Basically, depending on how your kids are raised in this, it will impact their lives by giving them character value traits. It's not in the trailer, but the website announced it, and I think it sounds pretty cool.

Jai Angel yesss they really needed more textured hair. I'm an average white boy, but I know that if I ever wanted to create a POC character, i wouldn't have enough hair options as i would creating a character of any other race. There's only like, what, five hairstyles that are properly textured?

New instruments such as a saxophone, maybe a cello, a drum set, and maybe a few others. Concerts are added where you can go with multiple other sims to watch a live performance. A new social event where people come to watch you perform.

i have a feeling people are forgetting that EA is a company with working humans like any other job, and mind you when this kind of stuff is on the drawing board that different people have different opinions on what should be added, and most of the things they talk about probably can't be animated with there budget or time because they have lifes and problems of there own, and the people that have families need to spend time with them just as much as these sims do. The comments tell one story, but the like/dislike bar tells another. -- I, for one, am very excited for this game pack. This is EXACTLY the type of content that will keep me in game for hours, family stuff revolving around raising kids. Very new ideas that we've never had in the Sims before. I am curious about new expansion packs though.

This seems really interesting, especially if you enjoy creating big families rather than your standard 1-2 Sims household.
Would definitely buy this pack. Made my Sim (who's been single for too long) get into a relationship, so this pack will come in handy when I decide they should finally settle down and start a family.

Guys, guys ease up for a second. Some of you may find this very boring but think for a sec, for family players this pack is genious. There are not a lot of family interactions in the base game. A parent can not even give love to their teen child, only hug and talk about woohoo as far as I can remember. This pack contains loads of interactions, which makes a teen, really a teen. Not just skinnier versions of their adult selves.
This is why I find playing children and teens boring because they do not stand out. They did an amazing job with toddlers, so I'm sure they did amazing with this pack as well.
And before you say: 'But we pay them, it's their job.' Yes that's true. But there is still no need to be an ass about it. I'm not saying everyone who has a complaint says this, but I've seen comments calling the developers very rude curse words and names, for just not giving what they want.
Hold on there for a second, that is in the first place very rude, second place it's not their place to call them that. They're very hard workers, but they also have families they come home to. The developers are people too.
Sure it takes longer than for TS3, but as TS4 runs on a more advanced engine, it's also more difficult to animate, code, design and what not than for 3. Plus the teams are less people.
Just give it time, what you ask for, will come.
By the way, requesting a pack is different than demanding. (Give me this, or else.....!)

I agree with this! It frustrates me to see people calling on them in such a rude way. There is a difference between voicing an opinion and being plain rude. The packs will come, these are just adding bits to the gameplay IF people want to add them. It is not a necessity for everyone. I love this one, I'm very much a "family" player!

I agree on the university pack, that would be amazing! The reason I kept playing Sims 2 for as long as I did was because of the college and the pets expansion pack to be honest. I'd love Seasons because it makes the game much more realistic and I'd love that. They will give us Pets now, so maybe your other suggestions will be added too!

It would be hard to implement that in the game since you would need new animations for different heights. But i do think that teens shouldn't be as tall as young adults and adults

that would be a very challenging thing to do which will involve lots of new animations so I'm not sure. But I feel like teens should be smaller or adults taller which ever works

I started off my newest legacy with two orphaned teens and they're now young adults, almost done with college. They both have three positive character traits: Well-mannered, Responsible, and I can't remember the last one.
1:10 either toddlers can sleep on bigger beds or adults can now put children to bed, which is adorable

The fact this pack 4y old i am still rocking it even now very worth it into family game play
I'm so exited for this! I tend to have very big families on the sims and live making memories with all the kids and taking as many family photos as I can. I feel like this pack will give that very realistic feel. Not to mention you get to shape them as they grow which will definitely be cute or not so cute to see how one thing they might have done a lot formed the way for them as a adult or teenage sim.
Excited for this. I hope they can do a more advanced version of the GoTo School mod, where there are cliques n stuff & actual classes, & lunch, & school activities etc . That'd be so epic

