3:55 You're both right. Americans use our hands when we speak *way more* than Koreans do, but Koreans react _verbally_ way more than we do. You'll say something mildly interesting and a Korean will be like, "wooooow, amaaaaazing," but their hands stay put.^^
True. They have weirder expressions for when they r surprised. No, not weirder... Maybe, more of them?
They have many different sounds for expressing something.
Right. I feel like Koreans use more head movements and pitch changes to express themselves while we Americans tend to use our hands more.
I don't think it depends on where you're from, it's really the person
I don't think it's true. If you are just basing this on watching Korean people on TV, that's not accurate. On TV, it's important to try and exaggerate your reactions. In real life reactions are way more minimal.

@@linda_pham maybe the Koreans you know... I'm friends with a Korean exchange student at my university and his reactions are so big and loud that if we're ever working together in the library and he starts, everyone stares at us π I'd say it's 50/50 like literally everywhere else

I heard about this Korean couple who visited china, and they were riding a taxi., the taxi driver pretended the car wasn't working and he asked if the husband could walk out and push the car. The husband did, and the taxi driver drove off with the woman and killed her and sold her organs. Never going to china π¬

That bowing problem is also my problem. I don't live in Korea but i have a Korean friend who keeps on bowing and got me used to bowing. When I would greet teachers I'd be like: good morning *bows* π€¦ββοΈ. One of the teachers even bows back now πππ

My fave is a Japanese friend here in the States had to call a company back in Japan to get help for something. When they were able to help her and she was saying "arigato" she kept bowing. This was back in 1999, not a video call or nothing, they couldn't see her but she bowed like several times

I took a holiday in Korea for a month. Bowing is so normal to me. But in Australia it's weird to do. So I limit myself to a dip of the head with a slight bow. It seems way more polite and respectful to me. Especialy Coz I'm younger, i think it is good to do
As a Czech person, regarding the bathroom thing, thatβs literally just the tourist places. Outside of Prague, I donβt think Iβve ever paid for using a restroom.
In Brno are some places, where you have to pay,but not many. I don't think Olomouc or Ostrava has paid rest/bathrooms.
Also the expressing thing...I think czech people are like Eggs..looking tough (no expression)but being soft inside.
Were they just talking about the czech republic or europe in general? I know in england you have to pay and honestly some of them are pretty bad I don't feel you get your money's worth. lol

Paying for restrooms in Czech is actually pretty common thing for me, even in small towns π€·ββοΈ. I'm so glad that i found some czech people in comments btw. π

I only just got interested in Pentagon after their Humph comeback, but Kino keeps standing out to me. This video too, his facial expressions are so various and interesting to look at I keep looking only at him without meaning to.
He is my bias in Pentagon. π
This is generally the consensus whenever people first watch pentagon. Kino draws focus. Not in a bad way. He just has a lot of charisma. Obviously so do all the other members but idk Kino has something else. I never can explain it. It's like some innate quality. He just always looks very comfortable. Like he's exactly where he's meant to be in any given moment.

8:12 I love Hongseok mentioning that he lived in Singapore for a while. He doesn't necessarily do it often, but it's always cool and very much appreciated whenever he does.
5$ for going to the hospital? In Spain the healthcare is free. Lol. You only pay for some medicines, and a reduced price.
For us in Malaysia, the 5 bucks we spend at gov hospitals covers the doctor's fee, treatment and the medicine as a whole.
Here in Sweden, we have "free" healthcare. It costs roughly $20-30, but that's the same no matter what you do. We have to pay for prescribed medicine up to a certain amount, after which it'll be free for a year.
Honestly, it's pretty much a scam to call it free, because $30 is pretty much full price. Of course, we have the same system as with the medicine, so after a certain amount of visits, it's free for a year. That's generous and all, but health issues are usually quite short term unless it's chronic, in which case it's immediately free regardless. It's pretty dumb, really. I think it's good that people don't go there unnecessarily, but there are so many people who turn out to have severe health issues that don't go because they feel like it's not worth it in case there's no problem. It dissuades people from going to the hospital.
I saw an old man with quite obvious skin cancer want to buy lotion instead of going to the hospital. However, when they don't really have any money to spare, they don't want to accidentally waste it.
