Any other mobs worth recommending? I've "played" (more like got bored after twenty minutes max) without mods so far and its... bad. So I'm hoping some mods might make this experience better.

20 years playing The Sims, and I have never wanted a pack less. The bar was so low, it was underground and yet, you still managed to get lower than that. I'd say it was impressive if it weren't so saddening and infuriating.

The worst thing about this is that EA will think "People doesnt likes star wars". Dude we like star wars (not disneywars) but nobody asked for this, just install sims2, that game is the most pure sims experience you will get probably in your entire life since I already lost hope in a new sims game that can get even close to what sims2 acomplished
Again I think Maxis studio is the one to blame because THEY are responsible for the sims franchise. EA does not handle packs ideas at all.

Simmers who don't like Star Wars won't enjoy this pack. Fans of Star Wars who don't like Sims won't enjoy this pack. The target audience of this pack is exclusively simmers who like star wars, and I don't believe that is a big enough audience to excuse the making of this pack when the Sims 4 still lacks MANY crucial gameplay elements

Nope. I like the Sims and I am a Star Wars fan big time! And I won’t be buying this. This doesn’t belong in the Sims Universe and if i want to play a Jedi i would buy Fallen Order.

I like both the Sims and Star Wars and I still will not be touching this pack with a 10 foot pole. This just doesn't feel like the Sims at all, it's one giant ad for Disney. If I really wanted to play a Star Wars game I'd buy one of the several that EA has already made.
@javiera silvameza The problem is how this is a life simulation game and we got star wars. The problem is we have been asking for more diverse skin tones but instead, we get star wars. We have asked for babies that aren't objects and cars. Even for the sims to have an actual personality but we got star wars. The problem is in a poll star wars came dead last. When we say no one wanted this we don't mean no one we just mean the majority of people don't because it doesn't fit into the gameplay. And I'm really happy you like it and I hope you enjoy the pack but the gameplay and animations are all recycled (sword fight from get famous is now the lightsaber fight, the Salvatorian treasure chests into space chests, ect.) and basically a copy of stangerville with a new title.
I just found out someone in the development team came out with the idea for this game pack and pushed forward with it. This isn’t the result of brand deal at all. Clearly, they didn’t do their marketing research right.

Dear EA, Stop being a garbage developer. You cannot strip a well loved game of all its content just to sell it back to the consumer at a premium. There are several NEWER and BETTER simulation lifestyle games coming out soon and if you don't want this franchise to die like Maxis you might wanna listen to the people who buy your crap. The sims has been in decline for so long and it breaks my heart to see such a well loved game become so devoid of gameplay for the sake of profit.

I'm already too far down the hole to not get stuff when it's on sale, and there's so much potential, but TS4 is pretty much a hodgepodge trash heap. All this stuff they release should have been done in fewer packs years ago and they should have moved onto a new Sims by last year latest. Ugh, we're stuck with them ringing every last cent out of TS4 and making it less and less likely there will be a Sims 5 to redeem it.
I don’t understand. If the amazing people who make cc and mods are able to make thousands of skin tones, bunk beds, story progression etc from their home why can’t EA/Maxis do the same 😬 I miss the old Sims. Bring back Will Wright the original creator of Sims 😭
They've already admitted they rely on modders to fix lacking parts in the game. Go watch Simguru Lyndsay's video on Twitter about skin tones.
They do, but people don't expect the same level of quality from modders and The Sims. Mods can have clunky animations, few bugs, and other and people will rightfully overlook because is a free mod. People aren't nearly as forgiving with The Sims Team, which means they can't ship a bunk bed with a weird animation that is not smoothed out or people will crush them like they always do

Black simmers want to be able to make themselves, and characters that look like them. we can’t accurately represent ourselves if the skin colors we get aren’t accurate.
try downloading cc there are a lot better options for skin tones instead of just the base tones.
Most of the building aren’t interactive. The “aliens” are just other sims in mask. There are no new traits. Who thought it would be a good idea. Just fix the babies!!! How hard can that be!
They just announced their next expansion pack wont have updated babies, cars, bunk beds or farms. Well done EA you really know how to "listen" to the fans. 6 years on and the game still lacks major content from past titles

Well we sure hope so.
I wish, but also remember they're a small indie game with very few ppl. It's however very interesting to see how much they're able to do still vs how much a multi billion dollar company like EA allows their devs to do. Also from what I've heard Paralives won't have the same greedy monetisazion as TS4. And their communication with fans.
I personally like Paralives team approach to things: they constantly listen to feedbacks and try to develop some of them in the game. This is something EA proved they are not intentioned to do, at least until the moment and indie team REALLY will steal them some public.
Who knows, maybe this indie team is really about to, if not end, stop this big EA team whole career.
I hope they allow pre-orders before EA hypes the community again with the next Sims game.