I've learned from TS2 and TS3, when it comes to clothing and hair you're better of sticking to custom content. For 3.98 you can get unlimited, ad free downloads on The Sims Resource. I'd definitely suggest checking it out. I've been getting CC from that site since TS2. There are a lot of great creators on that site as well. Marigold also makes really fashionable CC clothes for TS4.
I used a lot of custom content when I still played ts3 and it messed up my game, so now I'd rather avoid that so I won't mess up ts4 as well. If I knew cc wouldn't mess up my game I would use it, but my computer is already kinda shit so I don't want to risk it.

I would love to see a jewelry stuff back with facial piercings and belly button piercings, etc. maybe with some new tattoos and more places to have them. That just seems like it would add more character to the game. I'm excited for this pack!

I really love this! It seems so cool, I especially love the braids the little girl has. I've been waiting for those type of braids(forgot the specific name), since all other braids are super thin and are basically the same. I'm just waiting for the day they come out with more park equipment, at least some slides and a set of swings? Especially swings, they have toddler versions of that irl ya know. But meh, I'm cool with that for now.
Also,because I just really felt like I should say this, if you haven't noticed, usually before a new pack or feature comes out there's hints to it. Such as 'Tell a joke about -insert whatever here-' or certain animations or decors. Even in City Living and Vampires, I noticed that there are quite a few more animal animations. Rats, bugs and birds(even though birds have been there already, there are certainly way more detailed things about it.) And honestly, I don't see how the other Sims games were so great despite the features. In my opinion the menu is so overly complicated it hurts, the way some things are animated makes it creepy rather than adorable or fun, plus I've heard tales of countless glitches and bugs. But hey, you do you.
Also one other thing, if you think it's so easy to just throw something into a video game, then you make it. Use some mods! Something! Or just play the game you think is oh so great! If it was so great, why are you even near the Sims4 community? That or if you want to do so much with your family, do it in real life!
Would be cool if there were trampoline, or kiddie pool or something. I thought this pack would be about all the family, but it's more about parents raising their children ( which is similar, but not exactly the same) it still looks awesome!

there are actually two mods where you can get trampolines and kiddie pools. XUrbanSimsX did mod reviews on them.
I just want more interactions and group activities. A family of sims all doing their own solo thing is boring. But ya, stuff like that seems like it should be part of the base game. At least toddlers were free. That was a surprise.

Hopefully the devs will have tuned this pack to work with it's features. Game Packs in the past have been great for this. Like with Dine Out, the Sims you take to a restaurant do tend to just sit at their table, unless they have to use the bathroom.
I sometimes have trouble keeping a single adult sim in order; it's like trying to teach a puppy to not piss on the carpet.

I have an idea for a new pack. Call it the events pack. It's sort of what already happens in San Murino but more. There could be a lantern floating event, possibly a funeral, etc. I hope you can take this idea into consideration!
I love it!! Everything seems so perfect! And people who are complaining.. wow, just.. wow.. Learn to be patient and appreciate what you get. Toddlers weren't there for the first two years of Sims 4, but guess what? Now they are super well done. There's a reason some things take time. What do you want then? EA just rushing things just so everyone shuts up with their complaints, only to have them release it when it isn't at its best yet? I rather wait longer and get perfectly well done content, than content that feels incomplete.
That's the problem. I honestly don't know too much about this game because I never got into it (I'm waiting for it to have mor content) but I'm a huge Sims 2 and 3 fan. You should tell people to be patient when you don't have to pay that much money for everything EA Games releases. They do rush their content. Why do you think the Sims 4 was released with no toddlers? They probably had a lot of pressure from somebody to start selling the game asap and the team didn't have the time to finish the toddlers/pools. Hence why it was free later: it should have been a part of the base game and they couldn't make it on time.
I'm starting to like this game more as new expansions come out, but I get why people would be angry. Some of the packs are not worth that much money to me because they don't give you that much to look forward to. I'm not hating on anybody, I get that companies have a big pressure with these types of very commercial games, I'm just saying it seems a bit rushed at times. Just me though.
I would rather have a full base game than buy content that cost $200 to make my original purchase feel worth it.
Exactly my thoughts. This is the problem I see with this game. Usually, base games are worth it by themselves. Since the Sims is a saga that graduallyadds up as new content comes out, it makes it very expensive when a base game such as the one from the Sims 4 doesn't have that much to look forward to. And instead of making big expansion packs they keep making tiny packs that sure, if you add them all up make the game way better, but it's a lot of money.
Its called business. Do I think the stuff packs are WAAAY overpriced? Yep, but guess who keeps buying them... EA making that bread.

