    When quarterbacks throw 3 or 4 picks, people will just say they’re having an off day. When kickers miss one extra point, make 4 of them, and get a 50+ yard field goal, and have a great game beside one kick, people will say they need to be cut.

      As a football player my whole life.... when the kicker misses, you want to kill them. Because all they do is kick. They don’t do sprints in practice. They don’t have to hit in practice. They don’t do anything in practice except kick. That’s where the animosity comes from.

      @@jeremyc9593 It is truly baffling, the idea that a person could complete ANY physical task perfectly 100% of the time is absurd. The idea that they could do so under duress, in extreme circumstances (wind, rain, snow, the insane distances the NFL/CFB Kickers kick from) it means he hasn't though about it critically for literally one second. The reason they need a specialist (I.E. a Kicker) to do it, is because it is so difficult. Hard to believe a person who performs tasks at a high level themselves wouldnt know/understand that.

    This response really impressed me. It would have been easy for Pat to just say something like "he just has to click a mouse what the hell does he know?" I love video games and I wouldn't fault him for a reply like that. But instead, Pat breaks down exactly why kicking is so difficult, gives props to Ninja for his achievements (despite not being a gamer himself), and still calls out an ignorant statement without mincing words.
    Pat may love making fun of himself for being "dumb" but he's clearly a thoughtful and intelligent speaker. The success of this show is no accident.

      I felt he gave Ninja TOO much credit lol Ninja had the privilege of never having to work and could dedicate all of his time to his one game of choice. College football provides the closest thing to that for football players, and of the 1000s of players who get to focus solely on football, 1% make it. Not to mention that when ninja does poorly, he blames rng, changes to the game, etc whereas to make it as a pro football player, it's on you solely.

    Nerves and adrenaline start pumping and you make the smallest of a wrong move and lose.
    Streamers do this from the comfort of their home, athletes (kickers) have this pressure + the added crowd noise, giant men rushing at them to block the kick, and a loss/miss hurts the teams season.

      Comments like these are something that baffles me. 'Ninja' is an internet personality, he knows his audience and performs for his audience. 9/10 times reactions are amplified for content. When you watch a movie do you associate the morals and personalities of the characters to the actors portraying them? Am I saying that it's all an act? Absolutely not but people do need to understand the difference between a person and their online personality when they are streaming. Another keen example of this would be the streamer Dr. Disrespect who has taken on a very cocky and over the top personality wig and all. But then you have streamers that are just themselves and interact with chat In a chill manner such as shroud. When streaming these people are first and foremost entertainers for their audience plain and simple. That's the best way I can explain it and I know this is long winded but it's not really a short topic.

    As someone who played every side of the ball until I made it out of school from offense to special teams. Even kicked. I see where he is coming from because for his career he is in the 1% of best gamers on the planet right now. Perfection and being the absolute best Is what makes him his millions today. I agree that perfection is key but it doesn't come down to that because the kids will never know the real pressure kickers can be under . Me personally I'm a perfectionist and if I was a coach it would come down to changing my kicker if he folded under pressure and was missing.
    I think of it like this (perspective)
    He has not right to talk about football because he probably doesn't even know the game and how it's played but if we took ninja from his position as a gamer and he was a pro kicker he would be in the 1% of the 1%. It's hard to argue this with someone who has no choice but to be perfect to be the best. I'm in no way taking up for Ninja and I kinda don't even like the cry baby. I'm just putting that out there.

    Its like saying "I dont understand how the PGA allows golfers that... just... miss the green." A lot of factors go into an individual kick/shot and kf you are off one degree geometry takes over and you're done.

      Joey J ehhhh, kinda, but not really. there is a lot more that goes into kicking a soccer ball if you want it to do the right thing. it has to do with the part of your foot you hit it with, how hard you hit it, how much spin you want to put on it... punting is similar, but the execution is different

    • @ej1304
      @ej1304 3 년 전

      @@ethanbaileylol2283 The techniques you just explained are the same for Football. Foot positioning, power, accuracy and style apply to every single sport that involves kicking a ball. When it comes to the action of *pure kicking* they are literally the same exact thing. Only thing that varies is the shape and size of the ball, and how it moves across the field or court.
