Rumor mill with Donny don don needs to be a recurring segment
100%. And in the 3rd hour so we can get the full Donny Don Don experience
Save it for the last 30 mins
Absolutely! And totally agree with @michaelm.5054 because if it’s in the last hour we can get the real real from Donny don don.
Please yes
Couldn’t agree more
Donny Don Don segment is pure GOLD! Please keep this a regular segment!!😂😂
ask coach pagno knows how to tackle instead of a donny don don
For those of you that know of Connor's audition video, that is the same energy as Donny Don Don for sure lol
Rumor mill segment is gonna be great while it lasts 😂😂😂
From Nebraska - I loved this segment 😂 all the years I’ve been watching. This is the first Nebraska basketball talk 🎉
Adding some background construction noise to the Donny Don Don segment could really put it over

The Rumor Mill is a stayer 😂😂
The rumor mill is the single best thing I have ever watched sports related. I’m a panthers fan so that’s actually been a joke too. The con man is a national treasure
Donny Don Don makes his debut dahn at the Mill, A to the J is BACK, and Mad Mel storms off the set. What an ahhhhhbsolute electric Monday
For the people that usually skip Shefty, there's a brief appearance from Panthers Owner David Tepper at 1:44:02 if you're interested 😂
Thanks pal
Donny Don Don at the Rumor Mill was 🔥53:45
On this day in history… Donny Don Don joined the progrum!😂😂😂
Lmao the rumor mill was funny af
Hip drop tackle ban means that a 175lbs CB will never tackle a 245lbs RB, TE, WR, or QB again. Using there whole body weight is the only way they get the tackle!
That's not true. The biggest impact is players will have a much harder time tackling players from behind. So if someone gets free they now are guaranteed like an extra 5 to 10 yards minimum
Hopefully they don’t call it on plays like this and only call it only like plays where like when Hutchinson did it on dak. That’s where I can see it being smart but hopefully they are more lenient on a corner tackling a big dude unless they drop to there knees then I don’t see them throwing flags on it
I played rugby in college and trust me with proper form a 175lb guy should have no problem tackling anyone
Nfl is ruining the game little by little 😢
@@raffikassadvery rare to be in proper form when plays break down…
I like that Reese didn't apologize, dude has nothing to apologize for!
Yeah, Donny Don Don is my favorite segment by far, too funny
Donny Don Don is too toxic 😂
Need More Donny Don Dahn!!!💯🔥😂😂🤣
😂😂😂😂Rumor Mill😂😂😂 😂. Journalism at its finest.
Donny don don 😂😂
Glad to see AJ HAWK BACK
Donny got me crying 😂😂😂
Donny Don Don needs to STAY!!! Love the rumor mill
Boston Conner is hilarious as Donny Don Don.
No hip-drop. No facemask. No horse collar. No helmet to helmet. You get a two foot abdominal target that you must hit with your shoulder only. Miss that and it's a penalty.
Might as well not have a defense at this point. How does a 190 pound CB tackle a 225 pound RB or TE WITHOUT "unweighting" himself?
RB, TE, WR, QB...all about to gain 10-20 pounds and be unstoppable.
Form tackling in the right area isn't that hard. Other countries, in multiple sports, have been doing it for 100+ years. I'm sure the yanks can figure it out.. maybe..
@@user-ht9mh4cm3fprobably never played football. Momentum will carry a smaller guy a couple yards. Also, this isn’t rugby where you have an only lateral passes otherwise where most tackle chances are in front of you. Football has downfield passes and people attempting to tackle from behind.
The X FL and USFL mut have a mole somewhere in the NFL front office. Rich McKay?
@@user-ht9mh4cm3fno other sport carries the same velocity as American football. The added pads and weight create a lot more force making tackles a lot harder than in rugby
@@user-ht9mh4cm3fwhat a pointless stupid statement, tell me where the rest of the world has been playing this sport then we’ll talk 😂
Pat calling Schefty a little guy was incredible
Timestamp?
