I feel like this is like that one Family Guy gag, where Peter hits himself with a coconut to try and get amnesia, only to say "I REMEMBER EVERYTHING! I WAS ABUSED BY MY FATHER!"
If it weren't for Michael from MandJTVPokevids, I never would have been able to evolve my Galarian Yamask into a Runereigas. And the award for weirdest evolutionary method goes to Runereigas by leveling up at a third of it's hp after taking damage in battle nearby the stone pillars in the Dusty Bowl in the Wild Area. This beats our previous Winner, evolving Inkay into Malamar by leveling up to at least Lv. 34 while holding your game console UPSIDE DOWN. Seriously? Dare I ask, what's next?

I love the detail that goes into the Pokédex entries, but why are these marketed towards children?! I’m sure little kids would love to know that their new balloon Pokémon might carry them to the afterlife if they don’t weigh too much.
Yea some of the entries are pretty fckd up to me marketed towards children. But children capable of reading such sentences can seperate reality from stories. And tbf there are even more messed up stories in some childrens movies fe. the older disney movies and it's fine. And It's not like children will usually read all those entries.
@@a_bear when I was 7 I read Drifloon's description, and a lot more of that kind of dex entries. I tought that the idea of pokemon being cruel, evil or just scary was really cool, because in a world of living beings everything cant be peacefull
Even as an adult, they make me real uncomfortable. I take solace in the fact that, even in the world of Pokémon, the Pokédex entries are very often misleading or straight up wrong.
Such is implied and often outright stated in a few interviews - though they're pretty much all in Japanese. I guess they want to appeal to a more "hardcore" Western crowd? Iunno.
