Though it was probably already planned as an expansion pack before the game launched while it should have been a part in the base game before release.
Something is fishy when the previous title in the franchise had more base content at launch.

It has some cool aspects, but my problem with it is how random it is. There's no theme. It looks like they were originally gonna make some sort of Late Night/University thing but then got lazy and said "fuck it, let's just make it about hanging out with your friends and shit". This should be at most a $20 game pack, not a $40 EP...
Des I thought the same thing. When it first opened up it looked like some small college town w/ the banners and the pub. Then went into the dance scenes so I was like...ooo late night? But nope. nope.
Des It focusing on groups. The sims series has always been bad about this feature. Group in Sims 3 was awful but in Sims 4 they're okay. I do think this is a needed expansion pack.

Des I agree to an extent. Usually the trailers give pretty good info, but I can't tell what this EP is supposed to be about or if it even has a theme. It feels sort of like a mixed bag of features. Maybe they'll clarify more as the release date gets closer. This EP does look like it has some fun features.
I really love the townies here, particularly Sofia and Candy. they're the icing on the cake in this EP

Because night life was pretty much only for one type of sim single adults which is not enough for an EP seeing how it takes a day or 2 to get marred so the cars and vampires gave it just enough to make it worth it

NICE! It has some really cool new aspects like the dancing, fire juggling, DJ, swimming in the lake, beer drinking, foosball, closet changing and woohoo. But I have to say, it's not as much as I would expect in a expansion, but I'm sure there is more to it! Can't wait to find out more about this EP!

I know it's a little late,but looking back,this was one of the best expansions sims 4 had and it was something completely new and original(it wasn't something we already had in the previous games like seasons,pets,university etc).I really think that because of the hate comments EA couldn't be as creative as they wanted and I really believe that affected the game a lot.I totally understand people's complains,I had them too,and sims 4 totally lacked lots of stuff if you compare it with sims 2 or 3,but I really believe that after some point people were booing any new idea that came for the game,so EA didnt bother trying something new while they actually could create something nice and new at the same time.Maybe sims 4 would have been way more nicer if people gave it time and didn't just demand seasons,pets etc.I'm not saying we shouldn't have asked for those games but maybe we shouldn't have been so aggressive.Every sims 4 trailer or video mostly had hate comments about how people wanted the previous expansion packs.

Okay, am I the only one here who is actually exited for this? The amount of people practically dissing all of EA and Maxis hard work is disgusting! I just don't get why they didn't put toddlers in the base game. That's basically a stage of life getting skipped & it's also weird seeing an infant grow into a 7 or 8 year old.

Lazy Game Reviews I'm under the very uncomfortable impression that this is a "filler" expansion pack. Like a grand mix of all the litlle gimmicky assets Maxis creators came up with recently and decided to pack up under the most generic possible name. There is no theme, no gameplay idea, not even a feeling of discovery transpiring from that trailer.
I can very well imagine the guys at EA saying "The Seasons/Pets/Adventure EP will not be ready for this year ? We NEED to sell something for christmas, just make something up quickly".

xנ-ѕιмм₠яx Well some people aren't swimming in money and can't afford to keep paying $40 every few months for stuff that should already be in the game. With all the expansions packs, game packs, stuff packs, and the base game it costs a total of $200 dollars so far. It's all stuff that should be in the base game already. If each expansion was like half the price it is right now I might consider buying them but for now, it's way too expensive.

The last time I saw this trailer was about 5 months after release. I have always had a bond with The Sims series. I played The Sims 2 when i was at my cousins house, my parents bought me an PS3 with Sims 3 for Christmas and i was obsessed with Sims 4 since it came out. I begged my parents for about 3 years to get it, and when i finally got it (like 2 month after toddlers came out) I played EVERYDAY. This trailer is one of my favorite trailer of all the Sims trailers, I play the song constantly (which I have had in my Spotify playlist ever since GT came out) And when I saw this trailer for the first time in years, I cried like a baby. Its just the feeling of nostalgia is just to much for me. I love the Sims. Of course it has its flaws but i can really neglect that when I play bc of nostalgia and pure joy (Thanks 9 year old me hehe!) Sims 4 is such pure comfort for me, so I almost never get bored hehe... (Sorry for my poor English, its not my first language)

People don't seem to understand the concept that those aspects take forever to create and perfect. The coding for pets is massive and it will take a while for them to come back. Even in the sims 3 we didn't get pets until after a couple of years, EA isn't flat out saying they're never going to include them it's just people need to be more patient. If those things were added now people would still be complaining that there isn't enough to do.

