- Make the turret automated like he's the Engineer from TF2.
- Bigger gun. Upgrade 7.62mm to 12.7mm or even 20mm. Yes, give him an autocannon. That'll teach them.

How to change Chanka without taking his meme status away:
You still can have a mountable LMG.
But you can remove the shield and walk with LMG like with rifle and it would take some time to took off shield from LMG.
Also you can mount LMG back to its original form w its shield and use in like turret mode like Bastion from OW.
So you can use Tachanka to meme and being useful at the same time.

I started playing siege at year4 s1, and i didn't know the"lord tachanka" meme untill end of year4 s2. Before i knew about it, i got the op and started playing him. I soon got be better knowledge on where to place my turret and shield. And then i started to main him, that was when my buddy told me he was the 3rd least picked op. I was a little sad, but it never stopped me. Long live lord tachanka

Or, give home the option to make the turret mobile and take it off the stand, when you do take it off you don’t get the shield. And when you take the gun off, the movement speed is the same

These are the changes that I would love to see. And it wouldn’t affect the meme too much.
1: the turret can turn 360 degrees
2: it can shoot through shields
3: turret can be taken off the mount
4: doesn’t need to place down mount to access the turret
5:Mount should be smaller, with this the deployment should be quicker.

@@almalone3282 I'm sure they could work out something to balance the buff. Make it where no headshots but your vision is only a bar across your screen. So you would have to manually look up and down to see what the other chars see. Or double damage on the rest of his body.

I recently had a match where tachanka started crouch spamming so we all did the same. When the enemy team came to the bomb they joined in. It was so wholesome.
I still laugh at that time when one of my teamates just said "Tachanka is useless" and a second later 4 of us were obliterated by him through a garage door.
Too bad your team mate is wrong, The lord is never useless, they just dont know how to use the lord the right way. He is literally the best op in the whole game.

Well he's still pretty strong when he moves. I think it's a really good change. For example. You're attacking laundry on Oregon. Smoke the default plant spot and watch the default Mira position or Harry Potter for possible c4 throws. You just need a flank watch on stairs. That's still really strong and forces another layer of Teamplay. I pretty sure he'll still be played and banned a lot even in pro league

I think he was asking as like a favorite op. I noticed it too but I couldn't imagine that the interviewer,writer,editor and interviewee all missed that fact so I summed it up to them just meaning as an op in general.

I never played any other character while defending than Lord Tachanka, even when Siege was in the beta I always played the Lord. Ever since then, despite him maybe not being too useful, I continue to play Tachanka.

once i was playing ranked and i was playing tachunka unironically (ikr) and when i died i said in all "How dare you murder lord tachunka" as a meme right. Then these 2 barcodes on the other team started calling me every insult in the book. I have not been reminded of me being a copper 5 0.22 kd in a 15 minute match that much EVER.
Tachanka buff: his turret is now mobile. and it fully protects him up front, but if you want it to be mobile, a teammate has to push you around.

I almost caught a solo with Tachanka last year. 3 kills on the LMG and 1 with his sub machine gun. Overall, I managed to work with him pretty good for him being a 3 armor character

I think he could work if he could shoot bullets that could penetrate shields or even do more damage to them. It would make him viable for niche situations while still keeping as a meme.
I think this would be the best buff for tachanka. Then his ability would be worth something. It would also be nice if he had a little more protection, but with shield penetration that may be a little too strong.
He could possibly break the ballistic glass on shields making a gap where you can shoot through
Maybe he should be able to throw grenade while mounted this way he can make the enemy to stay away so he can shoot them
Maybe knock down shield operators. If its a shield like Blitz with continuous fire will knock and then pin the operator down. Or leave someone like Monty not being able to move with the constant fire on him.
Suggestion: Giving Tachanka the ability to constantly be able to penetrate shields would be too op, they should make it that he has two types of ammunition: One that can penetrate shield and reneforced walls but only is semi automatic and one drum mag of full auto regular ammo + make his gadget detachable from his stand but give him more recoil and no shield while detached.
He should be able to detach his turret and walk arround with it like a badass

How about you just allow him to mount it on anything, using a bipod, that completely eliminates recoil, in exchange for having to be undeployed, before you can move away? As for the bulletproof shield, going missing, if you don't have the tripod.. Well.. Make his helmet work. It's a ballistic helmet. Make him immune to headshots, or at least take alot less damage from them. Or just make him immune to certain bullet types, like pistols, and weak rifles.

Tachanka is such a beutiful character design that in the map villa there is even a fricken tiny statue in a cement block in the arts and craft zone, all it takes is a couple smacks and tadah! The lord is chiseled into the map 👌

Maybe if they added something like blackbeards shield below it on the bottom part of the turret then it would be half decent, or if we could pick it up and free roam with it alltogether. But the operator that really needs a buff is blitz, his shields hitbox is smaller than Ash.

