😭 this just makes me sad. I was rooting for him and his guard to survive. the guard dying and being a traitor was like a double whammy for the crown prince. Seriously, poor guy can't catch a break. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, he had to give up the crown to save his guard's son. Man, I do hope the prince's luck takes a turn for the better in season 3 because gah he's about due for one. 😭😭😭
I think it was a wise choice to give up the throne. I think Prince Chang realized that he'd be more useful if he were able to go out and find our more about the disease. Being King would've bound him to the palace.
@@Breenndda Yep, it was especially with the child already there. Even before realizing the importance of finding out more about the revival plant, his own moral code won't let him sacrifice a child. I still hope he becomes King, though.

They had the best dynamic 😭😭 i was all like "WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU" when it was revealed that Mu Yeong did "that" to the prince
When the guard died, I cried so hard, both for him and the prince. Prince Lee Chang knew that the mole was Muryeong, yet he didn't do anything because he didn't want to lose yet another person from his life. It is indeed heartbreaking.

Man, i cried real hard in this scene. Despite the betrayal that transpired, the crown prince, at his bodyguards's last breath, chose to believe in him. That his betrayal was simply done for he was merely a guard and was only trying to protect the precious famliy he didn't even have gotten the chance to enjoy. This scene showed us what betrayal can do just as what can forgiveness can do too. 🙁😢

The writer said that she was imagining Sejabin(princess consort) while writing this scene, and that Seja(crown prince) is old enough and such important, so he definitely have a wife, but he may lose her unfortunately. In an interview with an actor who played the role of a prince, the actor asked about the marriage of the prince, and the writer said that it would be the next season, even if it was there.
