I met Undertaker at a CD Warehouse signing event, which is a very old fashioned sentence. Always my favorite wrestler, stayed in character (at least in terms of voice, he was still friendly and funny with fans), and moved with the grace of a Frankensteinian Ballerina.

Stone Cold and Mick Foley on a podcast talked a little about this type of situation when they wrre wtrstlers. While they liked and respected each other, and their fellow wrestlers, once they walked out of the curtian they wanted to have the best match on the card. They wanted it to be difficult for the wrestlers in the next match or main event to have a better match. Their attitude was, "Lets see you guys try to top this. Y'all better work y'alls asses off to top my match." They knew there was only room for a small group at the top and they all wanted to be there. That type of competition was great for the company and the fans.

They book it like nothing matters you don’t have to earn title shows in the calendar year or 2020 would you believe in just six Konrad that got a combined dozen that’s right as in 12 times the people holding titles have been booked like jokes and made to lose to challengers. Most of the time that’s to earn actual shots on the next apps! But wait not only did I just see the match for free but I already saw the champ lose? Where’s the appeal
No hook no long term or short term storylines
      No larger then life characters

But my mom talked to him for 20 minutes at the airport like 12 years ago. She didnt know who he was and noticed a bunch of people surrounding him, and she asked a random person who he was and they said the undertaker who she knew i was a HUGE fan of. She ended up at the same gate as him and he sat next to her, probably because he recognized that she didnt seem like an obnoxious fan. They apparently talked for a while about his kids and life, he was really nice to her. At the end he signed a paper for me and i still have it. Let me make this simple for everyone: The current state of WWE does not allow wrestlers to be stars of THAT level anymore. Doesn't matter what you do; once you a hit a certain ceiling you will never be allowed pass it.
Becky Lynch was the most over performer since '14 Daniel Bryan and pinned Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, paving the way for her to be the next John Cena; she spends the following PPVs wrestling midcard staple Natalya and newbie Lacey Evans.
Speaking of Daniel Bryan, after he became a legitimate ratings and merch draw after winning at WrestleMania 30, even though he lost the belt anyway because of injuries the plan was for him to drop the belt to Brock flippin' Lesnar at Summerslam that year.
Bray Wyatt comes in with the most intriguing gimmick in recent memory and becomes Universal champ; drops the belt to Goldberg, who was hot two decades ago.
I can go on and on but y'all get it. We can't blame the talent anymore when we've seen talent show the skills and charisma to become legitimate stars but are consistently failed by booking.

And then on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, you have Roman Reigns, who main-evented 4 WrestleManias in a row: it took Undertaker literally 20 years to main event that many. Hell, he's already main-evented more than Austin, Bret Hart, André, Savage, Angle and Lesnar, and they wonder why fans were sick of him being pushed?
It's like they don't understand how to push multiple guys at once. They must realise that the reason Austin reached such a pinnacle is because he had an incredible bunch of guys to work with. Without Bret Hart, Shawn, Undertaker, the Rock, Triple H, Kane, Foley, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Jericho, all trading the belts between each other and having awesome feuds and matches, WWE, and by extension Austin, simply never get over the way they did.

Charlotte is over as a tweaker (sometimes heel/sometimes face). No-one will EVER be like Taker and I am TRULY amazed he broke character to make the Last Ride series (which I've LOVED watching so far!!) Social Media has made it to where a Bray Wyatt or Aleister Black protecting their characters is almost impossible. I love Aleister Black, I truly hope he stays the course to become closest to Takers "mystice". He's a super nice guy, but you also know he's a little different, and at least live, he's as close to keeping his character as possible. I know that was alot to write, I hope I put it where it's understandable.
The Lana/Lashley/Rusev was NEVER going to work. I recently saw an old episode of Raw where it was LITERALLY the same being done as what they did in the restaurant "episode" where Rusev went crazy beating up Bobby and interrupting he and Lana's dinner (DAMN I wish I could remember who it was with the same exact thing!!).
They want so badly to give us a PG Attitude Era. Taker is a super classy and nice dude from what I can tell. He, HHH, Shawn Michaels (Hell ALL of DX) the Rock, Stone Cold, Mankind, etc...I know I'm missing a LOT of others-they all made alot of fans very happy and also told stories in a way I'm not sure can be recaptured EVER. It just happened to be the right group of people, at the right time, with the right fans, and given enough creative on their characters that made magic on screen. And us fans from the late 90's on, will never be able to thank him (and the others as well) for all they did for us! I wish more than anything that there was something now that we had to take our minds off of the world, if only just for a few hours a week.
P.S. Edge vs Orton was amazing. Going back to Mania this year, their "last man standing match" was brutal but incredible too! Taker vs. A.J. Styles was also gold.
I'm truly SHOCKED that Christian hasn't been inducted into the H.O.F. He deserves it.

There is what like 5 or 6 wwe superstars under the gun but I think only one is on the main roster and most are NXT and most in uk. And quite frankly if allegations are proven true, they should be gone. But mass firings? Even if all 5 or 6 are let go and even if more allegations come out, I would not call that mass firings but it definitely sheds a light on the industry as a whole that there is a problem within that industry of sexual abuse, harassment and mental and physical abuse as well

Seat down try to enjoy it and you’ll see it is good.

I think he’s saying that the current wrestlers don’t want to tread on their peers, they don’t want to steal the spotlight from their friends or outshine their friends. I might be mistaken of course, but the harsh truth is that to succeed at the level of a stone cold or a triple h or an undertaker, you have to sometimes look out for number one before anyone else, and take that role for yourself. Don’t give that opportunity to anyone else

Undertaker is absolutely right about today's wrestlers relying too much on social media. I get that it's a platform that can be effective for spreading information fast but it shouldn't be used to expose the person behind a character and let everyone know that it's all phony and a Shakespeare play. It's a lack of dedication and respect for your craft that a lot of these wrestlers have in today's wrestling. Almost everyone is "too human" and not enough "larger than life".

No way another person or character can carry out his/her role like Undertaker or Mr Mark Callaway!
And yes, he's just so very right, I belong to that attitude and pre-attitude era, and I can completely relate to the 'mystique' thing that he's saying, the characters and all the stories WWE presented to us, and the way these guys handled their characters during those times, that is what WWE is all about, that's the soul of this show!
Even during our times, we very well knew this is not real, and still got thrilled and extremely excited about this show!
But now this present lot of wrestlers and management, just don't care enough to keep that same mystery behind things, which is why this show has totally destroyed!
Honestly, how many of us, really care now, about wrestlemania or royal rumble or anything, but during my time, these events really mattered to us!
I am proud to belong to that beautiful era!