100% agree, my Sims 4 mods folder is 10GBs (though that also includes CC) and I literally wouldn't be able to play Sims 4 unmodded. I've gone back to Sims 3 for now, but I absolutely commend the Sims 4 modding community as my interest would not have been kept anywhere near as long without them.
Modders are carrying this game 100%

You guys, I feel like EA had given up on their own game. They know that Paralives will destroy them upon release, and all they are trying to do right now is to get as much money as possible with minimal effort put in
It’s amazing that every time I think they can’t flop any harder, they somehow outdo themselves and disappoint everyone even more.
The sims team and EA don’t care about me or you, or our opinions, or what we think can make the game better as a whole for the community. They just want their wallet and pockets full of that chedda.
Basically what I got:
1. Meet and interact with new aliens
2. Finish quests
3. Collect rare items
4. Do poker and drink alien juice (probably) in the bar
5. Decorating your willow creek house with the new builds and items
6. Spaceship go woosh but I think it’s just a decor with no playability
7. Saberlight go brr

I'm currently working my way through RDR2 and oh my god.... The sims would be a better place if Rockstar took over, agreed. They would show EA how to make a proper game thats actually INTERESTING even after you play it for the hundredth time.

Sims 3 is better as it’s half of the price for all expansions and stuff packs around £341.81 (Translate it to dollars) and when a big steam sale comes it’s gonna be low and enough to buy most of the packs. Sims 4 on the other hand during a sale it would still cost a lot. (Side note: Void island paradise)

Tea Anyone? Facts I haven’t bought a sims 4 pack since the strangerville pack and that was also a disappointment like it’s hardly any gameplay you can get out of the game unless your doing challenges or something unlike the sims 2 and sims 3 where you can play for hours just doing regular stuff

I thought that having cars/vehicles, more interesting dialogue that can be affected by a sim's relationship, babies that don't act like objects, more diverse and fun traits that make sims unique, fantasy/medieval time periods, darker skin tones that don't look pixeled and non-textured, bigger consequences to negative actions, and just more interesting and fun gameplay.

I don’t know about y’all but why doesn’t it seem like the sims has turned into a childish game? The trailers lately feel as if they’re marketing towards children/pre-teens? The sims 1-3 felt more appealing towards all age ranges. The sims 4 just feels Half-baked, bug filled, neglected, and childish.
Yes! This was exactly my first thought after watching it. It's really hard for me as an adult to get through this trailer because of the voiceover that is clearly aimed to children. It's the tone of toys commercials. Compared to, for example, The Sims 2 trailer (which wasn't very faithful to the gamplay itself but I'm talking about the general tone of it) it's just so different. I think The Sims 4 at this point is aimed for kids and not people who grew up with the frenchise. Which makes sense, sure you need new audience. But still... sad.

I’m 17 but even I wouldn’t buy this crap. It’s a pack that no one asked for and would be played once then never again. The world has no actual “houses” or buildings you can edit from what I’ve seen. The people I’ve seen play this pack said the house you stay in is a rabbit hole, the spaceship in the pack (I was curious about it quite honestly. I was thinking maybe we’d get to fly it but I was wrong) is like the rocket ships in the sense that it goes into the sky and comes back, the items aren’t really practical, and the tasks were apparently boring.

I just don't understand why they are trying so hard to advertise the sims 4 towards children.. I don't know ANY children who play the sims I don't even know if some children actually know that the sims exists and what it is. Also NEVER heard a child taking about the sims yet.

the youngest people i know of that play the sims are 14 year olds... me being one... me and ONE of my friends play the sims but other than that i don't think anyone under the age of 14 plays it...

I'm 11 and I play it, but like seriously, the game itself is recommended 13+ right? So why are they acting like the sims is played mainly by five year olds? It's honestly very frustrating to see that EA are crashing the sims into the pile of crap known as 'Using Disney for money'. We deserve for more effort to be put into the sims, because right now, I think we can all agree, It's failing us.
When you’ve got so little new gameplay options in your new game pack that you end up spending over 1/3 of the entire “gameplay trailer” showing off base game animations... and then you continue on to show recycled animations from previous game packs, only slightly edited to work with new meshes.
A+ job, EA.

