Mizzy. I mean, yeah, it's possible. But if they are working on it, it won't be out for a verrrry long time. Just like Seasons and Pets, there's a lot of work going into it. These are just the fillers while they work on those. So if there will be toddlers, it'll be a long while before we see anything about them.
Loving these little packs that you pump out. I notice how people are demanding with seasons and pets without realizing that those take FOREVER. These fillers are really good ways to add those little things for my sims' lives.

I've said this before and I'll say it again:
Sims 4 fans, I would urge you to consider if perhaps those expansions with all the stuff you want simply aren't coming. There's quotes from some developers about how the tech used to design Sims 4 is "more limiting" than the tech used to make Sims 3, and there were rumors before release that 4 was intended to be online akin to SimCity but that was scrapped and the game overhauled when SimCity bombed.
I am seriously beginning to wonder if EA isn't just blatantly being greedy (well I mean that to. That's their thing), but rather they legitimately CANNOT deliver half the stuff the fans actually want, thus the radio silence while they churn out stuff pack after stuff pack after stuff pack, as a desperate way to both breathe life into the franchise and drum up a profit, while also hopefully appeasing to fans enough that the demands for specific features simply die down.
On behalf of an old jaded gamer that's so sick of watching franchise after franchise wither and die just because gamers are negligent enough to let companies get away with making less, please please please, do not buy this crap. There's nothing here that anyone should be just DYING to have. Hold out, keep your wallet shut, and send a god damned message that you guys want actual content and not just stuff they can produce en masse for a quick buck. If I have to read one more "TWO gameplay objects instead of one! That's pretty neat" comment, I swear I'll be cutting my own limbs off for every stuff pack. Just stop compulsively buying this shit as if there's some cardinal sin being committed if you don't have the FULL edition with every god damned leaf, roll of toilet paper or sofa cushion officially produced by EA themselves.

Can I get a amen for this comment. I mean who needs a stuff pack full of plants basically they could have saved this for the game pack that they are being so hush hush about. I would take a furniture/home decor stuff pack over this thrown together pack.
But really all us fans are asking for are pets, toddlers, cars & seasons. The game has fake cars that drive along the streets all day and night so that's definitely not impossible, toddlers are just shorter children, and there are literally mods out there that change the seasons but some people would rather not mod their games. So really the only think that we are asking for that would possibly be a hassle for them is pets.

Well let me clarify, I'm certain anything is possible with enough time, but the important thing to keep in mind is that there are time limits on games. It's easy to say a game could have every feature imaginable, but the company will set a schedule for when what feature gets released based on what they feel is realistic, profitable, and has a nice balance of servicing the current project while not detracting time from future projects.
In that sense, don't get me wrong, I'm sure ALL of the above would be possible, but realistically speaking, the workload neccesary for each of them may not be deemed cost effective. Pets, toddlers and seasons are three things that I'd consider dev time intensive, since two require new animations, meshes and the like, while the third practically touches on everything.
As I said, the concern is that if you dig, you'll find pre-release rumors for Sims 4 about how it was mismanaged, how it's stuck on a game engine optimized for online play and not for a game like Sims 3, how the technology the devs have to work with is more limiting, etc etc etc. I've not played Get Together, but clubs actually sound quite neat. Despite how neat and inventive they sound, they also sound quite simple to implement. The developers behind clubs deserve kudos for their ingenuity, but - and I could be wrong - I get the sense that clubs are not the most difficult thing to program in, compared to some other alternatives. Everything we've seen gives me this sneaking suspicion that EA is in a situation where the technology behind Sims 4 is truly limiting, and features aren't being delivered not for some bland reason like "laziness," but because they're not sure how to implement said features in a reasonable time frame.
The whole thing just seems like a mess to me. I'm sure the actual dev team on the Sims 4 means all the best, but I'm sure their hands are tied by their superiors and their options are limited; that's typically how things go with companies like these. I imagine a dev team that wants the franchise to survive, but to pull that off, they're stuck with this mish-mash of sub par tools to work with. And of course, no company in it's right mind will be up front and say "this'll be hard to implement," thus radio silence on expansions and game packs. I imagine the stuff packs there are to placate the public a bit and provide a distraction.
But anyways, I don't want to speculate too much. Regardless of those speculations, the fact of the matter is that this is a notoriously greedy company that released a sub-par sequel (even if you're enjoying the Sims 4 now, you must admit it's had very mixed reception), and now a significant amount of time has passed and stuff packs are the ONLY thing this title doesn't lack. For once I would like to see a community of gamers say "you know what, NO I don't need to own every single bit of official content." I swear it often feels like gamers have a completionist mentality with their purchases, and want the authenticity of a full version. For once, step back and ask what that actually entails and what content is actually being received. It's just extra knick knacks and furniture/plants with a slightly different aesthetic. Only two of those have unique functionality, and I PROMISE you the functions displayed here are easily made via mods.
I feel like some people might be making purchases to support the Sims franchise, out of fear things aren't going so great. Counter-argument: if you support them too much, then they'll adapt and release less content in the future, and Sims 5 will likewise see a rocky release. I also promise that, were EA to announce tomorrow that it's abandoning the Sims IP entirely, at least three other companies would recognize the gap in the market and attempt to capitalize off it by creating their own spin-offs, and healthy competition often means more refined features.
At the end of the day the take away is to just think critically about purchases. As I said before, I've sadly seen waaaaay too many franchises go downhill because the fans were content with accepting an attitude of "wow, this one has TWO items with functionality instead of one!"

