Who's excited for Isle of Berk!?
Meeee
I’m so excited, I’m really hoping I get to work the coaster there
As someone who isn’t interested in How to Train your Dragon, this still looks like a cool place to visit, I remember someone on Twitter saying it will be like Cars Land in DCA, you don’t have to be a fan of the source material to enjoy it.
I knew Isle of Berk was going to be the best land!
MEEEEE
The fact they're highlighting all the kinetics of the land, the flying dragons, and the walk around dragons seems like a direct shot at Galaxy's Edge and how lifeless it feels.
Galaxy’s edge could be better but “lifeless” isn’t the word I’d use
@@WasthatthebiteYeah, I'd use the word "dead." 😂
@@Wasthatthebite Its so "nothing". Such a waste of a great property.
@Wasthatthebite it's dead like their incrediblely expensive "immersive" star wars hotel lmao only the youtubers "loved it" everybody else wrote bad reviews and called it a wate of money
when will you guys let this disney vs universal stuff go. it’s corny and forced, just enjoy both parks and quit trying to turn everything into a competition. Universal improving is a good thing for disney fans and vice versa. Also Galaxy’s edge is fun and definitely not lifeless, you are just blinded by your bias.
Alicia is crushing it with these videos! I'm in awe of your editing and editorial skills.
Thank you! Can’t believe this one is already done and up already lol
@@ThemeParkStop awesome works as always - I knew from your last construction update a new announcement was coming, but kudos for getting this video out there so quickly - I'd already decided I would wait to hear your take on it rather than looking elsewhere!
Alicia Stella: Gives us the most up to date insider information that's conveyed perfectly and concisely.
other vloggers: "uhhhh, this land looks cool. It's gonna have dragons. I think the indoor area is supposed to have a broom ride. I'm not sure but it's what I heard."
Alicia, you are the supreme source for all things Epic. Thank you for what you do!
that's why i only watch her epic universe news update videos and not anyone else's
Dragon Drones flying through the air would literally be insane...
I would cry, I would cry so hard
Glad we got details on the boat ride. It looks to be way more fun than I thought it would, and its going to be hugely beneficial in the Florida summer heat. I knew this land wasn't going to be the thrill capital of the park (we already have other thrill options), but its going to be fantastic as an all-around entertainment area for sure.
Agreed. Universal isn't trying to compete with thrill capitals like Six Flags or Busch Gardens or SeaWorld. Instead, Universal is competing directly with Disney, building a true family park with immersive theming that appeals to people of all ages--something that Disney is doing less and less.
But, it may be for the littles! My grandkids love Toothless, and they are already going nuts for it, but are too scared/small of bigger rides.
This has always been my most-anticipated area of Epic Universe. Not because it's the most original or the most unusual, but because it is going to be everything that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge isn't. At Galaxy's Edge, you can't meet the Original Trilogy characters--but you can meet Hiccup and Astrid in Berk! In Galaxy's Edge, all of the attractions are indoors, so there is no kineticism to the land. In Berk, nearly all the attractions are outdoors, which will inject much-needed life into the land. Galaxy's Edge has nothing to offer for younger park guests, while Berk has a dedicated play area and several family-oriented rides. Plus, a dragon meet-and-greet and adoptable dragons? Absolutely the best merchandising opportunity ever!
Dark universe is my most anticipated land
@@metallicnole4514 Love and look forward to them all except Harry Potter World. I hate that franchise because the kind of magic presented is NOT the magic I think of. When I think of magic, I think of Elsa, Maleficent and even Quan Chi.
@@Angie2343 I'm a fan of Dr. Strange magic lol
i love that they tied a story into the coaster being low to the ground. it feels like everything is really being thought out in a creative way
How does it feel to be right about everything?!? You nailed everything!
Alicia you guys produce the best Epic Universe content that is clear and understandable.
Agreed!
I really like the backstory for Hiccup's Wing Gliders, how it revolves around Hiccup's nerdiness and his desire to help train future dragon riders aka the guests. I hope it has a good pre-show & some funny lines from him during the ride itself (I'll laugh so hard if he says "Everything looks good...I think this time it's going to work!" just before the first launch).
don't try and compare Hiccup's Wing Gliders with The Incredible Hulk Coaster.
BY far my favorite Epic Universe and theme park info channel.NO contest.
For me too!! What I love most about Alicia is her support for the Trevor Project. She even does a fundraiser for the organization every year!!
