Okay and? who said I only pay that? I run the sims 3 with multiple expansion packs and downloads and it runs just fine. I have rollercoaster tycoon 3 on there and it runs fine.

WOW..........that death may be in my top 5 of all the games in the franchise. It's so morbid and realistic. Almost creepy how their bodies are just floating in the water. Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Also, just great job in general. I don't know why people are worried other features. The Sims Team has proven that they are listening and trying their best. They have worked pretty fast getting both ghosts and pools to us FOR FREE! Also, I'm assured they will have some interesting expansions/content coming in the future. I'm one of those people that will criticize EA when they have messed up but, there's nothing to criticize here. It's a great job well done. Also, if you can make partial above ground pools if you raise the foundation height. That's sweet for me because I do have an above ground. I wouldn't worry too much about "pool objects" like the diving board. They'll come in a family or tropical expansion maybe even seasonal.
I think they are more busy getting all the stuff from other game into the game first before they work on expansion

Remember when Sims 3 first came out, everyone hated it for ages because it wasn't as good as Sims 2. Now you're all complaining Sims 4 isn't as great as the Sims 3. Make up your mind, people. XD
Honestly Sims 2 is better than this game. Sure this game has some nice new features, however it doesnt have the features that previous iterations had in THE BASE GAME even. Sequels should always include what the previous games had in their gameplay. I love the new create a sim features, yet it loses some creativity with no "create a style". I love the new building features, yet, it falls short with barely any space in your lot, along with no basements. I wanted to FINALLY build my actual house in the Sims 4 and I tried my absolute hardest (like putting the basement up a level, and tried making things a bit smaller if they didnt fit) and it just didnt work because of the lack of space... Sims 3 and 2 had the space..... Yet they didnt have the right tools...

There are still plenty of problems with the game that should be in the base game without updates. Typically, sequels have all if not most of the gameplay from the previous games... For Sims 4 EA said "fuck that, we're going to make it have some cool innovative features and remove lots of things from the game so we can make people pay money for it later..." Well, plenty of people got mad so they gave us some things for free, but why didnt they just do it for free in the first place? because EA likes making cheap money

My update is currently happening, so pumped for this! I love how you added the classic "surrounding the pools with walls to kill the sims you always hated but never knew what to to with" death to the trailer, let's admit it, this is how we all killed them, this is my favorite death in the history of Sims to be honest. Unwanted sims in the household were coming to get ya!

My guess for toddlers is late spring, early summer. Mostly because it's a lot of extra programming and code to do. Not to mention theres probably some changes to be made with the engine.

They've probably DLC'd pools because it was taking too long to make and the release date for the game was fast approaching.

Okay, I've been playing sims since i was 6 and now I'm 19 years old, as you may guessed I've played ALL of the Sims series from 1 - 3 complete with their expansions. My favourite so far is sims 3, since all the expansions are what I've always wanted for my sims (well except for the Katy Perry one). When I saw the first trailer of sims 4, I was a little disappointed with the cartoony appearance of the sims, but as I've watched other youtubers played it, I started to like the new sims designs. And then, I was shocked to find out that they did not include swimming pools in this game, swimming pools are supposed to be a staple in each of the sims base game, and i was worried that EA might force us to pay for swimming pools upgrade. Luckily they heard our complaints and finally gave us swimming pools. HOWEVER, I'm still a little bit cautious since I've always heard about the complaints for loading screens and NO TODDLERS what?! SEriously, what I love about sims 3 is that our sims could be actual parents to their child by teaching them how to walk, talk and even potty trained in real life! And no cars too?! it's almost like EA went backwards and delete all the good stuff and gave us loading screens... EA, The Sims was my childhood and still IS my favourite game of all time, I still have faith in you, do not disappoint us. In the mean time I'll be playing Sims 3 until I'm convinced enough that Sims 4 is worthy for 60 bucks. Don't get me wrong, I think Sims 4 is great, with the awesome multitasking features and building designs, i think they're great improvement as well as the get to work expansion pack - they're all look awesome, BUT I think I'll wait a little longer to see more improvements, which I believe they will give us soon :)
MyTeenLifeLoLTV Same here! I've been playing the game since it's started but although there are so many dislikes fo TS3 I do prefer it for now over TS4, maybe in the future when all expansions are out for TS4 it will be the best to date.
I'm starting to consider buying it now. The news about no pools wasn't so devastating to me, but these pools look amazing!

Hmm? I didn't know toddlers were coming. Thanks for the info. :) why don't the sims fans get that the people working behind this are humans, not butler-robots that have to bend to all your will. Things like this take lots of time. They have to make a new tab for swimming suits, make the swimming suits, the pools, graphics for the pools designs actions for the sims to well ya'll know we're I'm going with this. It all takes time, just be more patient. Would you rather not even have the game, or a computer. Or even a house. Seems to me like they're acting like the age that's missing from the game.

It reminds me of that show ("Tanked" I think it's called?) where they make these tricked out aquariums inside tables and columns and stuff. Maybe they meant that it wasn't technically possible to make functional pools with that level of customization in time for the game's initial launch. It looks like it was well worth the wait though!

I love that we can now build pools on upper floors, the windows kinda make it look like an aquarium, looks really nice :D and of course, you had to include the classic "drowning in the pool" XD oh no, I'm dead, well, better keep partying XD but I'm worried about that little girl, either she was really distracted and failed to notice the Reaper, or she didn't care O.o

Everyone always wants more out of this game. Everyone is like: ''ERMAHGERD GIMME TAWDLORZ I WUNNA TAKE CARE OF A MOAR GREWN UP VERZION OF MA BABAY, GAWSH''. Guys, shut up. The game is like really addicting despite the differences, TRUST ME, it is a lot of fun. I've been playing it non-stop and the missing toddlers have not been bothering at all! It's not easy to be constantly updating a game and working on it so give the developers a brake and stop asking for open worlds, bla bla bla or whatever the heck you want because it's not easy! The game is already extremely enjoyable without any expansion packs. I mean, you can like get a mall from the community and stuff or get other cool builds for you to hang at. This game is sooooo good and you guys are being fools by not seeing past what it doesn't have.
+Mecha Mary ooo stop it you :) you're making EA Games jizz :))) this game is shit compared to sims 3 and even sims 2 from a bunch of stand points : Graphics (you can debate the artistic view BUT NOT THE FUCKING PERFORMANCE ) lemme explain. When this game loads in 5 minutes on your potato laptop is fine ..but when i take 5 minutes to load , on a fucking SSD and 16 GB of HyperX RAM then we got a performance problem. 2nd : No open world and in-game trailers to this day continue to hide them when presenting new EPs making them have an illusion of flawless transition. 3rd : the amount of content wich wasn't available at release isn't acceptable because it's not Sims 1 ..it is Sims 4 and people buy it with expectation raised from the older fucking titles...But then again .. i guess you're free to like every crap EA throws at you . good thing you exist .. EA needs idiots like you.
_sSs_Andreii Let me explain, this game came out 1 year and a few months ago. The Sims 3 came out 6 years and a few months ago. The Sims 2 came out 11 years and a few months ago. Big difference. Give them time. Besides, not like we can actually argue about this, now that I realize it. People have opinions. I like the sims 4, you don't. It's as simple as that.

And there are the toddlers. So pools were added, then 260 new items, two mods, a lot ambiance, teeth modifier, better eye, 8 new skin tones. The new hair will in by next and pets are coming. Looks like to me the franchise is alive and kicking. Let face facts they pork barrel you trolls. I love the fact that EA turn the tables.
