Fully agree. If they cannot keep their stables clean, somebody else has to hold them accountable. I understand that they have a tough job and need to stand together, but once you start to protect nest-poopers it should be over.

Jeezus. I've been a tennis fan since I could walk & hold a racket. James Blake, to me, is one of our most famous & beloved tennis players. So, it's unbelievable that A) he wasn't recognized at a Grand Slam tournament, the US Open, in his own country, and B) he was treated so horribly for simply being a black man. Naive maybe? But definitely disheartened & disgusted.
...In othe news... I still have a mad crush on this gorgeous, intelligent, humble man. Great ambassador to the game both on & off the court.

If I must be accountable and not able to work in my field due to a minor incident, police need the same level. We can't keep having bad eggs travel from place to place with nothing being done.

Sure Jimmy your show could have inserted a clip of the incident. It was a brute force and he could have easily broken his arm and never played again. This is someone who represents USA in games and former world number 4 in tennis. That cop is still out there working. Nothing done to him. 4 days holiday at home and I am sure it was paid leave. The cop has been probably promoted and is surrounded by people like him. That case should be reopened and the video should have been shown here so people know. I certainly have never forgotten. We in UK were very shocked at the time and it is ghastly to think that cop was never dismissed. Shame on America.

Rate of deaths, per million, at the hands of the police in the USA is 67 times higher than in England and Wales. (Scot and NI are counted separately in UK) However, "Combined figures for England and Wales show black people were 40 times more likely to be stopped, up from 14 times in 2017." Report 2019 from Liberty. We need to be alert.

I am incredibly sad and angry that every black family in America has to have "the talk" with their children and loved ones! I find it ironic that James Blake got an apology later because he a legendary tennis player, what about the black man or woman or teenager who is not famous or a celebrity, you can guarantee they wouldn't be getting any type of apologies. I live in Canada and while it may not be as prevelant here, it does still exist. I wish people would wake up and see that this needs to STOP NOW!!! James Blake and Jimmy Fallon thank you for bringing this to the attention of all of us. Things need to change IMMEDIATELY!!!

Nobody should be assaulted in the course of an arrest, especially for the financial crime the officer claimed to have been investigating when he jumped this innocent man. Bernie Madoff was not arrested this way and he confessed guilt to more than $50 billion in fraud.

This guy is pathetic. I’m sorry but he has been using this incident for nothing but personal gain and attention. He looks identical to a criminal that was wanted in the area this happened. It was a case of mistaken identity, the cop explained what happened, he apologized and everything was fine between the two of them when they parted ways. No speculation. It’s all on camera. It’s an unfortunate situation but the world isn’t perfect and it was handled appropriately. To claim to be a victim of anything is just spreading falsehoods.

He was assaulted by an officer of the law strictly based on appearance. He is telling the story as it happened. Officers do NOT have the right to attack a man who they just /think/ /might/ be a suspect. That would give them the unilateral right to detain anyone they wished and say that they "thought they could've been the suspect". Attitudes like yours are why police get away with murdering innocent people.
