Am an Aussie, when my mates started following the NFL, a lot of them picked teams early and fell in love with another later on. There's nothing wrong with what AJ did, if anything when you're new to a sport take your time to pick one that resonate with you.
Going through that now as a Brit who got in to NFL through a works fantasy comp. Everyone said I had to pick a team. Should have waited a year before deciding, getting stick for wanting to change.