The Trevor Project is so important because it helps protect queer children, especially those who identify as transgender and/or non-binary. As a neurodivergent queer person (NQP) myself, I totally relate to these kids. I knew I was queer when I was as young as 6 years old. The bottom line is that kids always know what is best for their bodies. We need to TRUST them to make these decisions because they know what is best for themselves. They know what will make them happy now and for the rest of their lives.
These kids with gender dysmorphia were born in the wrong body and therefore require critical pharmaceutical and medical interventions that will make the necessary and permanent changes to their body so that they can be happy with their bodies. This may require changes to sex hormones through pharmaceutical drugs or surgical procedures to the child's genitalia (once they're old enough, of course) to ensure their body matches their personality.
For example, when a child has a personality that is more boyish (sometimes referred to as being a "tom boy"), then breasts should be removed (mastectomy) to make sure the child's body is appropriate for his personality. Conversely, if a child has a more girlish personality (e.g. if they like makeup and pretty dresses), then the penis should be surgically removed to make sure the effeminate personality is no longer stuck with those genitals.
Thank you to Alicia AND the Trevor Project for this incredibly important work. Thank you for protecting trans and queer kids!!!
I didn't even know about Epic Universe and wasn't interested in Universal parks until I found this channel!
That was fast, congrats on being spot on again
This park seeems so ambitious, so much planning and thinking went into this whole thing
They mentioned that the rides will be themed after the kids so I’m thinking it might be this:
* Hiccup's Wing Gliders - Hiccup (of course)
* Fyre Drill - Ruffnut and Tuffnut (they mentioned this)
* Dragon Racer's Rally - Astrid and Snotlout (if you look at the dragons on the ride they are Stormfly and Hookfang)
* Viking Training Camp - Fishlegs
That would absolutely check out!
Oh yeah that’s absolutely how they are going to play this! Just awesome storytelling going on behind the scenes that I think is really going to bring this land to life.
The amount of detail is absolutely mind boggling.
This looks like the sleeper hit of the park. Something lately Disney parks are missing but this land has in spades is kinetic energy. I’m very excited for this land and it might be the first place I visit (I’ll be saving the village of darkmore for the evening).
Everyone's been sleeping on this land. It looks way more interesting than Super Nintendo in my opinion. 🐲
Not me, I'm most excited for Berk. I can't wait.
I agree. Super Nintendo is the least exciting considering it already exists in two other parks. Although DK coaster is still very exciting.
It feels very unique and very fleshed out.
All i care about in Nintendo is Toadstool cafe, bowser jr, and dk coaster
@@SillyBathDog you're missing out.
It’s going to be epic!!! Thank you for all of the information over the years! We are almost there!
This land is going to make me cry when I finally step into it.
I’m happy that the show is coming to Orlando. Looks great. Thanks for the video.
I should watch these movies
they're criminally underrated
you should, they’re awesome
Firstly, Alicia produces the very best Epic content bar none. Secondly, I need one of those baby dragons ❣
I'm sure they'll be selling baby dragons. No need to worry
@@0dylan I just hope they don't sell out before I can get one like the shoulder Hedwigs had.
The how to train your dragon land is going to be absolutely adorable!
So if every land gets an interactive thing, what will be Dark Universe's? An interactive pitchfork or mob torch? 😅 I'd but that.
Neck bolts? Bloodstone necklace? My family has talked about going to Epic in 2026 and it almost sounds like I might need to grow an additional appendage. With a Power Band, Wand, Dragon (please be shoulder mountable), Dark Universe item (probably just for me...), and maybe a Celestial Park item (that might be a necklace?) to go along with my normal 'day at a theme park' gear.
This looks absolutely amazing, even if I'm an adult with no kids. It would have been so easy to just wave it off as a kid's area but even if you're not interested in things like the play area it's so immersive and engaging it'd be a blast just wandering around and vibing. Also that show looks fantastic, and i don't usually even like shows....
Omg baby dragons!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I can’t wait for this land it’s gorgeous!
Yes!!!
You’re always my go-to source to hear about Epic Universe updates - impeccable video as always 👏 This land looks brilliant, so much kinetic energy throughout!
This park is gonna be…EPIC!
This whole video sounded like deja vu. Almost like I heard it before 😜
Alicia thank you! I have been following Epic Universe every step because of you. Sounds cheesy but I will always remember your videos as I visit this park in the far future. Keep them coming
Universal is truly going all out with this park… I’m so ready for this
UK here… always get excited when I see a new upload!🤩
Interesting that they opted for just standard seating for the coaster versus a motorbike 'dragon riding' position. Probably an operations choice.
