At this rate sims 5 is just going to be a chair and we’re going to have to buy expansions to get any form of actual content, but most of the expansions will be “the sims 5: bird watching” and “the sims 5: seasonal depression (only works with the sims 5 seasons pack which only has summer and winter for some reason)”

I wanna go back in time to the sims 2 when every new expansion pack felt like christmas
The Sims 2 _expansion_ packs were way better. But the stuff packs were $20 instead of $10, and all they had were clothes and furniture with no extra gameplay. The only one I ever bought was Glamour Life (because I really wanted those long PJs) and I still kind of have buyer's remorse over it because that was a lot of money just to get a single mesh.

I wouldn't think it would be difficult to do both. I mean they could create the same things. But, it's what we can expect from EA. Once this series is over, I might be done with the Sims. Now, if they can mesh Sims 2 with Sims 4, and not start out from nothing, I'll buy it and stay a customer (I've been loyal since 2001). If it starts from nothing, Paralives, here I come.

Yeah when I saw this come out. I'm like I can't wait for the We didn't ask for this comments. Fallowed by it's to much, why isn't this free blah blah blah. Like really people, do you live in a hole n never go anywhere, the only thing u know is Sims. FYI I fig out last year if you bought all packs not on sale u spent $130 for 5packs. I spent over $400 on Legos, n over $300 on books just last year. Also I'm like When do the new Harry Potter legos come out in the states. Witch are alot more the the Maby 5sims pack we met get this year. N my kids already looking at all the Lego Friends sets, plus Toca Life. N my Teen wants more money for Minecraft/Road blocks.

I think everyone voted for arts and crafts expecting a cool hobby pack. Obviously we trusted EA too much and they whittled it down to this..
Not to go all EA bad on ya, but this could’ve been a free update, a $2 thing that you could buy along with other packs, or apart if a game pack or expansion, instead of $10 for just KNITTING? Features don’t always have to have a price tag. That reminds me of how EA never started up the Sims 4 store with sims points and stuff, If they like to focus packs around one thing they why don’t they sell them along with community stuff on a Sims 4 store similar to the ones we had with the Sims 3 and Sims 2? I do like the idea behind it and I know $10 isn’t a lot but they done this with other packs and they could’ve done this stuff another way.

Cosmo What about before Covid? It still feels like they release packs with barely enough content worth a purchase. I never said they weren’t a hard working team and I have bought the packs that I enjoy. What I mean is that recently their packs have been lack luster
fleur. Yeah I personally voted for Happy Haunts, but if knitting is your thing then by all means enjoy the pack. I just wanted fun activities and to me knitting isn’t fun in real life so why would I want to simulate it in a game? Sweaters be itchy, my guy.

@@kosmo4917 Do you realise TS4 has been around for 5 years (about 4+ years prior the Covid outbreak) and they are releasing a bunch of crappy EP's and Stuff Packs since then? And no, there is no relation whatsoever on TS3 and 4 packs being harder or easier to develop - it's about content my dude. My guess is that you never played TS1 or TS2, barely even 3 - go play a little, you'll enjoy it, I promise.

Tbh I think that the elders have a lot to do in game already. The problem is how well family interactions are incorporated. Elders can do lots of stuff, but can they do stuff for their children and grandchildren, with their children and grandchildren?
Gardening, flower arranging, piano, painting etc; my elders are very occupied. The problem is that they feel like elders but don't feel like grandparents.

Thing we need and want:
- better sibling relationship ( actually arguing with your sibling, sharing, playing with them, fighting, giving advices, discuss boy drama, steal each others stuff and babysit if your sibling is younger)
- better babies
-school gameplay (actually going to school, making projects for a talent show, getting a detention and getting in trouble, studying, sneaking out from class...)
- more animals, farms ( farm animals, unique animals, unusal animals)
- vacations ( packing a suitcase going to the airport and getting on a dream vacation in New York, Paris, London and much more...)
- teen drama ( teens don't have any gameplay, they are just adults that can't start a family yet, we need teen drama like getting excited about a boy and crying over him, having a crush, picking a prom dress for a prom that you are going to with a guy who asked you out in school, dances, selfies, concerts, sneaking out, joining a gang with the bad squad...)
- better elders ( walkers, nursing homes for older ppl, golf, doctor appointments, babysitting their grandchildren and being included in their events and lifes-like parents should be)
- more personality ( being sad and dramatic after a breakup, sassy behavior, feeling happy after getting something you wanted, being selfish, being caring, really liking little kids and babysitting them)
- more traits ( kid lover, bad girl/boy, gang leader, sassy queen/king, caring, selfish, internet addicted, maybe sime sims can have health issues they can't see, hear, sniff, walk, talk...)
- unexpected events (being asked to a dance, aliens knocking on your door, principal wanting to have a talk about their children, scouts selling cookies...)
- more events ( dances, graduation party, prom, toddler playdates, school moms meetings, children's ballet shows, sport compatitions, school project show off, sleepovers...)
- more creatures ( imaginary friends, elfs, fairies, princesses, living statues, butterflies...)
- cars that sims can actually drive
- activities for children ( something fun to do after school, like ballet, karate, football, baseball, gymnastics, selling cookies...)
- more romantic gameplay ( it's always the same, find a random sim in the park, speed everything up to get married and start a family since there are no couple activities at all, sims age too soon and while expanding your couple relationship they get too old for everything, that's why having a teen relationship would help)
- more characters that are not included in our households and families (postman bringing you mail, scouts selling cookies, inspectors, children randomly. knocking on your door...)
- more open worlds
- sims need to age slower, adults can't be a couple without speeding their relationship up bc they get too old to start a family and have kids, grandparents can't see their children grow up bc they die too soon, toddlers are the only generation that's alright and doesn't need to change and toddlers age up the fastest
theres hella mods for that, plus just change the lifespan.. lmao

