I've seen him tear up before, can't recall where, but he was talking about his children. He was just like this, emotional and willing to be utterly vulnerable. I love men that are so openly human like he is here. It's lovely.

Not quite. Vote for whom? Biden? Trump? The candidates are dog shit. And racism is not a policy but it is a culture so to think that it will be reduced by a different party in power is naive.
I have always seen Anthony Mackie smile and make others smile. It's just heartbreaking to see him cry. He must be feeling it really strong. He is such a charming guy. It's just heartbreaking to see him like this.

His energy for this critically important need to vote (especially in this Presidential contest year!) was reflected by George Floyd’s brother at the site of his brother’s murder! Despite his personal hell of visiting the site of his brother’s killing, George’s brother gave an impassioned plea to the crowd around him to do something and VOTE! Make a change in our public policies by voting in people who one knows will identify with and then better understand the needs of their constituencies!

Seeing a new side of Jimmy Fallon, and feeling impressed with his genuine empathy. This was a moving interview, listening to a father having to tell his young boys about life for black American men. So sad to think how little has changed since MLK.

It’s stupid that you have to register to vote. For example in Germany every german is registered and everybody gets a postcard with an explanation where to go at what date. You don’t even have to show your Id. The postcard is enough. I don’t understand why there are so high obstacles in the us. It’s like they don’t even want you to vote.

@Crystal Method that's another issue I just don't get because asking for time off to vote shouldn't be an issue! In Australia we vote on the weekend, why would you make voting a work day? Unless you don't actually want everyone to vote. It should be easy to vote, not hard.
I mean, mostly it's because they don't want (certain) people to vote, but also the US doesn't have the same kind of record keeping you have in Germany and the countries influenced by German beurocracy (like the Nordic countries were I'm from). I mean, I only had to go to the UK to get weird looks about how my Swedish passport and driving licence don't include an adress, because that's how you identify people in the UK and every time you move you need new documents. And when you try to explain that in Sweden everyone has an identity number and your adress is a matter of public record, they look at you like you just said you're from the 1960's Soviet union... 🙄😂
It is because of how many people are here illegally. Why should they get a chance to vote on a country they aren't even supposed to be in. It is not that hard to register. You can get it in the mail and send it back. Dont have an address? Go to the post office on your lunch break. It doesnt take much effort...

I love love love listening to Anthony Mackie speak. He's thoughtful and intelligent and as much as I love his character in Marvel I genuinely prefer just Mackie himself. When he started choking up with emotion thinking of MLKJr and the whole struggle of it, I felt tears come too.

There isn't one singular way to provide change. Especially systematic change. Voting is very important and everyone should exercise their right and educate themselves to chose the right representatives. But people should be comfortable with doing more than just voting.
