@@carson5066 Hosmer is a first baseman. Kim is a shortstop who also plays 2nd and 3rd. So unfortunately, he's competing against Tatis Jr., Machado, and Cronenworth for the starting lineup. But I do agree that Hosmer needs to be dropped from the lineup regardless of what he plays because the guy is a cancer and he played a role on downfall of the Padres last half of the season. I'm a Dodgers fan but I do like to see Korean athletes succeeding in MLB even if they play in teams I am not a fan of. It's always been tough for Korean players coming from KBO to do well in MLB from the start. Ha Seong Kim just needs to work on his batting and he'll be an all star easily. How do I predict this? Justin Turner. When he was with the Mets, he was such a sick defensive third baseman but batting sucked. He was released and then Dodgers picked him up under minor league contract, discovered his hidden talent, worked on his batting, now he's a superstar. Just unfortunate he's losing to Nolan Arenado every year for the Golden Glove. But compared to where he was at before the Dodgers, he can't really complain about himself losing to Arenado and besides, every Dodgers fans including myself love and respect Justin Turner. I can see that potential with Kim. It's upto the Padres organization to trust and train him with right coaching and it's upto Kim to work towards improving as well. Not easy but definitely a potential. Kim is already well liked in the Padres fanbase from what I've seen and it wasn't even his great year. I can't imagine how much he will be loved from the Padres fanbase if he gets better and fully become part of Padres starting lineup.
@@cocourth5611 My idea was to move Cronenworth to 1B and Tatis to 2B. Tatis has a reslly good glove but makes a lot of throwing errors. Moving him to 2nd would alleviate a lot of those by making the throws shorter. Then Kim can play SS. When people need rest days, pretty much everyone can shift around to anywhere. Profar could play 1B (or Hosmer if he's on the bench), Cronenworth can play 2B and SS, Tatis can play 2B and SS, Machado can play 3B and SS, and Kim has played 3B, SS, and 2B. There's a lot of flexibility with those players.

As a Pads fan, love this dude. At the very minimum, he can play all four in-field positions as a sub with plus defense. And could probably shift to the outfield in a pinch without the team losing much defensively. Offense needs work but it was his first season in MLB so dude get's a lot of leeway figuring that out. Dude's exciting and fun to watch either way. Hoping for the best!
