He’s actually perfect example of a system qb. Right after leaving Belichick he rung up 5 straight wins and looked and talked like Brady. He oozed that same level of confidence and leadership. for no reason people hate to hate i dont get it.
People hate on him because 9er fans act like he’s already a top 5 QB in the nfl. He’s overrated, but that doesn’t mean he’s bad. He’s good don’t get me wrong, still has room for improvement as well. But people act like he’s the reason the 9ers got to the Super Bowl and is the sole reason the 9ers did good. 9ers Defense was tremendous this year, running game basically carried the offense past a weak defense in GB. Jimmy G managed well this season(finally played all 16 games). He’s not a top 5 though. Top 11 definitely, not 5.
Shunsha As a 49ers fan I agree. Jimmy G didn’t carry his team like Russell Wilson all the time but he did indeed help his team to get there (Saints, Rams, and Cardinals). I think he will be better this year.

What team even in success isn't beyond being complacent with their QB and did a heavy evaluation of their guy. That sort of thing can only solidify the relationship with the QB and coach when after that the coach comes out saying his guy has all time great potential.

I would’ve hated it if we got Brady. If Rodgers is available next year, he’ll yes I want in. I believe Rodgers (a 49ers fan) still has some good years left and could definitely lead us to a SB. Just to be fair. As a chiefs fan. Who knowingly has seen several times where we've been completely screwed by penalties. George Kittle pushed off of Daniel Sorenson with his left hand and the caught the ball. It was opi no doubt. I can name several times the chiefs have been effed by penalties. So it's nice that we got a call go our way. It wasnt the chiefs fault we won that super bowl.
I think it is strategic by Lynch and Shanahan. Bill Walsh traded for Steve Young when Joe Montana was winning Super Bowls. He knew the competition would make both Young and Montana better. Jimmy understands this.

All year Jimmy underthrew deep balls, which is really the biggest knock on his game so if it was completed, it probably would’ve had Sanders waiting for it (go look at the deep balls Sanders caught @NO and vs the Rams). In the big moment he overthrew instead of under throwing like he had and once you go back and see why he did that it makes me kinda feel better that he tried to adjust to make the play. Unfortunately he over corrected

The chiefs scored after that, had the 9ers scored the chiefs would have only needed 3 to tie. also, fuller should have intercepted jimmy on the previous play. so to talk about "ifs" has no value. that said I can't imagine how they would dump jimmy for tom.
