Those flowers Lee Gon gave to Tae Eul is called the "Forget-me-not" flower. Some people use it to decorate their gifts as a remembrance of the sender. So you already know what Lee Gon means when he gave it to her. One intresting fact about this is it's Princess Diana's favourite flower. Remember episode 2 when Tae Eul said she's "Princess Diana?".

Kang Slaygi i just looked up the meaning of delphinium flower and it symbolizes protection against dangers among some other meanings. Lee Gon wants Tae Eul safe from all the dangers to come.

I can tell from this scene that Lee Min-Ho has grown a lot as an actor. He’s no longer that 20 yr old actor. His emotional scenes are more mature now, and has depth. We have the same take on her stepping back. Although I've read divided takes on this one that it must have been LG of the Future meeting JTE of the Present or LG of the Present meeting JTE of the Past. I still want to buy the idea that this is both LG & JTE of the Present. However, I'm welcoming the idea of time travel but not the tragic one that one dies. 🙏🏼 Perhaps, I don't want to make the sci-fi thing more complicated or I'm still in denial of the possibility that their love story could be a sad one. 😢

Yan, my take on it, he is from the future. He seems to be speaking from regrets, “I never gave you a single flower” and “I never told you this, I love you.” He said he crossed the universe to come give her flowers. It feels like he’s making up for lost time. Everything from the way he speaks to the way he’s completely broken makes it seem like he knows something she doesn’t. I have a bad feeling something tragic happens to JTE in the future so he is traveling through time to meet her again. He also disappears in the middle of a kiss as though he just vanished into thin air. If he was the current Lee Gon who is still mourning the prince’s death, I think he would give her a proper goodbye before he left. This time, it seems like he had no choice but just ran out of time.

It was not Lee gon from the future who visited TaeEul, IT WAS THE PRESENT Lee gon. he's wearing a royal Black suit for mourning because He lost Prince bouyong who is very close to him. Thats why you can feel his sadness when he visited tae eul. Tae eul stepped back because somehow she knew something was wrong and she understood what the black suit was for. He gave her flowers and kissed her because he doesnt want to have any regrets as he might lose her. This time it would be very difficult for them to see each other as he needs to be in KOC without an heir (prince bouyoung). He disappered because someone used the portal again and time stopped, thats when he felt that it would be the best time to leave as he doesnt want to bear any pain or burden seeing tae eul. In this scene, min ho delivered well an emotion that made us all mourn, cry and feel sorry for the Kings situation as what exactly how Lee gon felt when he lost prince bouyoung and the only one who can make him feel at ease is tae eul, so he visited her. But at the end of it all, it broke us all into pieces and we have not yet recovered from it. :'(

Kristina Elchico yes please. This is as simple as it is. TE notice that he is sad or he was going thru something that is why she steps back. TE realize he was not there to stay for a long time that is why she step back. LG is saying goodbye like in a way he may not see her anymore just because he is going to fight LL and close the gate something like that. Remember on the first EP when he wore the same jacket with the sword? He visits TE before he do his thing in that frozen moments in time. And please listen to all OST, they are also conveying msg. They will definitely see each other after a long time, after this long conflict they will see each other. They just have to wait, TE has to wait bec LG is going to her no matter what. He will find a way. Jebal 😂😂 happy ending plith.

People who have been carefully watching the show from the start must have realized along the way, or at least by now, that this drama does not show us a happy and light-hearted romance, but instead a melancholy love/romance. That is probably the reason why people are not liking this drama, their mind simply cannot understand it. I personally find it very unique and rare and that is why i am hooked on this drama. Number 1 on my drama list.

That’s what I thought so... many peoples said they don’t like this drama because Go Eun is not pretty and not deserved to be with Min Ho, but I really think is they actually really cannot understand this drama very well. I’m not a fanatic fans of Go Eun or Min Ho, but I didn’t have a reason for unliking this drama at very beginning episode because I feel their chemistry and really Great stories from Kim Eun Seok writernim. She never picked the wrong actors for her unpredictable story. Now I’m the one of their fans and agree that they should have more appreciates and I believe this is best drama in this year.

