I have to agree with you! Although we're not doing anything but creating a sim it's way too addictive! Every time I got off the computer yesterday 5 minutes later I was on it again.
Tried it last night, really love the amount of customisation of the characters. I can't wait to see how the game plays and see if sims actually have some personality. Roll on September!

I got the demo early, IT IS SOOOOO FUN! I got to make my family and it was freakishly accurate. You can do so much more with this one.

TheAnangrycharizard It will work because the demo's size is 1.06 GB (unless it has extra files that add more size) but it may lag a bit since you have little space left. At least it's 1.06 GB :) Try it out if you'd like.

Can you make the demo available for mac to? I love the sims games and I have been wanting to play sims 4 for forever and finally the demo came out but I can't get it because I have a mac.
Since people, want pools and toddlers, and you don't have enough time to animate it, why not for the Generations Expansion, add toddlers, and for the Seasons Expansion, add pools! You don't need to take my idea, but maybe, you have the chance to do that. (:

my demo keeps glitching out and it has like some purple line through some of the stuff like you cant even read somthing on the gallery thats how much its glitching but i still played it and i had some fun

So I just played the demo and . . . idk if because I've been playing this since The Sims 1 or maybe I find the create a Sims4 demo more restrictive then The Sims 3 but I don't think I like it. Not sure if I'm going to buy it. If I am, it probably wont be until well after the release date. I wasn't too much into it.

I love the demo
I mean the problem is, this is basically it tbh. The demo appears to be everything that the game is. It's half finished with no graphic improvement and a lack of the basics. When the Sims 3 came out I had such high hopes for how amazing the Sims 4 would be. DISAPPOINTED.

Please note the word "Demo" in the name. Usually, demo's have only certain features and content.

It feels like they've put all of this effort into being able to mold the faces, and not a lot of effort into much else. And well I sure can't be a toddler so I guess I'll just HAVE to be a baby.

I've just realised I've no idea where the last three hours of my life went :D This is awesome! I love it - completely different, so much variety. Runs smoothly, loading doesn't exist here (maybe YET, but who cares) and the modifiers are just perfect. I'm stoked. If that's what I'm exchanging toddlers for, then I have no complaints! Can't wait till I get it. Will the in-demo library be accessible from the game?
They are just now releasing the CAS demo for everyone? I've had it since July, I thought everyone got it.

I can't believe it, I can't actually believe people are taking EA's side on this one, and opposing the "complainers".
Let me spell it out clear for you idiots: I for one don't really care about toddlers. I care about pools yes, but maybe I could look past it. The thing that annoys me about these two is WHY they left them out - they have no excuse, the 'reason' they gave was complete bs, and anyone with half a brain could tell it's a cover up. Remember SimCity's Offline stuff? Yeah, so you trust EA still? That's laughable.
But no, the main issue here is the OTHER stuff they've left out just so they can grab your cash quicker - they don't CARE about you. They don't care about 'die-hard' fans of the game, they just want your money and they give no shits on whether they ruin this franchise or not.
And what stuff am I talking about? How about story progression? Yep, there is literally NO story progression in this game. So much for 'detailed neighborhoods', am I right? One of the core reasons I buy this game, and I'm sure many others buy it, is now gone completely, and I have to manually control EVERY sim everywhere so their lives advance. Oh, and free will mode is gone. So now you literally HAVE to do everything for them. That includes all the mundane bits like making sure they take a shit at the right time. Terrain sculpting is also gone. I shouldn't even need to go on at this point, hundreds more things are left out (lists are online on the sims forums etc), and this game is now just for bored teenage girls and housewives to play with. And do you guys get it yet? Nope, you suck up all their bullshit like you did before. It's almost funny to watch.
I might play this game if I can even be bothered to pirate it.

Tbh they could add in some of the stuff later on anyway, yeah no story progression sucks but I personally wouldn't miss it too much, toddlers eh and I never used pools. I think I'll still personally enjoy it and it IS a simulation game, I never used free will it used to piss me off.
LMAO you havn't even played the game yet you literately only think you know about it based on vague beta tweets that side developers made in the past and the sole reason that toddlers and pools arent there. You're not a programmer, and you have no idea if it was going to cause problems with the base launch to include water and swimming and whatever new things with this engine. You've never worked with this engine. It's not the same as any of the past games.
Play it first and then make conclusions- but don't act like the series is dying. None of the sims games have very in depth or impressive base games anyways. Give it a few expansion packs and see what you think then.

I played around with the demo when my best friend got it. I really loved it! And I even compared it to Sims 3 (cause she had that game too) So I will say that this new CAS is a HUGE improvement from the previous games, and I have played all predecessors. But I'm still not sure it justifies paying nearly $80 dollars.

To be honest, toddlers and swimming pools aren't even that big of a deal. It's not like they are taking out young adults and toilets or anything. Who actually even cares. My biggest issue, with the Sims 4, is that they're going to put loading screens for traveling to other neighborhoods back in the game. (like how it was in the Sims 2.) That really pisses me off. I don't really understand why people are bitching about toddlers not being in the game when there are MORE things that are not so great about this game.

***** Actually, the loading screens aren't really like The Sims 2 loading screens, The Sims 2 had this long ass loading screen that everyone hated, but The Sims 4 has a 5-7 sec loading screen, it will go to the neighbor from a birds eye view you click on, lets say, The Park and poof your sim just pops their. And your opinion about toddlers and pools, I agree with you so much, because on every Sims 4 video I click on people are giving shit to EA about no toddlers and pools, FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME.

The only thing you can do with pools is swim back and forth, and toddlers are annoying. I don't see why everyone is complaining. I'm still getting the game.

Yeah I agree, I mean there are no toddlers, no pools, you have a loading screen to go to places again, it looks like a cartoon, no circle stairs and teens, young adults, adults, and elders are he same size, it does seem like they took a step way back to sims 1

Guys you need to try this demo you have excuse not to its free after that you'll have a big change about the hame i didn't like before but when i tryes the demo i fell in love with it, the only is CAST that's missing
It may have just been the speed of my laptop, (filled with sims 3 expansion packs) but did anyone find that the slow adjustment of the body parts really got on their nerves? It just seemed a bit stiff (ha) to me