The more involved the loading, the longer it takes to load---reducing capacity. Plus the more moving parts , the more parts that can stop working so I"m glad it's simple, tried an true no frills. Fewer disruptions to service.
@@keouine exactly my thoughts too. Motorcycle seating is neat more than practical.
@@AmusementLabsyea plus a motorbike type vehicle would prob be too similar to hagrids
I'd say it's because it's a family coaster. Smaller kids not only don't fit well on straddle type seats, but tire of hanging on a lot faster.
I believe there’s also been rumors of possible land expansions in the future. A popular idea seems to be another type of flight simulator like Flight of Passage so maybe that’s another reason to opt for a more traditional coaster
Each land may be like a half to full day park on its own. For Isle of Berk, the wait times for three rides, the wait and runtime of the stage show, time to dine, and time for shopping, interactivity, and/or kids’ play, we’re talking at least 5+ hours for the first year or two.
OMGGGG I love this channel SO MUCH!!! I show your videos to my friends and family this is sooo exciting😁😁😆
This is the land I’m most excited about. Thanks of the update. This all looks amazing! We Have Dragons!!!
I can’t wait to be able to interact with the dragons and the show should be amazing.
Can't wait to enter this land and see the new version of the dragon show from Universal Beijing
Been waiting for this upload ❤
Going to be EPIC!
Would love to see some Dragon Drones flying overhead
This is literally Beastly Kingdom finally realized. Dinosaurs and dragons are now the IP of Universal, Disney has basically surrendered both animals with the closing of DinoLand. I am not complaining though because I think Universal does it better. I look forward to seeing it open, that Dragon rollercoaster under the bridge looks so bad ass!!!
Alicia is by far the most thorough, informative and polished theme park content creator! I look forward to future installments! Also, Disney has got to be worried after seeing this. This level of theming, attraction lineup, dining venues and kinetics makes for a immersive land! I've never seen one of these films but I wanna adopt one of those 'lil dragons!
good to see they are building a playground. you just cant understand how important they can be for the kids.
The land that everyone was like ok my least excited to visit has now become a must see , looks incredible.
I’m so glad this is shaping up to be one of the best lands at the park. If you haven’t check out the films yet, I’d highly recommend doing so as they are fantastic movies! It’ll definitely add appreciation to the labor of love they put into making this dream a reality for fans of httyd and theme parks in general.
All really cool! It looks beautifull. This land feels the most complete (as in what's being offered). The kids play area kinda looks like what they're building for Shrek now. And the baby dragons may be similar to the Avatar beast puppets (don't know their name).
I can’t wait until this opens
My inner child is screaming YES. Doesn't help I have to drive by it everyday lol.
If we’re going a new reveal a month, does this mean the Epic Universe preview center would open in July, (Wizarding World in April, Super Nintendo World in May, Dark Universe in June)
Seeing the full concept art has gotten me even more excited than ever… and the one shop concept all but confirms the “adopt a dragon” rumors with all the eggs. I considering how popular the light saber builds are with Disney, this adoption area seems like a no-brainer and I for one am very excited to choose! Not sure if the the likelihood how having baby night furies or nightlights to keep in consistency with the lore of the films (though those would no doubt be the best sellers), but I’m curious as to how many different species they will offer?
It also seems like they are implying that people can just… hang out and relax in the bleachers above the racer rally ride? Which is just fantastic when compared to the insane lack of seating at Disney parks. I’m an adult who doesn’t have kids, but I love that they are really putting emphasis on children and families and allowing space for them to just have fun.
Yep. I already knew I was gonna love this land, but now I really KNOW I'm gonna love this land. I can't wait!
I don’t know why but I always thought that the main coaster was going to be a junior flying coaster, but the fact that it’s practically a mini Hagrid’s ride, I’m for it.
This was a great idea!! The only things I can think of that prevented them from making that decision:
1. Cost
2. There is a B&M flyer right down the road at SeaWorld
Universal needs to hire Alicia. All Epic Universe videos are better with her voice. Tomorrow another land reveal? or we need to wait?
But if they hired her she wouldn't be allowed to spill all the secrets early.
@@0dylan 🥲🥲🥲
5 seconds in pauses, adds significant top up to savings account, presses play.
Definitely more excited for this land than any of the others I love HTTYD
Love your videos as always alicia..much love from UK!
I literally got an ad for this land while watching this video😂😂
My second most anticipated land
Oh this is excellent! So much more information. Fantastic. Very well put tiger video once again❤
another great narrative writing by Alysha, you are the best!!
