@@qcrew2938 Chiefs just executed better in the end and were the better team. I don't blame anyone individually as plenty of individuals made plenty of mistakes on both teams. 49er fan here, also the chiefs D was playing fantastic football

@@qcrew2938 Shanahan never learned his lesson from his time in Atlanta. When you're up by double digits with little time left in the game, you chew the clock out as much as possible, especially when you have good running backs, to not only give the other team less time to score, but also give more time for your defense to rest. Otherwise, your defense gets gassed & can't stop the other team's offense.
Run the ball, run the clock.
If Shanahan learns this then sky's the limit for young Kyle
More than one way to run the clock. Like when your all world TE is being guarded by Terrell Suggs you pass that damn ball 100 times out of 100.
If u knew him on the falcons, he was a pass first coach, he would love to pass, but then in the Super Bowl, he passed too much against the pats, so he changed his style to running with the niners. But in the Super Bowl, he was prob nervous, so he went with what he was comfortable with.

The run game outside of the 3 Reverse plays from Deebo and one 17 yard run with Mostert was averaging 3 ypc. it wasn't that he went with what was working it was that Chris Jones was an unstoppable force that game and the only way to effectively get him out was to operate the quick passing game but Mike Persons was playing so badly that even that wasn't enough. Kyle called pass plays that were open it's just some guys weren't executing in the most crucial moments.

Aside being a fan of two division rival teams, they cross streams A LOT. 49ers and Seahawks have so much in common, and that's probably why they always have banger games. When Shanahan signed to the 49ers, I knew things were only going to go up (then Jimmy G was injured for the '18 season but we don't talk about that).
So happy Shanny is the coach of my team. Thank god. Also Lynch at GM. I couldn’t be luckier

Niners fan here. What worries me is he didn’t learn the lessons of his first losing SB with Atlanta and made the exact same mistakes this time. Both times the opposition defence adapted and both times he didn’t adapt. Both times the other defences were selling out totally up the middle, he needed to call some bootlegs or some screens or some flats. But no, when the runs between the tackles dried up he went to the QB in the pocket. Still what the defence wants! In two different SBs! Great play-designer but a bad play-caller in the big moments.
Chiefs fan here. It seemed like Andy Reid was never going to learn from his repeated mistakes over the years. Ironically enough, Reid's mistakes were the plays most 49ers fans wanted Shanahan to make. In big games, Reid choked his leads away by eating up the game clock with run plays believing his defenses would finish the rest. Luckily your team has the Defense to counter-balance most of your time chewing runs. But, as someone who's watched multiple coaches from the Chiefs screw themselves in big games over the years with the same mistake, I wouldn't advise Shanahan to do it all the time. I'll give Shanahan some credit, perhaps he realized that the Chiefs had only scored less than 23 points once in the last 2 seasons and thought that eating up the clock with run plays might not have helped with an offense like the Chiefs who can score so fast. Good luck, hope 49ers make it back to play my team again next Super Bowl.
