See i hate the Media as a general rule too, but they have been all over reporting this today. I find it hard to blame them for reporting NASCAR"s own initial statement that it was a clear hate crime. This is on NASCAR for jumping the gun. Just say your looking into it and will respond once you have all the information. Instead they tried to be super woke with that "WE WILL FIND YOU, NOOSE HANGER! THIS IS A CLEAR HATE CRIME" statement before they even had any information.
Obviously some much needed attention. Shows just how divided our country still is. I’m glad it wasn’t a hate crime, but let’s ask ourselves why the noose was there in the first place. It says a lot about the culture there.

@@tbiddywag6245 Buddy... it was reported to nascar by someone on his team because it was a noose, nascar looked at it as a a noose and decided to cause a ruckus, the FBI said it was a noose... I think he can safely call it a noose. That also makes his reaction through all this very natural. How in the world could he have known that it was not placed there with the intention that people were saying? If anything, maybe nascar is at fault for blowing the big horn before getting to the bottom of things, but I can't say I blame them for wanting to come out and make a strong statement considering how everyone looked at it. Imagine if the FBI would have concluded that it was indeed a hate crime. Then nascar would have to sit there right now answering questions as to how they could not see that when it was THAT OBVIOUS. I think, at the end of the day, maybe be happy that nobody was guilty of being that kind of an absolute scumbag of a human being and relax. Bubba isn't the bad guy here, if anyone is.
After seeing how other media outlets handled the situation, it’s very refreshing to see you admit your mistakes. Massive respect for you
Dan Patrick comes to mind. He still leaves the door open that it was legit. And spent all morning dancing around it, instead of owning up to his mistake. Props and respect to Pat for putting this issue to bed.

The Petty crew also should have been able to discern this as nothing but given the times and situations surrounding this with the recent banning of the stars and bars flag and the one that flew over the track pulled by an aircraft earlier that day they were right to report it. Wallace and Petty as well as the remainder of the crew as well as the other drivers, crews and media are all victims of misinformation that they were given just as Pat was.

Cause Bubba now has BLM as a sponsor and probably had this whole thing orchestrated from the start. Makes no sense seeing as he’s raced at Talledega multiple times before so he and his crew would have seen the rope in the garages in years past.

Bubba said he has never in his life seen a pull rope tied like that. So I watched a NASCAR garage episode on the NASCAR youtube channel and spotted a half dozen garage pull ropes tied just like that. So either Bubba is flat out lying or he has never opened his own garage door, both of which are possible.

@@justclancy1151 yes they do. They pull the car rate into the garage during qualifying and they are back in fourth in there during practice for adjustments. But to your credit with covid there is no practice or qualifying rate now.

Pat you weren't wrong, there was a pull fashioned into a noose in his garage. The ONLY garage in the entirety of NASCAR to have it fashioned in such a way and it was put that way AFTER the last time that garage was used. It was a noose, and it was in his garage, it just wasn't determined to be a hate crime.