Huh, an ice dragon, wonder where they got that idea from 👀👀👀
Race to the Edge. That's a Snow Wraith, which is introduced in its second episode.
This land is going to be breathtaking
Love your videos
I wonder if at night time they will play up the whole lighting by 'natural' fire look. If you look at a lot of the images they have loads of natural fire lamps (obviously will be gas powered) but will have the look of naked flame torches. The whole land will come alive with that flickering naked flame light look throughout this How To Train Your Dragon land and bring a sense of magic to it. Also wonder if any of the drone dragons they'll have flying occasionally in the background will have flame breathing bits added to them.
Also would be super nice to have this Dragon Viking theme as part of a parade in Celestial Park
I’m really excited for this! All of it! Thank you TPS!!
This is the Epic land I’ve been most excited for ever since the announcement, and they have decidedly NOT disappointed me! Can’t wait!
So excited!
Baby dragon toys that ineract with the park that sounds so cute... D:
I have never watched a How to Train Your Dragon film in full, so I’m not really a fan, but I’m excited for this. It looks amazing and I can’t wait to visit. The Universal creative team clearly love what they’re doing with this park. Looking forward to the other land reveals.
Good job Alicia, always love the details you put in your videos. Better 1 video a week that every day nonsense. Cannot wait for this park, especially the dark universe
Man, as a huge fan of Disney, but an adult who likes thrilling rides, Disney should be very scared. Not because Disney won't be plenty packed, but because people are going to stay close to Epic universe and travel to Disney for only 3 days of their trip, they will spend less money on disney outside parks stuff. This will also allow universal to make Islands a thrilling no kids type park and make UniversalStudios focus more on being a studios park and not a smattering of shit. HHN, Mardi Gras, possibly lord of the rings, harry potter, nintendo ips abound,
This park is really going to be incredible.
omg interactive baby dragons?! sign me up!!!
I would love if they let Alicia announce the last one details! You’ve been killing it with these updates over the last few years!
A darkride roller coaster about the hidden world see our king and queen 🤩😍
Nevermind
I CAN’T WAIT
I’m so excited!!!😆❤️🔥🤟🏻
Universal needs to hire you immediately! I could listen to you narrate anything! Hearing you read the official attraction descriptions actually had me tearing up with excitement...and I'm not even a fan of the HTTYD franchise!!
this looks so awesome!
Very excited!
this is so nice
Looks awesome
Baby dragons 😍
Wow I wasn’t that excited for this area until this video….this looks like a wonderfully themed and fun location for families and dragon fans. Let’s go Epic!
Kool!!!! Love it
I haven’t seen the movie but this land seems like a blast! Probably will be a fan favorite
Great video
This is the one I'm excited about!!! And there's going to be baby dragons!!!!!
Baby dragons?! Awesome
This channel is the real MVP
I thought this land was more for kids, but it looks really cool!😃
At first I only knew of the Nintendo world coming in 2025, and only thought the Httyd was rumored to come in 2026. Now that I have this news I am so glad and excited that I have the opportunity to get a season pass to universal for the next few years.
My uncle was sin the navy and we get a discount because of that.
i wonder if the baby dragons will need you to care for them like a hatchimal. however, instead of using colors in the eyes that change depending on what the dragon needs, they would make different sounds that the owner is taught about what they mean
This is world class. Dragons flying overhead is a massive step forward for theme parks. Coaster is cool, but should've wrapped around mead hall and burst through a couple dragon houses.
I think they probably kept the Mead hall clean of ride structures because it’s a huge part of the scenery and the backdrop to photos people will take upon entering… though busting through the stables or some dragon houses would have been awesome (if not expensive for adding more animatronics).
YES YES YES YES!!!!
Killing it! They have a playground and a show, two elements severely lacking from theme parks nowadays. Great!
1:15 is that a bewilderbeast and red death hybrid
I believe it’s a Snow Wraith. It’s from the TV show “Race to the Edge”. I hope it shoots out cold spray to cool you off.
I'm so excited for this land. I always wondered why they didn't do more with HTTYD, but it takes years to make a park, so I guess that's why!
Dude you can adopt a baby dragon that is so adorable and awesome I am thoroughly impressed with epic universe so far
Really hope it's as atmospheric as Motiongate Dubai
I was honestly expecting this to be mostly a filler land, it looked like they were in a profitable IP and give it some cheap high capacity attractions. But no, this actually looks like it might be the most expansive land in the park.