I also thought from the first episode that their relationship will grow into something much deeper, later on in the drama. I did not find it, according to soo many people, forced, abrupt or slow. The pace is perfect and realistic for me. Instead of wasting time and efforts, they simply accepted their feelings. One of the reasons is because they have very strong and mature characters.
Also, I am a fan of KGE. I liked her from the start. She is a very talented actress. But I was not really a fan of LMH, I mean I knew he was a good actor and i liked his dramas as well but I just was not attracted to his acting. After watching TKEM, I realised that this person has put a tremendous amount of effort for the role. Without the use of lengthy dialogues, they simply say a few words and the rest of the emotions are portrayed by their expressions. This proves that these two are fabulous actors. The chemistry is overflowing everything they are together. Hats Off to them! Now I am a huge fan of LMH! 💜💛💚

For a kissing scene this is the first time I don't actually feel an ounce of happiness for it. In sad scenes there's some dramas that create these scenes and they do well but they also still look too good, look too beautiful, and the scene is always made to still make you feel that kilig but this one, this one is just pure sadness. It's still a very beautiful scene and I'm sure that was what the team wanted as well but they really nailed the raw pain the 2 main leads felt. Lee Gon not only looked sad, he also looked defeated. As if he'd gone back multiple times just to avoid having to say goodbye but he always ends up failing so he accepts this reality. So he kisses her one last time and makes sure to say he loves her. Jeong Taeeul on the other hand, her stepping back spoke so much having done so little. That step back when she has been longing for Lee Gon just showed how afraid she was and how she knew that somehow, his appearance didn't feel right. It felt final. Goeun and Minho were so good portraying their characters 😭

I started watching this show because of the parallel universe plot line (i like this type of stuff) but I ended up thinking about how much LMH has grown as an actor in this show. I liked him in LOTBS, didn't really fancy the story in Heirs... He was an okay actor then, much better now. I know KGE from Goblin and this confirms what a great actress she is. She manages each role and scene really well and her crying scenes are always touching and moving. I can't stand most K actresses' crying scenes to be honest.... She nails both the roles of Tae Eul and Luna perfectly - I'm not sure who else can play a spunky detective and a ragged street urchin at the same time... I mean the make up team gave her really rough skin and hair for Luna's appearance as a street urchin, nothing glamorous about that at all. I can't imagine too many K actresses would want a role like that. I must say I'm more of a fan of KGE after this drama.

The Koreans seem to be very judgemental, especially with their history or juxtapositions they cannot get their heads around.
I have only just watched it, unusual storyline, but as happens so often, well crafted K dramas that other people get, don’t score well on their domestic front. The chemistry between lmh and kge is palpable. 10/10

The way LMH (LG) delivered that melancholic and dejected "I love you, I am deeply in love with you." It was both beautiful and heartbreaking and KGE's tearful & confused reaction was just genius. I think they knew this was a very important and critical scene, they both brought their A-game.
Then when LG started to kiss JTE you suddenly see tears falling on one eye then the other, then the camera pans on JTE's side and her tear dropped on LG's hands. THAT WAS AN AMAZING SHOT Y'ALL!!!

Honestly this whole scene was just amazingly done. From the emotions and the little details to the small subtle movements. But my favourite part was when she opened her eyes and he was gone. Up until now we've always seen time stopping in Lee Gon's pov or the third person but this time we saw what it looks like from the other side and it couldn't be sadder. Tae Eul probably thinks if it wasn't for the flowers in her hand, she would never believe he was ever here. She's probably still thinking she missed him so much she conjured him up and she can't tell which situation would be worst.

In all honesty, am not Lee Min-Ho fan but I have seen some of his few dramas. Seeing him in boys over flowers, heirs, city hunter and the legend of blue seas, am like he is a good actor. However, seeing him in this drama, you can see how much he’s worked hard for it and grown. This was a big role for him and he nailed it. Portraying all emotions especially as the the King! I am impressed! He took on a challenging role. A role of responsibilities than just being a pretty boy. Kudos to Kim Go-Eun and the entire cast! Am so glued on Netflix for this until the very end!

