Short version is - indigenous people of Australia since 2003 are no more likely to die in custody than non-indigenopus people. As a per capita rate for the whole country, indigenous death in custody is much higher than non-indigenous. This is because incarceration rates for indigenous people are higher than non-indigenous ( tinyurl.com/y6wtlcsx ), which has been a social/justice issue of concern for decades. It's a generational issue that no mind fart in you tube comments could possibly do justice.

The Aboriginal people as a whole have contributed virtually nothing to the rise of the nation Australia. Infact in many instances they opposed it. Although the government never did a great job at including them but still the FACT remains that the british created this nation.

Aboriginal deaths in custody in Australia were happening before the 90s also. The 90s brought a royal commission into these deaths. After that Royal commission there have been around 500 more deaths. These deaths have never been investigated not one person has ever been brought to trial. There is also footage of some of these deaths which include 6 guards holding a man down, the man can be heard repeatedly saying that he cant breathe, soon the man stops moving and stops breathing and is completely motionless, the guards continue to hold him down for another two minutes. When the guards release their hold on him he was dead. These guards and many more have never been brought to trial.
