the most saddest part here is yuri's character. when she died, she saw how his husband cried and missed her so much. she saw all of it. she even saw and happy when her husband love another woman. this is freaking one of the saddest kdrama :(((((

Itโs so incredibly cruel for the ghosts โbossesโ to make her human again just so she can โfixโ her family while also having her watch her daughter call another woman mum because she died before she was able to hold her and when they showed that montage of her watching her husband slowly fall in love with minjeong after her passing was really hard too. She was literally seeing everyone move on with their lives but she couldnโt be apart of it and now that she has the chance to live again sheโs so selfless sheโs not even considering it... it feels like a punishment more than a lesson ๐ญ

I think if this is a reality I don't mind these scenarios if I am in that position i would like my love one to move on after my passing ,it's ok my child calling other person mother because she didn't know me anyway seeing my husband slowly move on slowly falling in love again,seeing my child growing up with someone that love her and willing to take care of her I would die happy I just hope someone will tell her that I am love her is enough .

@@helpme2071 i've read somewhere said the child's acting skill and professional made them chose him too. he's so calm as a child and suits seo-woo's character well
The most frustrating part is that none of the characters are bad. There are no antagonists to hate here, yet I still cry. I so badly wanted Yuri and Gang-hwa to be together, but itโs literally impossible. I canโt hate Min-Jeong, but I donโt want Seo-woo to see ghosts. Itโs not the ending I wanted, but itโs really the only thing couldโve played out. I still get sad at the ending, but at least everyone was happy.
The child actor indeed has a striking semblance to a youthful Kim Tae Hee and so I understand very well as to why he was cast as her daughter.
This drama will make one treasure their mother more, realise the special vinculum between a mother and child as well as the importance of a healthy familial dynamics.
I watch shocked when I found out Seo Woo is a boy, but a great actor for his age.

What I liked about this drama was the fact that there was no absolute antagonist. There were annoying characters like the exorcist, the judgmental moms but they werenโt too cruel to cause big problems. Life was just happening for all the characters. Forever love this drama. Every episode made me cry

same thought.. i think aside from fixing the problem she caused to her daughter ( seeing ghost) her main purpose is to fix the relationship of her daughter and the father and her family as well. and bid goodbye after. i think on her last day her daughter would know who she is and will

Recommended this drama to my friend but she thinks it's boring. I got hooked right from the start and I was always excited to watch the new episode. This drama was funny, sad and heartwarming all at the same time. It's one of my all-time favorites! Totally underrated!
Tbh, the best ending for this drama is to see all the characters move on and let Yuri go in peace. It's a sad ending but more realistic.
Then we can get a lesson and be more gratefull in our life :)

This has been my favorite Kdrama so far....the concept is amazing and itโs so thought-provoking. It truly explains the meaning of life and that your loved ones are the only thing that matters - after every episode I always wonder if my loved ones are watching over me and are a part of my everyday routine and I donโt even realize it.
This drama was seriously 2020 best drama. I cried so bad with this drama. I felt as if my heart was being torn from my chest every episode. It truly shows a mothers love for her child. I did feel bad that she never told her husband that she loved him when she came back but I knew she didn't want to ruin the happiness he finally found after he lost her. She cared so much about everyone but herself and was never selfish. She chose to leave again so no one would suffer again.
I swear this is one of the best kdramas. I really cried every episode plus kim tae hee's beauty is a goddess

There are no antagonists or villains in this drama... They all are just victims of their own circumstances. And that's what made me cry even more after watching this.
I cried so much for this kdrama that whenever I thought of it i just started to bawl my eyes out when it ended ๐๐
This was truly a sad, yet so real drama! All the emotions were so rawโฆI donโt know if Iโm more touched from her point of view, her husbands point of view, the innocence of her daughter that never knew her.
It really paints a clear picture of how losing someone you love can affect everyone and the domino affect it has.
In every episode, I think I cried at least once.
Kim Tae Hee really know how to diversify her acting spectrum. She did good job, I was actually hoping she get any award because of her acting. She managed to break her usual acting style and character with this drama. Who'd have thought a stellar actress with strong aura would choose typical mother character with not star studded actors joined in (not underestimating other actor tho). Her crying n bawling scene really hit me. Kudos Hi Bye Mama team, you guys made our lockdown bittersweet ๐น
Yuri deserves to be Seowoo's Mom๐ญ at least, at the end of 49 days, please, jebal, told her that Yuri is her mom๐ญ i cannot stand seeing her runs to Mijeong and pushing aside Yuri๐ญ i sacrifice my tears for nothing if it doesnt end like this๐ญ

So like the 49 days is her judgement right? What if her being selfless about not wanting to ruin her daughters and former husband relationship is the test? Her award for her selflessness will be her remaining alive? Idk if Iโm overthinking it.
Also yes the main theme is about moving on, which in the end she can as well. Either through dying again or remaining on earth and rebuilding her life. (Without her ex husband and her daughter)

This drama had me crying SO much. I still loved every minute of it.
It may not have had a very "happy" ending, but it was perfect in it's own way. Although coming back to life isn't "realistic", the ending made it seem more so.

I cried every episode. Nice drama really catches my heart. All characters are kind and it really hurt me that those kind of people suffer. But the nice part is she was given second chance and not all the time we are given second chances. But really im thinking if things gone different. There are so many what if. So lets appreciate one another and be kind to each other. Even kim tae hee did not have any regret from her decision because she knows the stepmom is really kind and theres assurance that her baby and huzband is in good hands.

What bothers me the most is that Seo Woo wasnโt told that her mom died. How is that fair to not only Yuriโs memory, but also to Yuriโs family? It wouldnโt make her love her stepmother any less.

@@nitriesitt6371 NO. It's unfair and inconsiderate. Frankly, if he doesn't think his kid is old enough to understand the concept of mom being gone and a stepmom, he shouldn't have remarried. It was obviously too soon if he couldn't even be truthful about the situation. I have a friend who has been told that her dad is "in heaven" from the moment he died when she was a baby. Her mom never remarried, but it would've been unfair of her to try to pass off some random dude as her dad just because her real dad died. Children do understand, and do deserve to know, and it's incredibly unfair for the person who was gone to be swept under the rug and forgotten just to keep up this pretense of a cookie-cutter perfect family.
