    Conor adopted this boxing technique in recent years with his feet planted. It just doesn’t work in mma, he’s to stationary. I miss the old Conor who was fluid in there and can go in and out of pocket with a quick step. He’s become the “stuck in the mud” fighter he claimed everyone else was

      His stance is more of traditional boxing now, you can search up videos on KRplus as well. Even DC said in commentary that since he’s fighting in boxing stance his movement is heavy and room is available for Dustin for leg kicks. I genuinely hope he brings back his karate/Taekwando stance which he used to use back in 2015-16.

      tbh it's really annoying when people say Connor got man handled when in reality Connor didn't fight in the UFC for 2 years and he comes back to the best of the best, Khabib was active and fighting a lot. This is why I love Conor because he always fights the best of the best, he takes the hardest fights that can bring the most money in. Khabib was fighting bums in the start of his career until he finally started getting attention a few years ago, Khabib was getting lit up by the worst Conor we ever seen, Conors power, form, and stamina was at it's worse and his kicks weren't as fast, firm, and strong.

    Few years back I was pretty fed up with Conor, especially after the incident with that old man at the pub. I loved his showmanship but the money did change him. After seeing this I have a newfound respect for the guy. He sounds so much more mature and composed. Great to see. I don't know if fighting really is for him anymore tho... he already achieved everything in his mid/late 20s, now he's in his 30s and has kids and literally everything he could ever need, rich beyond dreams. Hard to keep that fire burning hot when that's your life. That said it would be interesting to see him committing himself 100% to boxing

      Conor never really had to fight calf kickers when he fought orthodox stance fighters. But when he fights another southpaw stance fighter that calf kick becomes really problem as they can now use stronger leg on lateral calf where the peroneal nerve are. Conor's leg was completely toasted in second round.

    Tbh he didn't look bad at all. His boxing actually looked really sharp. The thing is it is a mma match not a boxing match. I really wouldn't count him out any time soon.

      True, i think so too. His punches were fast and came through. At any second Dustin could have been ko'd. But in the end Dustin was the winnen, he had good strategy and good defence, just both great fighters.

      @@keaponlaffin6737 Now that Conor knows Dustin is going for the calf kicks, he needs to ditch his boxing stance and go back to his old karate/taekwondo stance so those calf kicks won’t land and take him out in the trilogy. Even with the boxing stance, in the 1st rd conor outstruck and wobbled dustin twice but eventually the toll of the calf kicks caught up.

      @@MrOnetedify With the traditonal boxing stance you lean on your front foot to get more power in your punches. With the Karate stance you lean slightly more on your back foot. Makes it easier to pull your front leg kick up to check.

    Yea I didn't have the chance to see this fight as much as I wanted to I love UFC always have but I truly respect and enjoy these fighters I'm happy the fight went the way it did now that I've learned about it and they are REAL MEN going home safe to their families..       I just think he did it to prove something. He didn’t want to be known as a one-dimensional guy and wanted to prove his right hand, and other things. He was getting too creative.
      I love Conor, but he sometimes thinks he can do everything, which he can’t. Want his bounce back fight. I was disappointed.

    I used to be a Conor hater long time ago but after seeing him lose to Nate Diaz and in interviews how he accepted defeat and his loss, faults was truly eye-opening. man speaks nothing but the truth, says I will adjust and comeback which he does. A true diehard loyal fan to this day

You fought like the modern-day Bruce Lee. Since Mayweather, you became 'stuck in the mud' and never adjusted back to MMA. Bring back your movement coach. Go back to the basics--what made you great.
