I know exactly what you mean by waking up and feeling like a new, refreshed person (in a good way, like an improved version of yourself) and thats exactly why psilocybin can be such a beneficial and therapeutic drug. It really helps you put things into perspective, be mindful and in the moment, and kind of refocus you and figure out whats important for you. They can be even more beneficial when using them when youre in a more troublesome time of your life, they can truly help you completely change your life for the better or turn your life around. That isnt to say they magically do everything for you, but they help that process A LOT. Theres a reason why they were studied, and are finally starting to be studied again for treating depression/anxiety/drug addiction, they act in such a novel and truly impactful way that actually are a true catalyst for change.

I was at the game vs Pitt as a news photographer and watched those kicks miss just under the posts. As a Mountaineer fan I never blamed Pat for the lose but it seemed the play calling was so predictable. My thought is that coach Rod knew he was leaving and just didn't care. That was the best Mountaineer team I had ever watched and miss those players they should've played for the national title.

Even microdosing can be heavy emotionally, like really heavy where you feel connected to everyone but you're really not cool with it and it feels incestuous. Just watched the Chris Herron interview right before this, I was thinking about leaving a comment but after watching this I feel like I could add some perspective from the point of view of somebody who has witnessed opioid addiction up close and personal.
My stepdad was hooked on hydromorphone (dilaudids) for years before he died. And when his workplace changed his health insurance plan to Kaiser Permanente, they started cutting back on the number of pills they'd prescribe him every month, long after he had become completely dependent on the stuff. And God only knows the suffering his body felt during that last week of the month when he would either be short on pills or completely out.
It's a far cry from smoking a lot of pot and maybe feeling too lazy and comfortable or something like that. I'm guessing it's more like, at least in Chris Herron's case, that he just felt nothing but absolute and utter pain in his injured shoulder until he got his hands on some of those painkillers.

At NCAA national championships for track and field when you got picked for random PED tests there were two sample management dudes who went with you into the toilet area, one stood behind you watching and the other directly next to you (like next urinal over distance) also watching you try and give your drug test urine sample. Talk about shy bladder or whatever damn. NCAA had a movie and unlimited gatorade in this lounge room where guys that needed to give sample tried to overload their bladders. Horrible