Legitimately, a platform like this has to be the one to start a stand against the NFL rule makers. It’s obviously not good for business (especially with the boys being an ESPN partner) but we need a stand against all these dumb ass rule changes. Injuries are inevitable in a game like football, not all rule changes are bad. But this hip drop tackle rule is embarrassing to the league. I really hope they get rid of this ASAP!!!
rumor mill segment funny, rumor mill being con hilarious, the whole thing being on espns hour genius
Show start @ 5:35
Thanks bro.
MVP
Gotchu boys
Donny don don and mad mel in the same episode. Damn, boys starting the week off good.
ITS GONNA BE CALLED THE "COW TIPPING RULE" WHERE YOU run up and try to push the ball carrier over by surprise!!
Honestly at this point I live for AJ's "You know that!"
Shaht aht Donny for puttin in them long harhs at the Rumor Mill
Need more Donnie Don Don live from the rumor mill!!!
Hollywood finally got to Connor... He had it tucked today...😂
Pats honesty and sarcasm elite!!!😂
Donny Don was comedy 😂
53:45
To Ty's point, Mad Mel wore the same suit AGAIN. 🤣
Turn the heat up Donny is freezing 🥶
Rumor mill is the go to
Hip drop penalty should only be enforced if the defender lands on the offensive players legs. No harm, no foul.
Usa won the concacaf natons final yesterday. Hoped the show would’ve talk about it
Every time they outlaw a form of tackling, the ones remaining will statistically be the tackles that are most likely to cause injury. We're inevitably moving to flag football.
drinking beer raisin hell and praising DJT 🤣🤣
Donny don don is GREAT
donny don don does a great tucker carlson impression lol
You guys should get AJ Hawk into the thunderdome and do some practice tackles to see what it would be like tackling without "weight dropping"
Is the NFL going to give out anti gravity belts to "unweight" yourself? This is so dumb. Nothing happens in a straight line. Defense is always behind and guess what feet are behind players.
No more Tominaga strokefest? Lmaooooo Gig’em
Hope you guys use your influence to fix the destruction of an nfl defense
Triple D..great stuff.
Donny!!!
Shout out to Mad Mike..only watched the footage because of these guys.
But, when he yelled out ‘help me’..HILARIOUS
Wait there’s mad Mike crash footage aht there??
Wasn't the hip drop tackle the answer to making sure players didn't accidentally get called for leading with the helmet, or sacking without putting body weight on the QB??
So if the tackle isn't with the shoulder perfectly, it's a flag?
Love It Pat ThePatMcAfeeShow Bro Let's Gooooooooo.
I I understand the hip drop thing about blanketing up high with your arms and letting your legs give out to go full weight. They just haven't explained it well and I'm sure we won't see many penalties for this. You'll just have to keep your leg drive up and keep weight on your feet when you are wrapped up high from behind or the side. The rule does not seem them bad and I don't think it will effect the game as much as people are thinking
Teams saying McCarthy is in the top 3 is PRIME lying season
I can’t believe Donny don don was on espn, I can’t imagine folks seeing this show for the first time and this is what is on
Losing the game we love… al for protecting the players health and safety, but there’s a line, and it’s been crossed. Sometimes injuries happen, it actually isn’t a result of the type of tackle the NFL banned, it’s a result of countless rules the NFL has made surrounding hitting in general. The only reason this was ever a thing is because defenders would try and tackle high and get a flag for hitting a player in the head when that player lowered there head into the hit. This hip drop tackle being banned will just start a new wave of dangerous contact that will result in injury😊
Is there a reason Ty & Connor have to use characters to talk about certain topics
& opinions? Lmao
Or is it just cause they be getting that bored 😂
The ruling of a Hip Drop in Rugby League is so confusing. Some are let go, some get suspended for weeks.
I thought Connor cut his mullet for the first hour... Was very worried
Thanks for commenting because I'm 2min in and was wondering why the cut wasn't addressed lol
i was in the same exact boat@@dabaker420
Con man in good shape. Great shoulders bubba
I'm skinny and vicious. Not using my whole body to get big people down would of made me get picked last lolol
Thank YEW for covering wrestling! DC is the man!
