First of all. He kissed her and she didnt really respond, but didnt push him away either. That shows she's warming up to him but not there yet. She has been warmer towards him as the show has gone on, and that would be a normal reaction in her case. He has been connected with her for 25 years, but she did not have the same obsession. She is slowly getting there now. When he left her universe she was missing him and that is why she showed up and then trusted him to take her to his world. Once in his world she was shaken , cause wouldn't you be? Once she left him she knew everything was real, and had a better understanding. Once she got back to her universe she thought of him all the time, and missed him. When she saw him she knew her feelings are guiding her and she has no doubt anymore. So she ran to him. This means she has missed him and has accepted him wholly. It is as it should be. I'm loving it and really see growth in lmh's acting. I love both actors and think their chemistry is off the charts. I, for one, am rooting for this couple.

i love that this isn’t so cliche. he actually kissed her, not just stopped right before their mouths got close to each other. after they kissed, the girl still acted tough, and she did not become all shy-shy like the female roles in any other k-dramas. she didn’t let her guard down, and i love how brave and confident she was to actually let the guy kiss her. loving this!!

I like the show for its uniqueness and fast paced storytelling. It does not spoonfeed you but makes you think of what could bes and will bes. I saw articles stating this kiss was too soom, for me, I think it is well placed. He clearly wants to be with her and she is wary and unsure. But he is bold and straightforward. There is more to this series than their chemistry, and that is what's exciting 👍

This is one of my favorite scenes, not because of the kiss that’s a plus but I really love the effect of her being in his world has on him. But you know what is the saddest part? When they actually fall in love with each other and then realized that they are in different world. They can't contact each other, didn't know each other's condition (when she hugged Lee Gon, I cried because it hurts). The parallel universe will make this story whether end up with a sad ending or a sad happy ending (like in Goblin)

If we look carefully and read through the lines ,Tae Eul realized that in ep 6.The kitchen scene is meaningful ,because it is not only them having a date ,it is her realizing their impossible relationship.That's why she decided to leave right away and asks to see the ID. In ep 8 is revealed that she decided to live in the moment rather than think about their future.She knows they belong to different worlds and have to part ways at some point

I have watched and rewatched their scenes together.And for those saying they do not understand Tae Eul falling in love with Lee Gon so quickly ,I have only this to say : ARE YOU BLIND OR WHAT? Like ,seriously ,he is every girl's dream.He is illegaly handsome ,smart ,funny and so tender hearted.He also showed that he can be determined and would put his life in line for his country.Every time he looks at Tae Eul ,he has hearts in his eyes.Everyone can tell he adores her and is not ashamed to demonstrate it.He was so gentle and carring to her in ep 6 ,I felt like crying at their every scene.Not to mention that he is a king and rich beyond the wildest dream.Like ,what woman in her right mind wouldn't love someone like him? Once the shadow of doubt was removed , why would she hold back?

Honestly, I was very upset by the fact that people were saying this drama has a bad storyline, actors have no chemistry and lee min ho was acting very badly.
Firstly the storyline, this drama has a very refreshing and genuine storyline.
Secondly the chemistry, I completely disagree with people saying they have no chemistry, the guy has been curious about the girl for 25 years, he didnot even know that the girl existed in real life and when he finally meet her he just couldnot control his feelings anymore. Anyone would behave this way if they meet the person of their dreams, in real life. He has been expressing his feelings for her since the first episode. Also about the girl, ofcourse, she is going to resist. Who in their right mind would fall for someone who says he is from another world. You can clearly see that even though she is not believing about the parallel universe thing, she is still trying to understand him, she feels something for him since the day he hugged her, she can feel the genuineness from his words and actions. And finally when there is nothing felt to doubt anymore, she opens her mind and heart towards him.
The kiss is not a fast or an abrupt kiss either. This kiss represents his affection and adoration for her. He is slowly trying to make her realise what he feels for her. The actress also shows that she is a bit startled by the kiss but she doesnot dislike it. She is definitely warming up to him.
Lastly the actors' acting, I was not a lee min ho fan but after watching this drama, I can definitely say that this person can act well. He is portraying a King, which means he has to act calm and compose all the time. He cannot just express his feelings openly like a common person. So, he has to deliver his feelings through his eyes and he is doing a fabulous job at that. Showing his sadness and happiness just from his expressions is very difficult and he nailed it. Hence, I donot agree with people saying he is acting badly.
I read a lot of comments and i am glad that people here have similar thoughts as mine. Also, comparing this drama to goblin makes no sense, goblin was a fantasy drama between people who had supernatural powers so basically they were not human anymore. Where as, the king, is drama where they are showing two human who have different responsibility falling for each other.

Spot on! Lee Min Ho is an actor who can express his character's feelings through his eyes.I am always able to know how he feels by just looking at his face.This is something not many actors can do.As someone who lives in UK,where there still is monarchy ,he is portaying a king to perfection.They are trained basically from craddle on royal protocol ,how to act,what to say etc.They have to be composed and calm at all times,not letting their true emotions show.
As for the romance ,I can totally relate.Sometimes people meet and fall in love without knowing a lot about each other.About 3-4 months after meeting my husband ,I knew he is the one.We married after dating for 1 year.12 years and 2 kids later ,I have never been happier or regreted my decision.
Tae Eul has a very strong reason not to hold back.That comes from the realization that she does not know when/if she will be able to see him again.If you watch carefully ,ep 6 their conversation in the kitchen ,she is fully aware that her story with Lee Gon has no future and will be short lived.That's why she gave in and decided to live in the moment

I guess this drama have a new plot unlike any other kdramas that has to be catchy and suspenseful in the beginning to gain more viewers. When I started watching it, i don't feel the rush of excitement until episode 3 was released. It started me to realize that this series is getting interesting and more exciting as episodes goes by. It doesn't con the viewers by it's interesting start but it captures the viewers by simply giving hints and new twists in each episode. Salute to the writers, director and casts! If you're just a kdrama beginner, you won't get it, but if you're a pro, i'm sure you'll get to it. I promise it's very worth it to watch!

I like this drama because instead of the main girl fighting and longing for the guys attention, he's the one who does that. He's also so gentle, sweet, and patient with her. It was sad when he asked her, "why did you leave me alone? You're the only person I know" and those other times he stared at her with a look of confusion because of how she treated him, but I'm so glad she's starting to fall for him.
No matter how much I love Kim Go Eun, I really wasn't expecting her and Lee Min Ho to act together and match, but they're actually cute together. I can't wait for the upcoming episodes because you already know there'll be more romantic scenes like this one ❤🧡