As for toddlers, they just today released a new survey to players FINALLY awknoledging toddlers, it is actually suggested in this survey, but also PRETEENS.

sua's bottom Dine Out is quite glitchy and if you run the sims 4 on a slower computer it may be laggy. Though it is fun to take your sims out on dates to the restaurant.

+Jerad Mal This pack is all about Socialising, it adds an In-Depth Clubs/Groups System, Dancing Skill, DJ Skill, New Aspiration, New Trait, Natural Pool Tool, Windenburg(a large multi-themed world), new interactions and gameplay objects etc. Plus customisable phones, plumbobs. The ability to choreograph dance moves and create mix tapes.
The Sims 4 is getting new content monthly, so I beg to differ.

I made a showcase on the Spa Day game pack, which won't have as much as an expansion pack, and I showed I thing 75% of everything in the game very fast and very just briefed through it, and it was a 45 minutes long video.

+Reema Alaadel Thank you. It seems to be either the least informative trailer ever, or all the expansion gives you is a foosball table, closet, DJ booth with lights, and a fire twirling / dance skill. I'm going to take Brandon's advice and see it that is really all there is by going to the website.
This was kind of my speculation for this expansion. It was some party or night life theme just its not in a city its in Europe. I had to watch this trailer here to really see what was in it versus the conference and u can say in excited for it. I see the return of the dj booth, foosball table, and the return of walk in closets! Which is another woohoo location that I'm all for. I like that sims will now be able to swim in another body of water besides pools and it looked like a lake and I can't forget all the new animations such as the new dancing and flips and oh my gawd. It's just so much. I can't wait until November because I will be getting this. I'm not upset it wasn't toddlers or something else because I knew it wasn't and I didn't set myself up for disappointment. They will come when the time is right.

You know what, I have to say that I'm really looking forward to this EP. A lot of people are complaining for Seasons, Pets, and Toddlers like EA really isn't going to EVER release those things in due time. They've given us everything else we've whined over, so I don't see them turning their ears off now. This trailer was confusing the first time I watched it, but after reading up on "Get Together" from TheSims4 website I'm thrilled for this! It's like a mixture of Late Night, Showtime, and University in a way. It's bringing a lot of new social interaction and that's always a good thing! It's early and we don't know every detail about this EP so don't knock it until you try it. Excited to explore all this game has to offer. It's building up really well with the first few packs that've been released! Bring on November!!!

If you want some old Sims 3 contents, play The Sims 3. The producer are doing a good job at bringing stuff packs, game packs and expansions that are fun and that add some gameplay to The Sims 4. Keep in mind that you may not get toddlers or pets.. Well honestly pets will obviously happen at some point but I'm so sick of earing about toddlers! They didn't put it in the game for a reason so please get over it people. The producers are trying to satisfy a massive fan amount, just be patient and eventually you may get your little toddlers.

AquaSimmer That's my point...The Sims' trailers used to feature simlish versions of popular songs, sang by the original artist such as "Smil" ("Smile" by Lily Allen) and the simlish version of Double Vision by 3oh!3 (which was new at that time).
It was so much cooler to see artists contribute to the Sims vibe. This just feels lazy and rushed, like every expansion pack for The Sims 4.

