I'm glad neither of them pulled a Seth Rogen and abandoned their friend who got them into Hollywood over sexual harassment allegations. (in case it ain't clear I'm talking about how Seth is no longer friends with James Franco even though Seth's career is mostly movies with him)

@@jeremyhanson701 both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were being accused as well. It got reaallyy close for Affleck on a few occasions but Damon never left his side. Seth Rogen abandoned James Franco the day after he was accused and I don't think the public was ever informed on the outcome of his accusation. So yeah maybe it was true but we never found out. Guess we'll never know
It's nice to see Affleck being so happy around Matt. They truly have each other's back all the time

Though I am not the movie fans of them but I am an avid fan of their friendship, or I better say “brothers in arms”. They are like soulmates.
They remind me of what could have been between Keanu and River.
I'm really glad to see Ben feeling better. You can tell that he's in the eye of the storm still but he looks alot more relaxed. People love judging him but the truth is that alcoholism is a nightmare and there are millions of factors that make you an addict and it's not entirely his fault so, I wish people would be more understanding because he's a very good person and a good father, he fights his demons head first and that's something to learn from, not mock.

Thank you so much for this comment. My Best friend was an alcoholic and I didn’t even know how bad it was until I found all the bottle under his bed by accident. It’s hard being an addict, I salute anyone who truly tries to beat it . I’m proud of Ben.❤️
I don't know about everlasting love, but everlasting friendship exists! Matt and Ben are clear example of this.
Ben seemed so quiet at first but when JF talked about Good Will Hinting it is like “the light” just brightened up in Ben. He seems so alive and happy to talk about it suddenly.
So good to see the life long friendship between Matt and Ben, through thick and thin together, that outlasts many marriages.

I watched Good Will Hunting for the first time last week and I loved every minute of it, Matt Damon and Robin Williams had such great chemistry. My favorite moment would have to be when Sean told Will the story of how he met his late wife, that scene just warmed my heart.
I hope Ben knows how much he is worth to the movie business. He looks really good and seems to have de-aged a bit since he had to put on all the muscle for Batman. I'm happy for him!

Her writing in Can You Ever Forgive Me was fantastic, even got an Oscar nomination. And the fact that she is Martin Scorsese's student, she's definitely a good screenwriter coming off as a Scorsese student

Just saw "The Last Duel" and I really liked it. Happy to see movies of its caliber in theatres. It draws audiences in as a medieval slugfest ala Gladiator or Braveheart but it's really a three part criminal procedural mystery set in a very convincing medieval France. It is quite visceral and doesn't pull punches, it can be hard to watch in its intensity and raw honesty at times, but the film is definitely better for it. Very well done. One of those films you want to see again too, to see if you pick up on things you missed the first time through. 9/10 would recommend to anyone 16 or older who is willing to sit down and invest their time and attention in a long film.
everything ive read and the people ive heard from said it was pretty bad actually... that it seemed like it was going to be good during the first hour but was a total dud

@@devinmichaelroberts9954 I guess we can agree to disagree. I loved that it was based on a true story and told from three perspectives. It's not a medieval action movie but it is a brilliant work and time piece. I loved it and will watch it again. I have recommended it to many.
It’s very smart of them to hire a woman to lend a realistic female perspective. We need more women writing women’s parts
And the best part is, Nicole Holofcener is Martin Scorsese's student so we expect a great female character in the movie with her writing it
This modern notion that you have to be it to write it is just dumb. Who do you suppose wrote all of the so-called "women's films" of the 30s, 40s & 50s? You frequently hear people lamenting that bygone era when there were more films about women featuring great and complex female characters. But 99% were written by men. It's the job of a writer to have enough empathy and intelligence to write for any character. And the requirement that you must be a woman to write a woman or be black to write a black character only leads us to where we are now: with an increasing number of excruciatingly stupid films aimed at increasingly niche audiences, and almost nothing that stands up to intelligent scrutiny.

If you are the literatures’s fan you will know genders are not relevant. Female authors can write the best perspective of men and male authors can write the most beautiful women literatures. It is the Hollywood industry only that you need female screen writers to write the female perspectives.

It's funny how you can think you know stars, just because you watch their movies and see them on TV or read about them on magazines. What I do know is I like their movies, they seem to be cool guys (with problems like we have problems), you could tell they both love their families (a+). I wish both of them the best. My favorite movie of theirs was"Good will hunting", a movie done with another awesome actor I loved Mr Robin Williams.

Jimmy asks, "How sad is it that female perspectives aren't shown enough in film and TV?" He doesn't give Nicole time to answer, and then proceeds to talk to Ben and Matt about a movie they made 25 years ago, without asking the woman any more questions. I adore Jimmy and I don't think I've ever left a comment like this before, but it did jump out as a bit hypocritical and a little icky. I get that Ben and Matt are two of the most famous people on Earth, but I've already heard their stories a dozen times. I would've liked to hear from the modern Jane Austen a little more. ❤️

Daredevil was amazing. Aside from the reimagining of The King Pin (which wasn't bad either) the film showed character.