+xנ-ѕιмм₠яx Yeah, it did take years in those games, but they won't even tell us if they're working on it or not for TS4. That's my issue with it. There's no reassurance that they're coming from EA. All they have to do is say, "Yes, seasons, pets and toddlers will eventually be added to the game" and it'd make a lot of people happy. But nope, no word from the devs on whether we'll get what we're asking for.
how about a stuff back where we can build a custom restaurant and have the premium content be a restaurant stove with a chef and a waiter. And it comes with all types of restaurant decor and the venue type.

In every stuff packed we get decor clothing, hair, and a premium content item so why can't we get that for a restaurant stuff back. Where the premium content item is a professional stove that comes with a chef and one waiter and the rest is decor .

-Seasons
-More vacation spots

-Bunkbeds

Finally! Gardens are what I do best and now I will have the things I need.
Please EA, leave a look at the Weddings and that no one sits down, my couple won't stay dressed in their Wedding attire (even if I am playing one of the sims). Sometimes the sims (bride or groom) will leave for work before they can marry. There is are other bugs as well and not even a slow dance, sigh. I swear they're just trolling us now. What's next the toilet stuff pack? The last good thing they put out was the Get To Work EP. I have every single SP, EP and GP for the Sims 4 so far and I feel like an idiot. I bought Get Together because my favorite simmers hyped it up so much, but it's trash and I wanted a refund after realizing how there wasnt any new gameplay in it.

stuff packs have only been worth half of what they cost.. when I got kitchen I was pissed by the small amount of kitchen appliances, counter etc.. they cld of added alot of stuff but chose to half ass it. movie pack sucked. patio pack comes with only two hot tubs! wtf. now this will bring a fountain and a wishing well. few bushes n stones... no thx.
I bought one stuff pack from them and I was pissed too when I saw what I got. Never buying a stuff pack again.

+Munchkins Rock The Sims 3 had gay sims in their commercials before, like Supernatural and University Life. For Romantic Garden, they should have included gay couples.
+GroovyGadget I don't see what the problem is really, like you said they've included LGB Sims in games in trailer's & promos before, & also there was a render around the time The Sims 4 was just coming out that had a pride promotion. They're not gonna put them in every trailer, not to sound harsh but LGB are still a small representation of the population, so usually they're going to show more heterosexual pairings & besides I don't think orientation is the main driver of what they're trying to sell here.
they don't need to go out of there way for diversity you can do that in your own game play

The people behind The Sims have shown support and acceptance of gay people in many different ways, so it's odd how they don't include at least one gay couple in this commercial. Just because the gay community is a minority, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be represented. People of color are also minorities, does that mean they shouldn't be included?