It's so disappointing to see how crap the content has been for Sims 4 lately. I miss playing Sims 2 & 3. I want a medieval pack, an actual supernatural pack, cars/motorbikes, and a proper generational game (and so much more omfg)! Would also love it if, for once, we can play without glitches! The number of times I have had to begin a game just to exit minutes later due to frozen sims, disappearing objects/pets, etc are too many to count.
As consumers, we definitely deserve more than what we are getting. I had more fun playing the older Sims games when I was younger, now it weirdly feels like a chore... and not a fun one. EA needs to do better ASAP because it's surprising that Sims has been around for 20 years and still fails to deliver simple features that could make a difference.

I'm utterly disappointed at how EA keeps ignoring the fact that the gameplay is, as it is, completely devoid of character. I mean, yeah, the game is pretty and we have optimized graphics, but I can't really play many hours straight as I did in previous games without getting ultra bored.
I guess it'd be too much work to change the entire game mechanics, so they just keep creating new packs hoping players won't complain much. At least I hope when (and if) Sims 5 comes in a few years it'll be more about the simulation and game mechanics than a bunch of nice looking packs. They already have what it takes to make the game look pretty, so they just need to work on making it fun to play again. Whims and memories and consequences would be a nice touch.
Check out Paralives. It's an upcoming simulation game that looks like it will have personalities for your characters and the building/customization already looks 10 times better than the sims.

And I don't mean aspirations. Btw, even the aspirations are lame. I remember when you couldn't change life aspirations until you've completed them or paid a whole bunch of points to change it.

there are some very powerfull mods out there to instill in those wooden nothings of TS4-sims some personality, behaviour, interaction one would expect from a human
the foundation of this game, the base game itself is meantime the weakest part of it
without modding the heck out of it nobody would care anymore for this or any other of the gazillion of packs available
my mods folder has meantime 1500 files in it

I'm switching to paralives once it releases tbh. It looks like it has a lot of potential and has a lot of things that Sims 4 doesn't. It seems to me like Paralives actually listens to the audience and the players while Sims 4 keeps making me buy more and more packs to HOPEFULLY make the game better and more fun but most of the time, it doesn't.

These new packs however are the definition of trash. So just calm down, take a deep breath and dislike the new videos, help spread the word to not buy the new products and sooner or later the company will learn, and if not? then find a new game or make your own.

What you don’t understand is that the manipulated us, initially they brought up the craft pack idea that’s what we wanted, a variety of crafting activities apart from knitting. But it’s like they took what we voted for and decided to give us just a fraction of what we asked for.

Of course correct anything I get wrong here as like I said I haven’t played it but you literally just watch you sim back out of the car to get to work, drive off a little and then they’re at work and for the rest of the time a car is basically just there for show. It seems kinda pointless to have cars yet so many people seem to want them, why? The sims 4 will most likely never be open world so what’s the point? @@edgyemoturtle6983 cars add realism especially for storytelling. There was something really satisfying about seeing your sim get in their car, reverse onto the road and then drive off. Also, you could listen to music and woohoo on the cars in the sims 2. They were fantastic. Sigh.

Wolfan Terror in sims 2 you could carry them around, play with them, and show them to other sims while holding them in your arms. You could also change them on a diaper changing table.

- Slider skin-tone
- Add more traits
- Add more trait slots, even if adding 2 I would be happy.
- More aspirations that will target for a life goal not a guide in the game. If you have Strangerville or Island Living you’ll know what I mean.
- Integrate babies in the age panel. (Just so I could put them into different outfits)
- Paint mode for a Sim, (which will also apply to Occult Sims) this will also result in removing the Tattoo panel on the body section and will instead be replaced by “Paint Mode”. Paint Mode can also be used to represent those with skin conditions. Additionally, you can then paint the tattoo wherever you want in your sims’ body.
- A height slider
- An on and off switch for body/face symmetry. Again, I wanted those with disabilities to be able to create themselves in the game.
- Instead of having swatches for the hair, I’d love it if it was more of like the color customization for coating in Cats and Dogs. As same for eyebrows.
- More unique eye colors for the normal sims.
Build/Buy Mode
- Cars, even if they are not functional. I just want properly modeled cars, not those sized up toy cars or the ones in the Live Edit Objects catalog.
- Being able to customize the light intensity and color right into Build/Buy Mode.
- Being able to change the ceiling texture, and adding in a new floor type named "Ceiling", although all flooring is applicable.
- Minor detail but instead of clicking for different wall heights I'd also like it if it was just an arrow up on the top of the wall which you can drag to change the wall height, kinda just like for the columns.
- Being able to connect a wall to a different foundation height.
- Curved walls, the inspiration for this would be that the walls will be placed like those curved fences, and there would be a new section for its own windows.
Gameplay/Features
- Totally revamping the aspiration system in the game since some KRplus simmers might say that aspirations are more of a guide for the pack rather than being a life goal.
- More emotions.
having a third gender option would also be nice
YES PLEASE MORE ASPIRATIONS AND TRAITS, also more or slider hair colors would be nice