9:21 I actually kind of like that idea of a buff. The only counter to shields we have in this game is to use explosives or try to ambush them from behind. A change like this would make Tachanka into a sort of anti-shield class, which would at least give him some kind of value in the game. Maybe add an armour penetration effect as well, making it so damage with the turret is the same whether the opponent has 1 or 3 points of armour. I don't think these additions would make him overpowered, since he would still be a sitting duck whilst using that turret. I definitely hope they don't outright remove the turret. In fact, if they make a sequel to this game in the future, he better show up again with that same beloved machine gun fully intact.

Being stationary does work in siege. Just ask the corner valkeries. If they make it so that he a shield covering his lower body or have an op the synergises with him then he can be a good defensive cover pressure character
In my honest opinion, I will rate current Chanka(before rework) at B or A tier. Everyone only uses his turret to shoot not to block. He could be more effective then Castle. Bring him to chalet trophy window, MEME Park lab, or anywhere else where there is a window that you need to block. The only way for an attacker to get in is by using a garra hock. Either way he is highly situational

I liked the shoot through shields idea. It keeps the meme and makes him somewhat viable for strategic play
I'm late, but I have an idea on how to... "Rework"(?), Tachanka.
What if he could remove and reattach his turret? It'll be a hip-fire weapon with high damage, but high recoil and kick, but going prone and crouching reduces the recoil of course, but it still has a huge amount of kick and since you can put it back on the turret, you could always slap it back on if you want to camp out in a 1v1 situation. How's that for an idea?

I main The Lord and I really have never had a problem with his turret. They key is to set up off site. If you put Tachanka across the hall from objective or somewhere the enemy would never expect you will usually get kills. Then once you get kills there pack up and move to a new spot with the turret. Constantly setting up and then taking the turret back down is the best way to play him. Try it out and soon enough you'll be seeing Tachanka on the MVP screen!
Lmfao. I love how the developer said "we didn't make very many mistakes in this game, but Lord Tachanka was one of them." Bruh. You guys made literally dozens of mistakes. Blackbeard's 800 hp shield when he was first released, Ela's 51 round laser beam of an SMG, The "sniper" SMG-11, turbo Blitz on the test server, having a terrible anti-cheat, trying to bow to China before the community revolted making you change your decision, Lion being completely overpowered upon release, Clash being completely broken and you're still trying to fix/balance her to this day, Maverick was completely silent making holes when he first came out, and Caveria's pistol doing 99 damage close range with little to no recoil. Those are just some mistakes that I came up with off the top of my head. I love Siege, but don't go saying you guys only made a few mistakes with this game when obviously you guys have made TONS of mistakes and will continue to do so throughout the life of this game. The least you can do is be honest.

What Ubisoft could is have tachanka a side ability like ela and zofia where concussion blasts don’t last as long it could be that tachanka side ability is to mount his turret but if he wants to be movable he can take of turret and use his LMG

Tachanka rework: can drop his weapons like a rook bag and wield the turret instead Halo Master Chief style. Or heck the one guy near 9:00 saying if Tachanka could shoot through shields, would be awesome too, if his turret could shoot through reinforcements it could force attackers to play more vertical or smart about clearing it
I can do pretty solid with him. If you set up his turret after the drone phase and pick a good sightline along with the shield you can get a solid 2-3 kills. Then the enemies know your location and use the turret placement as a decoy.
A solid buff would be to have multiple tripod placements but the LMG is the primary weapon. So you can roam with the lmg and then go to one of the placements and mount it for reduced recoil and accuracy. You should also be able to adjust the height of the tripod such as crouch, prone and standing. You can't roam with the shield but you get the shield on tripod placements. You should also be able to pick a sight or keep the hipfire accuracy for roaming. (i wouldn't know which would be best). Final buff would be to turn 360 degrees on the tripod.
I actually saw people setting the turret as decoy and hiding somewhere waiting for the opposing team to use it.
The most amazing thing is that it actually works XD

I mean he is a great area denial op and I think people miss that, heck on bomb in certain maps he is one of my must, skyscraper (tea room), kafe (fireplace train room) and Oregon (basement) to name a few. Just deny an entrance (or mutilple) and force them into your friends gun sights. I think he actually has my best win and kd rate so it makes me laugh when people say he is bad.

I KNOW, I love playing chanka in casual, but he is greatly wounded without that full defence at an angle, but people are complaining they can't play 'the only shield on defence'. Chanka is the clash glitch with an lmg change my mind.

Just make his turret movable. It doesnt have to be fast but as long as it moves from one place to another then its good
I know this is probably late as hell but a great idea would be give him an amazing secondary equipment. Some kind of entry device similar to kap, or that just Mark's targets as they go through doors so he can see where to aim his turret. Or if that doesnt please people. Make his turret a shield. If he cant move he should have the ability to be one hell of a nusense

I think he should have the LMG as his only primary, but outside of a turret mode, it has insane recoil and no shield. In turret mode, he gets his shield and removes vertical recoil from the gun. I think it would work out all right.
Now he’s got the 1.5 scope so he’s even more amazing
