James Hinkle they’re on every single expansion, game and stuff pack for sims 4, this one was never gonna be an exception. they could release a sims 4 game called the sims 4 everything you’re all asking for, island paradise, university, supernatural, vacations etc and people will say why wasnt this all sold seperately or they’re so desperate for money or even ask for one more feature they somehow missed. what people dont realise is that people were like this with every sims 3 expansion pack, comparing it to sims 2 or 1. it’ll more than likely continue with sims 5, with people comparing it to sims 4

I like the idea, Strangetown was hugely popular in the sims 2, and I love the trailer release and the only 6 day wait until it's available.. but.. it feels like it's yet another aspect of the sims that you'll play once and then never touch again?

JuanEvil Once again, it’s something they’ve put time and effort into. It’s not something they just spat out and expected money for (cough, my first pet, cough) but they genuinely put time and effort into this, and it’s clear by sale rates that people are enjoying the change of gameplay style. They could’ve pumped out any bullshit gamepack without immersive gameplay and rabbit holes for everything, but considering what they’ve done for the sims 4 in the past, I think it’s clear they put time and energy into this, and it shows. So, I’m grateful, because EAs been known for pumping out bullshit for far too much money, and I think others should be too, or put their hate (not criticism! that’s totally fine, it’s just ‘i want university’ this and that) for somewhere people actually would want to see and discuss, instead of the trailers for the game.
@@FunnyRoses idk the employees apparently have changed since the Sims 2, most of the original team left and Got replaced by mostly EA ones, they have also been told to make the lifespan of the game long, thus why they had the game uncompleted and then placed DLCs for adding minor things that were very important

The trailer always makes it look so exiting but in reality its noting else than another "use it once and then never touch" packs. A great example of that is Jungle Adventure.
It will probably be very similiar to Jungle Adventure, not gonna lie.
I think Jungle Adventure has a lot more to offer than just the exploring gameplay. It has really nice CAS and build items and Selvadorada is a really cool world. I assume Strangeville will be a really fun world and it looks like it’ll have some really great items and probably a military career. I won’t buy this pack until I see other people play it, but I do think it’ll have more to offer than a weird zombie storyline. Simmers are always asking for more occults as well, so that’ll be pretty cool.

I'm near the end of the mystery and just came back to this trailer to say I've been having SO much fun playing it!! It took me a while to get the pack but I'm glad I finally did. I really like the new paranoid trait, the new animations, the world, the CAS (especially for guys!) , and the overall aesthetic. I think the idea of a gamepack with a storyline is actually very fun; it wouldn't work for an EP imo but as a GP having that focus is so engaging!

God seeing all the whiny people on here is funny. Has anyone else noticed whenever a pack or update we have been begging for finally gets released people begin to bombard the comments and emails with MORE packs they want? I honestly think having packs like this teach them a lesson on how they can't always have want they want right away with consistent nagging. Remember if you all don't want this pack, or another 'useless' pack DON'T BUY IT. It's your choice to have it or not. So stop being ungrateful and appreciate that the Sims 4 developers actually MAKE packs. We have seasons, pets, toddlers and vampires and so someday we will get university or something similar but for now stop with the nagging and give the people making the sims 4 better and different some positive feedback for once. You want universities, open worlds and more? Go back to the sims 3 and 2

Lady Chill, it doesn't matter if you claimed you have not seen anyone speak about wanting a pack like this but you need to be more grateful. We have seasons, pets, toddlers etc so why complain? Let the sims 4 developers create the packs THEY want. They are the ones putting their time and effort into making these And yes you can argue with me by saying " they've done enough of what they want" but it is them creating the game and improving so it so unless you are a developer of the sims 4 I'd suggest you stop whining, same goes for everyone complaining '' WE WANT UNIVERSITY''. The new pack is gonna be about Strangetown and the infectious disease known as Strangetown Syndrome that has been talked about in both Sims 2 and Sims 3. The gurus seem to be infected, and the various weird facial expressions hint more at that being the case. Strangetown Syndrome looks like it was based off of Minamata Disease (non-fictional), due to both seemingly spreading through water. Minamata Disease was this phenomenon of mercury poisoning in a Japanese city because the waters got infected, and people were starting to look deformed and showed symptoms of mental illness after drinking it or eating the fish that lived in it. I analysed the positions of the various sims, and they all look very deformed (especially the hands, just like with the actual Minamata Disease, search up _Tomoko Uemura_ and look for pictures of her fingers) and have wide eyes, which are all symptoms of the Minamata Disease, or Strangetown Syndrome as depicted in the game. So they are displaying symptoms of severe mercury poisoning, except here it can be spread like a virus. Perhaps it has something to do with aliens, like a ship crashed and fluids from other planets leaked into Strangetown's waters and people started to drink it, and after that Strangetown was deemed strange because everyone was infected, weird and deformed due to the wide-spread phenomenon of poisoning?

It's almost like EA knows that Sims 2 is a better game so they're trying to make us forget it by copying certain aspects of it on Sims 4. They see Sims 2 as a threat...that's why they pulled it off from Origin.

I can't wait for this Pack! I play on XBox One so obviously it will take longer, but Get Famous released for XBox a month or 2 after it released for PC, so I can't wait! This is honestly the Gamepack I have been waiting for, I love doing strange things in Sims and I love the mystery behind everything. I think the the pack will be super fun and really interactive. Sims just keeps getting better!

When I first saw this pack I thought it was interesting but wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it. After watching some footage that people with early release posted I couldn't wait to download it. It's so different from that The Sims has done before and trying to follow some sort of in game storyline was so fun. Playing it was addicting and I really hope they will try something like this again! After some negative feedback that I've seen I hope it doesn't discourage them to think outside of the box :)