Thus far, Sims 4 has a good future in Game Packs and Expansions. The first time I saw this game, I said," Wow, this game sucks! Sims 3 is better in every way!"
I then realized where it shined. The SIMS. Emotions, multi-tasking, TONS of new skills, and other things I didn't mention. Sure, they got rid of open world, but it made the game much better in performance and allows for a higher focus on the characters.
Get to Work is one of the best expansions ever made in my opinion. It had qualities of Open for Buisness and Ambitions, while adding on with involved workplaces and even Outerspace!
Outdoor Retreat was a good idea! It utilized vacation elements, but not going overboard like in Island Paradise, just a simple campground with camp type activities and items. A good game pack, I think there should be another vacation game pack in the future with a similar idea of World Adventures and Island Paradise, but (as I said) not going overboard with quests and such.
The main problem I have with Sims 4 is the stuff packs. They are overpriced for what you recieve. I'm glad it's only $10, but there needs to be as much, or a little bit less than the amount in the Sims 3.
Another reason I like the Sims 4 is the lack of over-the-top ideas like Supernatural. It was an interesting idea, yes, but I feel as if it didn't belong in the game, but more as a spin-off like Medieval.
One thing they can improve on from previous packs would be Pets. In Sims 3, they were..... let's be honest.... underwhelming. Yeah, it's cool they can hunt and dig, but it kinda ends there. There should be more content to do with the pets, and make minor pets cooler and with more things to do.
An idea I'd love for a future expansion or game pack would be Battle of the Bands. It would include Marching, Jazz, Orchestra, Rock, and Concert bands. With of course most every type of instrument used in a band. The bands can be for colleges, high school, an independant, or a professional crew. I am in love with this idea, as I'm in band.
Overall, the Sims 4 is my favorite Sims game yet, and I'm getting more excited everyday for what this expansion will have to offer.

I am so glad I am finally giving this game another chance. After spending nearly 2 years playing and only preferring my Sims 3 game. Which I still in some ways still prefer Sims 3. I am finally back to playing this game now. Especially after figuring out today. Just how easy it is to make wallpaper for the game. Something I had always loved to do in Sims 1, 2, and 3. I just only wish they would bring toddlers, pets, weather, and the supernatural to the game. As well as the color wheel. Which is one of the things that made Sims 3 so great. But I can see why they didn't put one in Sims 4.

I just wish they showed more. When they gave the first trailer of Get to Work, it was just better, because it showed the potential of the expansion pack. I'm not, yet, seeing that with this one. Because what it looks like to me, and I've always supported sims 4, is that what they are showing, is about the same amount we got in Outdoors Retreat.
If this turns out to be just the beginning of what this expansion pack can be, then I'm all for it. But since I'm already not a big party fan, then they need more to get me interested. For example, the least I'm hoping for is that we'll get some more active careers.

- Pets (cats, dogs, farm animals, rodents, birds, wild animals and Zoos)
- Vacations (airplanes, helicopters, ships, cars, bikes, skateboards, scooters, other countries (without quests), with malls, hotels, motels, parks and sights)
- Youth (kindergartens, elementary schools, banquets, high schools, universites, proms (and you can see whats happening there) and getting drunk)
- Fame (actors/actresses (you can choose what kind of movies and shows you want to be in), singers, musicians, youtubers (and you can choose your username, logo and what your videos are about), being in talk shows, reality shows and models
- Sports (football, basketball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, baseball, competitions, matches)
- Seasons (all the months with the same lenght as in real life, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Easter, New Year's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day)
- Festivals ( there are: concerts (if you're a singer or musician, you can perform too), DJs, dancers, fast foods, alcohol, tents, pools and a lot of people)
- Other Stuff (different ages and not just babys, kids, teenagers etc.; girls getting periods (they go on the toilet without you making them); girls can get pregnant after their first period to their last one; pregnancy lasts for 9 months, gay people (and not because you made them gay, they were born like that); bisexuals; homophobic people; depressed people; alcoholic people; singing in front of the computer/laptop; diseases (asthma, autism, cancer, influenza, heart disease); accidents; breaking extremities, having bad teeth; having braces; having pimples; using perfume; crying because of arguments; crying because of bad grades; being a private student; having differents subjects and different grades for them)
