This pack is so boring and generic, we can already make tiny homes, instead they should've added something actually new like bigger lots over 64x64 and increased floors and basements.

Mansions look great, but they are impractical for everyone except builders. We get at least 3 new types of functional items (the murphy bed, the tv/bookshelf/stereo combo, and that interesting new dining table with attached chair) that save space.

That's a little complex animation to do. Its to do with the doors and being able to implement the height to fit through the doors. Aside from that, it would be lovely.
they would have to redo literally all the animations. that said you can easily download a mod for that if you don’t care about screwed up animations

It's so odd. I installed Sims 2 recently just for the sake of nostalgia and I realised THERE ARE A LOT OF ANIMATIONS REMOVED in the sims 3 and 4 . I mean sims 2 was the most realistic sims ever... I wish they could bring those animations back. Like the one where they serve the food foe everyone in the house or how they go shopping. How the actually sit in the car instead of disappear and re apper in them. And that cool downtown?? Full of shoppings and casinos
remember,anything will had limit. Sims 3 open-world but the game engine is mess.Sims 4 CAS,Build Mode so much better but Sim AI are really stupid,and only react to emotions. Sims 2 better in details but limited to 1 neighborhood.

If they listened to us they’d see so many interesting suggestions, some people I hear give criticism and concept ideas for the sims seem to have more of an interest in making the game fun to play than the Maxis do. Even if they did put all their collective 6 brain cells together to try and make a Tiny Living pack me and my friend came up with ideas that couldn’t come up with themselves for a Tiny Living pack
So maxis came up with

Pull down beds.
Furniture that’s the same size as all the other furniture
My and my friend
Bunk beds
Spiral Staircase
Ladders
Sofa-Beds (pull out beds)
Solar Panels- since we’re following a eco living theme

More things for apartments to work with city living
I think Tiny Living is a stupid idea and we could already live small in the sims if we wanted too but I think it’s worse that the ideas they did have were boring and uncreative on top of the whole concept being boring and uncreative

@dr103 i think the idea is that we were hoping they'd be giving more items to fit into something like a 3x3, meaning cheats wouldn't be needed and we could build "tiny" houses smaller than what we can already. As the pack doesn't really seem like we can actually utilise smaller spaces right now.

This is really sad. The sims franchise has really gone down over the past couple of years. There’s no expansion or stuff pack that will make up for the lack of gameplay and depth the sims 4 has

Loroline honestly yes!! All of my inspo pics from the internet have ladders and it’s sooo frustrating trying to rework the entire layout to accommodate a freaking staircase. Plus then I have to resize tons of stuff to fit under/around and it messes with the scaling because I’m not great at it yet
@@moriahnash4981 I know what you mean. It's so hard to redesign a whole layout just to add a staircase. I would hope if they would at least some stair cases with storage cubbes/draws in them so that theirs a more multifunctional purpose. But maybe they add a multifunctional furniture expansion that adds ladders and foldable stairs.
This actually should be a no-brainer for the developers considering we already have ladders they use to get in and out of the water. The programming is already there. Whoever is in charge of these types of decisions is really pushing some of us Simmers to throw up our hands and say screw this game. Sorry just being honest.
@@Fillagry It's not like I hate the new Extension or the game it's self. But there's always going to be negotiate critisim. I just wanted to discuss the idea of adding ladders for lofts, separate from pool ladders. And besides it would be nice to have multifunctional furniture such as ladders to ue outside and inside, stairs with storing underneath, and or outher interesting was of space saving. I enjoy the fact that the development team listen to use when we asked for more beds tiles and give options for different expansion pack ideas. The Arts and crafts expansion pack ideas for example, they gave Simers different room designs, outfits, and objects to choose what they wanted or aspects they wanted from each concept.
Loroline my main point is that the programming is already there but they choose not to create. One can’t help but wonder why. Most of the comments in response to this pack are of that nature.
I get anxiety when my sims are on the top level of their house and they have to go to work in an hour and that house at 0:22 gave me war flashbacks

@@princessofjedi I actually found one that works pretty well, I can try to find the link to it if you'd like! But I agree, I'd prefer an actually canon bunk bed system and animation for my sims. The one I use now lets two sims to sleep at the same time, except the top bunk is a deformed stretch and jump into the bed lol. or they'll float when getting out of bed..
This is a stuff pack not a game pack... The whole reason we get stuff packs is so we can have more STUFF not gameplay.

I don't see how the bed will actually save space, you'll have to leave room so that the Sims are able to pull it down. Bunk beds would have saved space!
Some beds have mirrors, TVs, etc. When they are up. That's why they save space. But I still wish they had added bunk beds

The beds could also be placed so that when pulled down they block a hallway but when they are put away the hallway is clear.

That's what I wanted to say. I've been waiting for ladders for so long. Why can't we get them? The animation is literally in the game, we have the island living one... Stairs are just too big in many homes.

Saw their stream where they almost called this pack:
Small Pack, or Small Stack Pack, or something like that. Anything that had to do with "small", but couldn't think of a good title because they knew people would make fun of "small packs" in the community. So, they went with Tiny Living instead.

If you watch lilsimsie they once asked her to do a small build to house like 8 sims or something. I just remembered by watching this so there might be more Lowkey hints dropped with other streamers we just never paid enough attention or though they were probs trolling 😂😂
