is absolutely stupid when you slap an eviolite on it. dusknoir has 135 base defense and spD and I believe and also has 5 base speed more than dusclops. additionally, dusclops has night shade and pain split to help with it's lack of power making it absolutely terrifying

I feel like some of the commentators dont even know actual pokemon. In the battle Miguel v Davide, Rosemary kept saying that the Intimidate from Incineroar was going to impact the Celesteela. Uh, no. That Celesteela was a special attacker, with the moves Flash Cannon and Flamethrower. I do not know what language Miguel is playing but even I can tell from the attack animations what Flash Cannon is.
I think the commentators had to act as though they couldn't see the moves from each player. Without that knowledge, there is the chance that Celesteela could be hurt by Intimidate, since some of them run the move Heavy Slam. Throughout this entire event it felt like commentators had to commentate like it was a more standard VGC event (the spectator isn't watching from either player's perspective and thus cannot see either player's moves). As for the following times after the Steela was revealed to be special, it may just have been a habit and/or having Celesteela's partner be hurt by Intimidate as well.

@@tanujkothari yeah but i still don't think they are using it enough, it's still a pseudo with insane stats and Clear body in my opinion is, after defiant, the best ability in the game with all those stupid Incineroars around (and max moves drop your stats too). While they're having fun over using Kartana and Glastier that, while good, are pretty easily shut down by intimidate. Dragapult and Metagross not having to worry about stat drops should be huge.
@@luigimanzelli3786 Biggest issue with metagross is it falls victim to many super effective moves and pokemon like galarian moltres and urshifu and even glastrier( in trick room) can be pretty big problem. Incineroar will always threaten metagross with darkest lariat and flare blitz. Also , grimsnarl is another unpredictable guy with either sucker punch or darkest lariat. Metagross is damn amazing but so many weaknesses and those sudden trick rooms will definitely mess him up. Dragapult is my current favourite pseudo but in this format tapu fini is a nightmare for him.

Also while true that Metagross has all those weaknesses it has the chance to live super effetive attacks while people are running Kartana everywhere that literally dies to ember from a baby pokemon :D
I was on the Pokemon official site checking to see who made it to the finals. I saw one of the players from Oceania got disqualified. I have been trying to figure out why that person got disqualified. Does anyone what happened?
@@sinnohperson8813 To be true regieleki is fast and wraps up the game often with that huge speed and offense but on the other hand regidrago has a massive base 200 HP which becomes double on dynamax and then if you can slow him down with hammer arm and use him in trick room with full health and max wyvern from dragon energy , your opponent is in big trouble!!

No, this ain't smogon. Smogon is a player created tiering and ruling, such as banning OHKO moves. VGC is the only Pokémon Co. endorsed competitive play where no moves are banned.

Why do these players have every pokemon with max PP on them? Getting those onto every move for every pokemon would take an insane amount of farming - it's 10 BP per 1 point of PP. It makes me believe that even with all the quality of life stuff in sword and shield, they are just creating their pokemon in some software anyway, as they always have. Who the hell needs 48 Light Screen's for god's sake? This is not what a human would do, but it is what a pokemon creator software would do - showdown does this automatically, and a pokemon generator would do it this way also. I realize you can get some just off the ground or from doing the battle tower occasionally, but you would need to spend hundreds of hours to do the pointless PP increases they did. I don't buy it that these are legitimate pokemon. VGC needs to ban this stuff. Nick Narvarre's pokemon are not legitimate pokemon. Like are we really to believe he did not need to practice as much so he just wasted his time adding PP Up's to Light Screen and 2 dozen other moves??? The cheating is disgusting.
