The best thing about YiSeo's feelings for Saeroyi is the fact that she didn't sit around and wait for him to achieve his dreams; she literally was the foundation for his success. Let's not lie to ourselves, without her, he wouldn't have been able to do so much and get so far. She was his lucky charm. I related to Sooah because I also like to put myself first in everything, but if I had a love rival like YiSeo, I would have proclaimed my defeat long before she did. YiSeo didn't wait around like Sooah for saeroyi's greatness, she gave it to him.
She is the ultimate boss 100%. And whats crazy is that she never claims a feminist, complains about gender related stuff nor ever demands for equality like the typical feminazis you see today. She works hard and smart, making her a total badass

@Joan I think the show did it realistically. Sooah didn't have a choice but to live her life the way she did. Saeroyi left for 7 years to do his own thing and she had to live on, she didn't have anyone else in life. And when he came back she was 30 and well settled in her life, she couldn't leave it all for someone who is unsettled and just starting out. It was easier for YiSeo because she was 19 and had time to start out. That being said Sooah could have joined him when she saw him doing well but for some reason she still chose to work with the enemy lol
that is exactly whats wrong with this drama. instead of developing psj's character as a super smart entrepreneur, they made yi seo to be the main reason for success. which made the 'revenge' feel less satisfactory. and it made their love team feel forced. besides, every thing yiseo did for saeroyi, soo ah could've done better- it's just that she needed to stay with the enemy to bring them down eventually.

She didn't really intend to help him it was because the risk wasn't as much and the situation was (Jangga was already on its way to going downhill) like that that she finally jumped ship. The nail in the coffin was her pride getting hurt when heard the chairman didn't really value her. That was the reason she did it, not for Park Saeroyi but herself

Yiseo's love for Saeroyi is probably the purest love i've seen in Kdrama. When Saeroyi said that "love is not a give and take" she swallows that and stand by it until the very end. All she ever wanted was for him to see her as something more and for him to be happy, never in a slightest moment she wants him to return what she ever sacrificed for him and his dreams.
The purest and the kindest love. Truly mesmerizing.

Huhu when Sae ro yi realizes that he loves Yiseo and he regret that day a lot when Siyeo confesses to him about her feelings and he rejected her, I cried :(
When he told her to not do that to him like doing and saying things that she loved him, I feel terribly hurt for her. It has been many years since the first moment she realized her heart belonged to him. And when she accidentally met him and Soo ah in the coffee, her eyes could tell that she was hurt as hell. I just want to see them as a couple asap, they are meant for each other ~
Like for real though it takes her LOT of patience and bravery to keep her one - sided love for such a long time, not to mention all the hardships she has had to go through in this relationship. I adore her so much and really think that if after all of this Ro Yi still isn't with Yi Seo in the end, I would die of feeling sad for her character.

Ever since that night when she confessed for the first time only to get flat out rejected, I realized that since then Yi Seo lost her natural confidence towards Saeroyi and never got it back. That's so sad, because this means that what she said to Hyun Yi in the hospital is true-she's always *earning* her existence in his life. Before Saeroyi knew that she loved him, that was never the case. She entered his pub as a confident, self-made woman who knows that she can be a great manager with just minimal effort.
*She* *knows* *that* *he* *needs* *her,* *not* *the* *other* *way* *around.*
For the first months, she thought that the job was not as important as her well-being, and it's obvious because she tends to go on walks or a vacation when she feels stressed about her work. She was once only interested on knowing Saeroyi, and later on figured out that knowing the work on the pub is equivalent to knowing him, which then made her start exerting more effort on the pub as much as she's curious about him. It was fruitful, since she eventually knew his life story that she's so interested on because she worked at her best. With that knowledge, she slowly realized that her attraction towards him is starting to lose its brakes, especially when it moved her so much to the point that it made her cry in his thighs as she held on to his scarred arms.
*Since* *then,* *she* *knew* *that* *she* *will* *be* *anything* *and* *anyone* *that* *this* *man* *needs,* *not* *the* *other* *way* *around.*
Maybe this is the reason why Saeroyi rejecting her really packed a punch, you know? Because even if she didn't exactly ask for anything in return, it wouldn't change the fact that Jo Yi Seo worked hard for his dreams as much as he did for himself. She didn't even do it because she wanted him to like her back-in the end, what she just wanted is for him to change his perspective about her. She just wanted to be seen as someone who can be more than just a manager, a sister, a partner, and a friend.
Yet even after all of that hard work, a single rejection from him made her feel so *disposable* and *temporary* in his life, as if she's so easy to let go of if she's anything but competent. That's why for the next four years, she never stopped working. That's why four years after, we could see her burning out.
She could only go for so long. When an overqualified person constantly makes herself overqualified, it only takes awhile before she crumbles. If by then Saeroyi still chooses to not catch her, who will save her from the fall?

