xGhostGaming Blood, death, and violence is essential to most stories involving vampires. So is sex, treachery, control, and power. Some of these will be easier of the sims 4 to accomplish (or have a cop out like referring to blood as plasma.) than other. Mainly that it's unlikely that they'll ever have mechanic where sims can directly kill another sim. Even if they add some mechanics to hunt vampires, it's unlikely they'll ever have a way to kill said vampire (like staking, etc.). It would probably result in the vampire getting a stern talking to by the hunter.
I really hope that they add features that are more mature for their aging player base. Possibly even making it an expansion. Possibly even having a mental state motive. This could open up a wide range of stories. Like (for example) a mentally scared combat veteran returning from war and coming to terms with the horrors they've seen. Possibly play a new job as a psychologist. It seems like most people who play the sims 4 (at least on KRplus) are old enough to remember the original Sims games.
I will say that this game pack is probably the most mature depiction of vampires that has been in a sims game. I'll probably get this and whatever preceding content I'm missing when I get a new computer. If this proves to be adequately deep, I hope the continue this trend to give the occults the love and attention that they deserve. (Instead of being tacked on to a larger project. Sorry Aliens.) It would be great if they expanded on Alien and Ghost gameplay.

Asks to be able to get to work with sims - gets that - says it isn't enough
Asks for a beautiful city with apartments - gets that - gets bored
Asks for content because they say they don't get out enough - gets that - says it was too much
Asks for an occult, like the fan-favourites vampires - gets trailer - complains that they should've been in an ep, EVEN without playing with them
Asks for restaurants - gets that - say they should have been in the get to work ep
Ask for pets - pretty sure they know that they are working on them with the hints - moans that they just want pets
Asks for toddlers - (eventually in the future ...) gets that - " We didn't want them like this!"
My opinion: Sims 4 and Sims 3 are two different games. They are not made to be exactly alike. Ea is trying to put the things that the community asks in other ways, trying to make it better ( with the budget they have) but not the same, and to put new things. If you want the things that are in the sims 3 in the sims 4, play the sims 3 or wait for them because those things take time, don't be angry because it isn't in the game NOW. I'm pretty sure the sims team worked really hard to make this pack, they aren't just playing around, and those comments that are like :" Still wainting for...", " They were on the ep", " they just want our money" may be your opinion, but try to be not rude and a little bit grateful. Sorry but that's how I think if you don't agree with me, you can comment it but BE RESPECTFUL!!!

Vampires is still one of my favorite game packs to this date, but I hope they really go all out with the Realm of Magic and add another dark world as Forgotten Hollow is too small.

I love how the trailer makes Caleb look so menacing, and then you get in game and he's a cinnamon roll who strives to be a good vampire and mingle with humans. Granted, I've played him as nice and evil. He makes a damn awesome evil vampy, but I still prefer leaving him nice (and getting him with my sim Jade in like...every save lol)

iScream Love and seeing as we're both kpop fans we know what complaining looks like xD srsly though no one is forcing anyone to buy it. I'm excited for anything they give us. I only have a few things cause I'm short on money but ts4 runs so well on my laptop and I really enjoy what I do have

The Sims community has been here for a looong time and alot of simmers have been here since the first game and have bought every base game,pack, and expansion loyally. Even if they are very pricey. I think people just expect it to either be a little less expensive or they could at least add more things to the base game and not force people to pay $20 or $40 for something that should've been in the base game in the first place (for example, toddler, seasons, and pets)

I feel you. Some people are just never happy. The attention to detail these expansions and game packs is amazing! Like, City Living was such an ambitious and amazing expansion pack, like the streets change ALL THE TIME and for some reason it sparked a shit load of controversy! Why can't people just be patient rather than bitch about their lack of seasons and pets? It's most likely on EA's to-do list anyway because they were clearly successful in the previous games.

Omg I played with my first toddler today and I was literally in tears everything is so well thought out and the animations are adorable. Thank you EA. Seriously though, they put up with people's temper tantrums and not only gave toddlers to us for free, they made them better than they have ever been, in my opinion. I love tots :)

On the one hand, I like the idea of expansions going deep rather than broad. On the other hand, the price tag this kind of expansion would put on getting every expansion I want... *shudders * Far more terrifying than any supernatural creature. I guess I'll sit the fence for a while longer and wait for them to release more stuff.

Not everything will go your way, and how about you be patient and stop whining about every single amazing pack, and enjoy them. We probably will get pets, toddlers, etc. but you kiddos need to be fucking patient for once, and everyones hateful comments about the packs hurts the sims team, and honestly lowers the chances of you getting your favorite pack. So how about for once we stop complaining, and respect the sims team? Plus, like youtuber LilSimsie said, these individual supernatural character packs could be good, since they could add more detail into it and make it a lot more smooth.

Sure this is more "content" in a sense, but it's still very limited. You could say that they could add more detail to pretty much anything they make into a game pack. They COULD still add more content in an expansion, but they choose not to. People are mad because the extra 10$ or 20$ bucks just isn't worth it for a 4 lot based platform.
I love vampires and Sims is what introduced me to them, but I can't enjoy this with all the money I'd be spending on every. single. expansion. Just like I've done with the previous ones.
Saga well, i can relate to you, since i'm just a band geek who makes $0's a day, and that i say "oh well there goes my wallet lmao" every 1-2 months a new pack comes out, but i don't think people should be angry at every single dang pack. there HAS to be atleast one pack someone likes, and not all the packs are sucky.

TMTiger Tbh I think that The Sims Community are just taking shit for granted. THEY wanted The Sims 4. THEY got it, and complained about how bad it was. THEY wanted more shit like toddlers and pets. THEY get toddlers and pools, etc... THEY complain about how the toddlers aren't good enough. Take shit for granted even though your paying for it. Buy it if you want to. Don't buy it. Simple (Pun intended) If you don't like the Sims 4. Go play some other Sim games. There are basically like 6 of them to my knowledge.

chocolatepuff718 OMFG shut up, i love city living and vampiers did not come with it so i am happy, also city living was ment to be something bright and happy, not scary like vampires. also if they added it with city living, it would not have as much detail in it (aka fights, hipnotising (idk how to spell) and the new world. so i am happy it is a game pack
At first, yea, i felt The Sims 4 was disappointing. With all the new expansions and free updates its by far the best Sims game in history. City Living was a step in the right direction and with the new free toddlers update its just awesome. The loading screens don't even bother me anymore due to the fact that there are no rabbit hole lots anymore and the game-play is so smooth and there's little to no glitching. Thank you EA :)
and the new vampires update is cheaper then the others or am I wrong? at least in my country it's 10€ cheaper than I expected.
i wouldn't say it's the best sims game but to me it's better than the sims 3 was when that game was only 2 years in

Vampires have always been released separately from other supernaturals.
Fairies, Werewolves, and all that jazz will be added in a full expansion in the future.
Well...most of the supernatural beings in the Sims 3 sucked. Werewolves were bad, as were zombies and faeries. Concentrating on just one, Vampires, is far better than giving us many inferior and rubbish supernatural beings.

The powers leveling up looks promising and fun! We just need more occult types now and the Sims 4 will finally give Sims 3 a run for its money - since game-play has been a bit underwhelming and gets dry fast, we need Werewolves, Witches, Mermaids, Fairies and Robots to keep things interesting!