Love having DC on!!
Kids playing sandlot football will continue using the hip drop tackle!
Ohtani fully understands English. Dude is toast
If they know the percentage of players injured by Hip Drop Tackles is greater they should know the percentage of Hip Drops Vs. legal tackles. So what was the percentage of tackles last year that would’ve been a penalty?
Compare the salaries of the player tackling vs the player getting tackled in those qualifier 20% injury hip tackles... Wouldn't that be interesting to see if the risk has a reward 😅 my assumption is a significant difference...
Tepper was NOT happy😂😂😂
He was fine
The Only Place we will be allowed to play tackle football is on the Pat MCAFEE SHOW SO BE IT!
My biggest thing with the hip drop is how they will interpret it on the field. If a DL is shedding a block and leaping towards a rb who has a better angle, that dl will get hit w a flag for making a basic play. Doesn’t seem possible.
The ban stinks. But eventually people will understand that it’s not all hip drops, it’s just the swivels, and it’s likely going to be post-game fines, and not in-game penalties
Just canceled my auto renewal for Redzone and Sunday ticket.
Loved the college wrestling segment
all the years I’ve been watching this show. It took Basketball to Finally say GBR 🎉
Follow up: the rumor mill segment is a sure sign our favorite show will always be our favorite show!
original road house is insanely corny😂
I watch the ncaa wrestling tournament every year and feel it is one of the last True physical competitions to exist. Wasn’t a fan of DC (and Burroughs for that matter) on the calls. But DC on the PMS interview brought me back on him.
‘If we’re head to head’..
If someone blindly believes that something is truly a "no risk" bet then they deserve to lose everything they have.
Tryna give themselves more control over every game cause sports betting is becoming a bigger thing everyday
Apparently the boys don't know that Shohei speaks & understands English.. He uses a translator, but doesn't always need a translator to communicate say between himself & a bank teller to unknowingly give access to his funds.
You gotta question if the NFL is funding the show behind the scenes
I'm saying my boy Josh Allen is gonna be unstoppable now.
55:44
DDD’s first and only appearance on the fist hour 🥲
Hip drop tackle means bet the over early.
Your welcome
Sirius radio..ESPN 2 said round up or something on screen but what was coming through the speakers of my truck at like 6pm? Donny Don Don and the boys it was an amazing listen. Jessie Lee Peterson 'Amazing'
Dahny Dahn Dahn
THANK YEW BOYZ!!!!!!!!✌❤🤘
The fact they "lost connection" to AJ during Mad Mals, segment is really suss.
Has anyone ever seen AJ Hawk and Mad Mal in the same room....??? Just askin'
If the hip drop tackle rule ruins the ratings for the NFL maybe they scrap it.
they have to make hip drop a reviewable penalty. thats the only way this can work
True but the game is already 3.5 hours long 🤣
I'm sure that won't lead to game winning decisons by the refs...
3:05:37 greattttt sign off lmao
Max Holloway was right about that DC guy…
Hip drop tackle and concussion mitigation rules are really more about “protect your assets” rather than “cover your ass” from a legal perspective. Either way, the NFL is doing this because they think it’s good for business in the long term. But really, if you look at this as cynically as the NFL likely does, every player is a business asset. The more valuable an offensive asset, the more times they get put in these compromising situations (in English: get the ball). The big difference is that in the “protect your assets” view of this approach, the players “assets” also win, rather than just getting stripped of future recourse.
All that to say, this is absolutely a business move by the NFL. However, in no way is it a “cover your ass” business move like Pat was saying here. That could be solved by a simple hold harmless waiver that each player has to sign, and would be a hell of a lot easier to implement than rule changes.
The percentage of injuries on kickoffs is automatically lower..theres one kickoff for every what 10-20 plays? They are literally just insulting us at this point
1:56:50 everything but the 2019 7a st championship