Parenthood is awesome! It's the perfect pack for me to practice my parenting skills for when I eventually become a mother. My only problem is that teens have pretty tough mood swings and phases to knock out but it makes sense since it's a part of growing up and maturing! Overall, Parenthood is a much worthwhile and arguably necessary pack!

Kyle Phillips I've been saying that since 2016. We need hotels, it would be so much fun! Though with all the items in the hotel, it could really slow down your game. Videos that made hotels in the sims (TheSimSupply) have said that it's slowed their game from the number of items in the lot.
Gerard Lesterell That will be awesome, Like Dine out. But you have to give them Food and condiments. You can fix the messy rooms. You can hire janitors, the cook, the host thing at the check out thingy, staffs and more! Maybe some lights or electricity in a room will burn out and you have to fix it! And work your way to a 1 star hotel into a 5 star hotel.

Love this pack adds more life to toddlers (whispers)even though they already have lots of it(stops)and more life to children teens and even fir adults to take care of there children.

This pack looks great! It will definitely give families a lot more depth in the game. It seems parents sims interact with their children more (help them out with protects, ground them, I like how these game packs are more fleshed out and gives us new things while we wait for expansions and they are pretty afford able as well ($20 and sales are not bad considering everything they have been bringing to the game-one has a vacation town, another has restaurants you can own, Vampires, etc...).
When the middle sister burps and the toddler giggles.... my favorite part! I love the toddlers!

I have a logging on issue and I can't buy the packs directly from the store and I have to wait for it to come out in stores. I am still waiting for Vamps but I don't want to restart ( you know if you play the sims). Is there a way for it to get in stores faster or to get it?
I have played this one for a while already, and I think is awesome. Good one, really! The idea of adding psychological traits and being able to nurture them with parenting skills it´s very cool. Everything that makes the game more complex (and resembles important characteristics of real life) is welcomed.
I hope there is a prom! That was always one of my favorites from sims 3 :)

They may add an additional pack based around the adolescents and kiddos like Generations. I personally LOVED dolling up all my teenagers for prom it was extremely fun.

They're probably gonna release Pets, Uni, and seasons. Those are usually the most popular right? Don't be surprised though, look at what happened to Mass Effect Andromeda, everyone bitched about EA ruining it just because they're involved at all.

I am really excited, and I can't be more thankful for everything EA has done. I want pre-teens. I want pets. I want cars. I want everything that makes The Sims more realistic. But we all need to slow down...I know we all want EA to release new packs (packs we've had before, new to the sims 4) but guys please try to be more patient. I always see comments complaining about the packs, that we don't need them. But seriously, this is what we call progress!!! New creative packs that we haven't had before, new experience, new things to do. I know, pets is something I really want but stop complaining. Pre-teens is an example of something new, that could be a thing to work on in the future, Sims 5 for example. I think we should be thankful and be happy about every pack. Everyone has different opinions, so I don't mind if you don't agree with me. I just don't want people to comment about it like it's the end of the world. Now re-watch this trailer and see all the new and fun things that EA has put in this pack! Feel free to comment about what you think 💕💕
