      The question is why does the player’s union not ask for proof the money goes to charity. It is money taken out of the player’s pocket.

    Edit: The "it goes to charity" thing is so they don't have to pay taxes on it. Not only that, but they can also use that to get a tax break. It's corruption at its finest.

      Matt Evans I don’t doubt that they are keeping but you can’t just say something went to charity and not pay taxes on it and claim a tax break. Normally a donation to nonprofit group that is approved by by the IRS under section 501(c)(3) of the tax code is required to happen and you will need proof of making a charitable contribution from the receiving group in order for it to be deductible.

Just because you don’t want to have that difficult question about systemic racism, you’ll always to ‘disrespecting the flag’

      "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick
      Sounds like he didn’t want to stand or show pride in the flag right? He says it’s because of racial oppression, but at the same time he supports Fidel Castro (dictator and oppressor) and Che Guevara (socialist and mass murderer)... I guess he can cherry pick what type of oppression he’s against. Kaep is a Soros paid puppet who has brainwashed lots of people.

    given the random amounts, I'm about 96.5% sure that the NFL corporate offices have a rotating schedule of names that those fines go towards the mortgages of those people. like, say, Burfict destroys a QB, that would pay the mortgage of like 4 people in the cubicles.

    I'm going against the grain and wonder if they showed that the money went directly a noble charity that everyone would agree on if less people would care about getting fined and defeat the purpose of the fines. With it being a big secret players obviously don't like that money being taken.
    Just wondering if there could be a reason to the secrecy besides it going into pockets.

    • @mattevans1643
      @mattevans1643 3 년 전

      No. It's their fault they get fined. They signed a contract for such and such amount. They get paid that amount. If they do something that gets it taken away, they shouldn't be able to write it off on their taxes. Now if they don't recieve the amount in their contract for other reasons like getting cut, or signing a new contract then they can put how much they actually got.
      That like saying someone who has 10 speeding tickets can write that off on their taxes. Or that buying food or other stuff can be written off on taxes. It makes no sense.

    • @Cardiaccat98
      @Cardiaccat98 3 년 전

      Matt Evans it’s not all the time that it’s their fault that they’re fined (refs being blind or a bunch of soft-cocks that call personal fouls whenever they want), but I do agree that fines shouldn’t deduct from taxes. Those 2 things are mutually exclusive from each other

    Mr. McAfee makes a great point about a tax writeoff for fines. Otherwise, if they are fining players and not adjusting their salaries downward accordingly, the players are paying income taxes on money that they don't even see. And the money to players vs what the owners get for playoff games is an absolute disgrace. With these comments, I guess Mr. McAfee has given up on the MNF job but he has gained in stature among his listeners and viewers.