Actually there was no need of the romantic chemistry between them. That would make it obvious for the audience that they will end up together. It was intentional to keep it a mystery. Till the ending episodes everyone thought he would go to soahh ... :)

I love how she is also his best friend. She is the person he goes to with questions, which is why he asks her why he is so confused. He feels comfortable enough revealing these intimate feelings with her because he knows he is safe. It’s so beautiful to see him trying so hard to figure it out. I think it’s also reveals how long he has been feeling this way about her. Both of them just never talk about it because of the duration of the time they have spent together. YiSeo is an amazing character, she came to love a man who was an ex convict, still struggling financially, did not have a college degree, he's not an ideal man for any girl who's materialistic like her mother and Soah..I remember when Soah told YiSeo that she doesn't know SaeRoYi, and she answered that she knows he's an ex convict and that makes him more attractive to her, that already made me judge Soah that she's embarrassed at SaeRoYi's background...Soah never cared or love SaeRoYi , while YiSeo saw SaeRoYi's inner strength( his goodness, his strong moral integrity) that was what fascinated her at first until that curiosity turns to love as she declared when she cried while resting her head at SaeRoYi's lap( I cried with her on that particular scene)...so yeah..YiSeo proved her love to SaeRoYi by helping him became the man he is now..a rich man...so yeah..what an amazing character YiSeo is, who wouldn't be in love with her..glad that finally before it was to late, SaeRoYi realizes that..I'm now looking forward for the culmination of this love story...just saying.

Of all the kdrama’s I’ve watched and fantasised, yi seo and se ro yi are my favourite couple because the love for each other is seriously so pure and is as well as deep. I mean the scene where she looks at his scars and cry. I cried too. I don’t know why. The way she actually wants to make his life amazing is something really so so pure and really romantic. Not all the love is about dating, being clingy and touchy and stuff. Love is when you are really there for someone in the hardest times and like them even after knowing their real character. I feel like their love is beyond everything. It’s deep, hurting, scary, unpredictable and above all true. 😭😭😭🤧❤️ She accepted him raw

A) Are mad that Saeroyi didn’t meet Yi Seo first and instead met Soo Ah, but didn’t stay with her. Which. Happens in real life. You don’t always live happily ever after with your first love.
B) Because Yi Seo isn’t like a typical female drama lead, but IMO that’s what makes her so refreshing. They still made her really human and didn’t over exaggerate her mental illness by having her stab everyone in the back and rub her hands together menacingly in the background, but did show her growing and managing her sociopathy to the point of being able to develop genuine empathy and love for not only Saeroyi but also her friends and establish meaningful relationships not based off of greed or for personal gain.
Soo Ah and Saeroyi’s relationship has always been shallow to me. At the most she was his first love, crush, even. They didn’t have a grownup relationship and Soo Ah only ever tried to confess to Saeroyi when it’d benefit her and she felt like she had no other viable option. I don't know why some people didn't like the main lead because 'they don't have the chemistry' when all throughout the series i've been screaming at how subtle Saeroyi shows his feelings to Yiseo. I get that he's been saying he likes Soo-Ah but that just it. He actually wasn't in love to Soo-Ah in the first place. It was just pure crush. It was shown in the last episode when he said his mind and heart are all filled with Yiseo, and then he ask YiSeo if that's what she feels the "heart beating". That shows he actually didn't know what being in love is.
Because they live in denial. Kim Da Mi is a good actress.She surpass other actress that partner with Park Seo Joon. To be honest this the best chemistry between Park Seo Joon and his female lead.

She truly portrait the meaning of unconditional love in this series. She loved him so much that she didn't care what world think of her .stood by him in thick and thin and he let her be . She wasn't completely rejected as a person but not been accepted for a woman he loves . It's a very well written character and script .
Itaewon Class was beautifully done. I just loved how it ended. The story, the characters, the diversity, the revenge, the acceptance, the forgiveness, the success and the love. I’m so glad Saeroyi succeeded, it was inspiring. I’m also glad he chose Yi-seo over Soo ah. Yi-seo deserved Saeroyi’s love more. This is my favourite kdrama and it really resonates with me. I never knew I could love a show so much where it has me thinking about it a lot. I hope I’m able to find unconditional love one day. I really learned a lot from Saeroyi. Being honest with yourself is very important. This show is going to take me a while to get over it.

SRY just found his luck and blessing after he met YS, although his road to success is rough but how can he manage to franchise his company in just 4 years! He is continuously showered by love of this psycho girl whom just devote and sacrifice her life to him only. Thank God that he finally realizes his feelings to her! In real life no one will ever be faithful as YS especially if the one you like is just around you daily and saying that he don’t like you. 90% will just give up. So I really love YS character so unique and refreshing!

I love Yi Seo with all my heart. She grew up and learned a lot. She's my favorite character. Firstly I want to notice is that fact he hasn't figured out his true feeling towards Yi Seo yet. It will be the next great stage but not this one. And I really admire Yi Seo's openness. Cus that kind of character is difficult to find nowadays.
So many people are saying that Saeroyi just “randomly” decided that he liked her when there were so many signs and clues throughout the show that showed that he loved her the whole time without knowing himself.

I absolutely LOVE Yi seo as a character,and I love that she`s played by Kim Da mi.She is selfish,at times ignorant and possessing no ounce of empathy,but she`s also loyal,supportive and confident.And I love that Saeroyi is the kind of character that he is.Because you can totally see why anyone would fall in love with him.Itaewon Class is a drama adorned by imperfect,layered characters and that`s AWESOME. No one is perfect and we don`t have to agree with everything characters in dramas do in order to relate to them.I love how split people are when it comes to Yi seo because that means that the writer has suceeded. I`ll take a drama like this over dramas whose characters are as dimensional as a piece of paper,thanks.

Yesss. It’s time for him to not only give love to others but start accepting love. Soo-ah has never confessed to SRY and she keeps making him confess as if she needs the reassurance. Yet Yi Seo says it all the time to let him know that he is loved by someone. I would think ideally, a person hear and feel that they are being loved. And Soo-ah isn’t giving that feeling to SRY like Yi Seo is.