Tears, ost, lhm, go euna and script are so freaking perfect.. This is the only drama that i watch while its on going. I love go eun ever since, but i started to love lee min ho. In that kiss you can feel the longing to each other through their eyes, As to why Tae Eul stepped back, she seemed somehow sensed there is something wrong .The King, though he is in pain for the death of his beloved uncle and yet here he is , taking a fleeting moment to give those flower and to finally say " how much he loves her " Twa's indeed a very remarkable scene, so moving ! Through the eyes of Love, There is neither doubt nor fear , no inadequacies, no human frailties. Just two souls struggling to make Heaven in their two imperfect worlds. Damn you both ! This scene is actually the future King traveling in time to find her. Not the current King who is dealing with the death of his uncle. His last words says it all. He needs to go back as he came to the right Tae Eul but wrong time. After watching last episode is only when I realized what this scene meant. She stepped back because something is off about this King version. His confession of love made her sad even more as she realizes at that moment something so deep is happening that may affect their future together. The tears came flowingly as she realizes he may not be able to come back to her again. An indefinite goodbye... 😭

I think this is the future king just before Lee Gon goes back to the past to stop Lee Lim and decided not to save himself (the young Gon) instead focus on killing Lee Lim. Gon knows he will disappear if he do that, that’s why for the last time he went to see her. That’s what he was wearing on that scene. He did realize that to be able to save the future and kill Lee Lim he should sacrifice his young self, the first time he tried to stop Lee Lim he failed because he focus on saving young Gon. Remember his conversation with Sinjae? Sinjae ask him if TaeUel knows about his plan, Gon said she shouldn’t know. So sad. But thanks to Jo Yeoung for saving the young Gon this time the king isn’t alone he focus on Lee Lim while Jo focus on saving young Gon.

This scene was and is still the most breathtaking scene ever. The emotions both actors portrayed was extremely beautiful and raw. My heart still hurts and my eyes still swell up in tears every time I rewatch this scene. The director actually did a good job in making this scene less about the kiss and instead capturing the sadness delivered by both actors. I have never been this hurt by a kiss scene in a kdrama (I’ve watched countless in my days). Usually when actors kiss with tears streaming down their faces, I could still feel the simple and naive affection they had for each other, but here it’s really just a goodbye. It’s about Lee Gon confessing before he loses the chance and TaeEul hesitating knowing that this could be it for a very long while (her step back is the scariest part imo). When I watch this scene I don’t think of specific cute moments they had, I just feel and know of the love they have for each other, hence worrying about their unstable future. Trying to articulate all these thoughts is so darn hard ~

Dear TKEM Team, for the last 5 weeks you had thousands of us busy solving mysteries and formulating theories of what is to come. Millions of words must have been written down on parallel universes, time travels, love chemistry etc. by TKEM fans guessing on the upcoming episodes. Yet these past 3 days, we have not been able to move on from the last scene of ep. 10. It was so heartwrenching, mind-numbing agony that we are stumped and tearfully writing some more millions of words to try and get past this heartbreaking sadness and fear that somebody might die in the next episode. I know the writer will write what she must write but could she please consider that hearts of thousands of us fans and let us have a happy ending....

I'm loving the development of this drama so much. It takes time for a story as intricate as this one to build up, so it is normal that it feels a little slow paced. Some people are mad that KGE feelings for LMH developed so "fast" but they are missing the point. A lot of time passes between the encounters of the two characters, which is more than enough time to miss and long for someone. She is portrayed thinking about him very often, so it is only natural that she developed a string bond with him. I'm so hooked!

Lee Gon here is that King Lee Gon who didn’t want to say goodbye but had to! He consider his self as the danger to TaeEul. Lee Rim will find her bec she is LG’s weakness too.
Enough of those time travelling theories. Your guesses are just as good as everybody else. Let’s not make this too complicated than it already is. We know how conflicted their love story plus LG’s past and his current situation/responsibilities are all part of his hardship. Let’s wait for the series to unfold itself in their own timeline. 6 episodes to go!
Hats off to Lee Min Ho for showing growth & depth with his acting. It’s a different attack compared to his previous works.
And Kim Go Eun delivers every time. This girl knows how to connect her emotions to her viewers.

I´m so glad to have faithfully followed the development of the story right from the beginning because without it, I don´t think I will be able to inteprete the complexity of this scene from both side. So much uncertainty they must have felt, so many questions in viewers mind and such an intense emotion being displayed here. One thing for sure, it is not your typical rom-com but an intellectual drama! Happy to see TKEM doing so well internationally. Personally, I feel its about time for Kdrama to step up, just like how BTS for music and Parasite for movie category. I also like how KGE is tying up with Chanel to raise her international profile, and KES with Netflix. Hope LMH will get some international recognition soon.