im sorry EA but this just proves how much ideas your lacking, heck even sims 1 had much better packs yet they came with so much less stuff,.
here are some thing that I would PERSONALLY like to see in the sims 4...
-height adjustments
-BRIGHT PURPLE HAIR!!
-more diverse hair colour swatches, especially in brown because its severely lacking
-PILLOWS/CUSHIONS that can be ADDED onto your sofa because most sofas look so plain and unrealistic
-Heterochromia
-Birthmarks and body freckles
-Body hair
-A clean up on some of the base game hairs with patchy and questionable textures
-Change in the formatting of some of the base game pants into high waisted instead of them sitting at awkward positions and stretching your sims belly buttons
-spiral stairs
-A family themed expansion pack (kind of like parenthood but bigger and better or like generations from ts3) with features such as:
-bunk beds
-INTERACTIVE BABIES WITH PRAMS/STROLLERS
-an interactive sport for children like gymnastics, baseball etc.
-Bikes, scooters or tricycles for kids
-trampolines?
-daycare/interactive baby sitter career (like in sims 3)
-MOST IMPORTANTLY i would LOVE to see a piggy bank feature where a sim can save their own personal money through an assigned money box/piggy bank that is an object in their room which they can take those funds when they decide to leave home or buy a house, this could even be used with roommates in your household to separate the funds
these are just a few of the things...
I agree on the colors..a color wheel would give us all skin, hair and eye shades

EA should just give you a job and let you pick packs because you described the perfect "parenthood" pack, and a major overhaul to CAS. Also the pillows is brilliant, I could never figure out what was missing from the couches and now I know!!!!!

EA trying to cover the intensely negative response to this with a re-upload of the trailer hunh?
Here's the thing: Digital Spy put out a poll, EA could have put one out or simply read that poll for free - the poll asked simmers to vote on expansion pack content they'd like to see, with 21 options to choose from. Star Wars came in LITERALLY LAST.
Even the veganism expansion option beat Star Wars! Schools, Farms, Horses, Hotels, these were things near the top of the poll.
The reason hotels and schools were at the top and Star Wars was at the bottom, is because the whole point of the Sims is to SIMULATE some version of REALITY and give players both control and immersion in a private fantasy remake of real life
Lots of people have looked at the real ocean and thought "I wonder if mermaids are real"
Nobody has looked at the real night sky and thought "I wonder if Count Dooku is real"
I love vampires but would have been upset if the Sims vampires were literally the Anne Rice vampires, and Lestat was wandering my neighborhoods. I love Hogwarts and I love the sims magic pack, but I would have been very disappointed if it was literal Harry Potter characters instead of a base set of magic game reality pieces I can use to create my own universe.
I don't want concrete pre-existing universes tacked on to my sims games anymore than I want Pokemon wandering around my Star Wars games. I would have loved if they had expanded on their original space content and given us a playable neighborhood on the existing sims alien world Sixam, something many of us have said we want. I've been a huge fan of Star Wars since forever, but I am using the Sims universe to build my own private reality, not join pre-made universes. Which EA could easily have known by actually listening to their demographic??
If I wanted a Star Wars game, I'd buy one, and I guarantee the action sequences and fight mechanics would be better than whatever the sims is going to give us, because the sims is not an adventure game. This is a community that really really wanted.... to be able to do laundry in game. We were excited to do l a u n d r y. THAT's the core fan base here, y'know?
Which is why this is such a weird move, because they either don't understand the appeal of their own game, or they're purposefully ignoring their most loyal demographic. I mean, I just won't buy the expansion, I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but

Bruh they gave us the knitting pack and eco lifestyle. Everyone liked that mainly because it's what we all asked for, but I believe that the sims 4 wants to draw in new players and since people are looking for more nostalgic things (cuz' ms roan) they decided to opt with this. I'd much rather them fix skin tones, but this pack isn't bad because of that.

ts4 Parenthood is just a fraction of what ts3 Generations was and I want more...
- I want complex and realistic gameplay in my family functions
- I want my family tree to show cousins, aunties and uncles up to second cousins
- Extended family gatherings and holidays
- A separate family tab, so you can awkwardly invite estranged aunties and uncles to your wedding without having to build a strong relationship with them first (if you can actually find them in world)
- MEETING THE IN-LAWS
- Miscarriages?
- Funerals and Wakes
- The term “Brother/Sister in law”
- The term “Half Brother/Sister” (Even if they are not in your household, grown adults can get half siblings too)

we also need step father/mother and a step sister/brother relationships and also a way for lgbt sims to have more options for having kids besides adoption why isn’t surrogacy and sperm donation a thing in the game. its 2020 there should be more ways for lgbt sims to have families.
I wish my sims could go to their grandparents/relatives house and be able to sleep there, you know better visiting options they always get kicked out for showering or things like that. Also once two sims get divorced nothing happens they have tl improve divorces too

The issue wasn't realism as much as balancing complexity of gameplay and how the game feels if you want realistic gameplay. The game engine supports controlling pets and the playable pets mod re-enables this behavior.
And now KRplus doesnt show tons of dislikes at all
