I'm super into linguistics and idioms are one of the more fun things to delve into with other languages bc some stuff you straight up just can't say outside of its specific language and I love/hate it 😂

Yay another Dave video! I grew up a dancer so break a leg is such a common phrase in my life, my non dance friends actually would get confused when I used it. It was also fun when teaching little kids the term before their first performance, they would be horrified but we would explain we aren’t gonna literally break their legs 😂

외국여행을 갈때 번역기를 가지고 가는 사람들이 많은데, 예전에 가이드가 했던 말이 생각이 나네요....^^
번역기를 사용을 할때 문장으로 번역을 하지말고, 단어로 번역을 하라고 하더군요. 영어문장을 직역을 하면 이상하게 번역이 될수도 있다고 말입니다.
오늘 영상을 보고나니, 직역을 하면 이상한 문장이 될수도있으니 잘 알아두어야 할듯 합니다^^
