“Blame The Rappers” LYRICS
(TOM MACDONALD)
I’m rapper but I’m losing my respect for the genre
How many songs about Xanax and alcohol are we dropping?
How many kids we gonna kill ‘for we admit it’s a problem?
Probly stop if was one of our sons or one of our daughters
We know our demographic is primarily youth
We glorify breaking the law to children in school
Kids copy what we say and imitate what we do
They’ll go to jail for doing the things you told em was cool
We put women in our videos, exploiting their bodies
While little girls around the world look at they phone while they watch it
They need a realistic role model, not just a Barbie
They see strippers and escorts but no lawyers or doctors
Hey Hip-Hop, what the hell happened?
It was power to the people, and we liked that stuff
These days you’re promoting thats it’s fun to be an addict, so I’m askin, how could you write that bruh?
HOOK
You can blame the rappers
That you blow up
But your favourite songs are about doing drugs
So What happens after
These kids grow up
And who’s to blame for who they’ve become
They made it look so cool
To shoot those guns
And hate the cops
And to get too drunk
You can’t blame the rappers
When you show up
And love the songs
That make you dumb
(DAX)
Making music privilege and choice
And if you ever get to be successful you must understand the people that you influence are Swayed by what you say and that melodies and you sing make wings, building dreams, and fill voids
We are medication straight through voice, some give life , some destroy
And even though this money seems nice it can’t come so we must that as hint that there’s other things in life you should enjoy
We move mountains
We cross states
We play roles in presidential debates
So don’t you try and tell me making music is for fun and you don’t care about the things that our music help make
Man I know I’m not perfect
But I’ll change
I’m the outcome of the worlds and my pain
And this music is pills and I promise this dose that you take won’t make you say
HOOK
You can blame the rappers
That you blow up
But your favourite songs are about doing drugs
So What happens after
These kids grow up
And who’s to blame for who they’ve become
They made it look so cool

I’m a rapper but I swear that I’m embarrassed
Half of these artists can’t even talk, they just mumble the lyrics
And the teenagers listen while they rebel from their parents
While the rappers tell ‘em pop a pill, buy Gucci and wear it
We say screw the police, break the rules, smoke weed
By some shoes you don’t need, rep the hood and yo street
All these rappers holdin’ guns and now the kids want some
Mess around and kill they homie, you can’t clean that blood
We encourage being stupid with our music, and we’re normalizing poor morals standard while do it
Little boys see the way that the women look in our videos and assume it’s real-life, project that image on little girls
It’s un-realistic, if you’re young and you listen, you are one in a million, you are loved, you are different
Hey Hip-Hop, I know life moves on
But while I’m here, how could you write that, dawg?

This is how I came across DAX, these 2 guys are legit talented and are prime examples that hard work and motivation pays off. No free rides here.

Now more than ever in my life.
I never leave comments but Tom and Dax, this song is legendary.
Seriously ?
Yep seriously
two rappers that have the most important messages in the songs are these two
"If you're young and you listen

But now that i researched Tom Macdonald and watched about

Seems when some one decides to sing TRUTH - YOU GET HOOKED !!!

Apparently, my dad is different. He still doesn't like the genre even though I've shown him Tom MacDonald. This is weird because, for me, I wasn't into country until I found out by definition I live out in the country and I started to get into country and love it.
You're not alone on this. Tom speaks the truth, and some get their feelings hurt😂
“You are one in a million, you are loved, you are different.”
Brings tears to my eyes. Tom, thanks for caring about our kids.
That was the line that caught my attention. Same effect.

My 8 year old daughter loves this song, she is so thankful for this song and sends her appreciation to Tom MacDonald!
This here is a beautiful soul. God bless you Tom for climbing out of the hole and getting this message out; may your lyrics live forever.
It's honestly a story of my life. I was listening to Snoop Dogg when I was a very young kid in 1993 and loved rap the entire time until I was 25. I listen to rap for probably 15 years and I know it influenced me in a bad way. I'm not saying I don't bear responsibility but definitely hearing lyrics about drugs and breaking the law didn't help

@@s.e.e455 but of course these daysvits all about being "unique" as in be like everyone who gives in to leftist ideology, being a decent man these days is either veing cool and knowing exactly when to do what at the perfect time and have everything all ready to give women and have zero self respect and accept/participate in everything from homosexuality to being a trendjender, or to not be cool at all and a phobe of many things, true enough there are lots of poor examples even for those who think they're doing right but of course that's also because there's very very few real role models
Not to mention what girls n young women have as role models..... and wonder why men don't want to commit to them....
Fire Tom you and Dax should do more videos together. Thanks for bringing me up with y'all's music.Nothing but love and inspiration 🙂
God this guy is on a new level, one of the realest lyricists that has ever lived. Keep up the good work Tom!
If this is a new level for you, you gotta expand what you listen to. He touches everything at such a surface level. Every kid who loves rap or wants to rap-EVERY kid needs to hear this song and follow the message they are trying to deliver.
"Little boys see the way that women look in our videos
And assume it's real life, project that image on little girls
It's unrealistic, if you're young and you listen
You are one in a million, you are loved, you are different"
I have 4 daughters so this makes me kind of tear up a little bit
And it makes me tear up because as a young man I and my generation forget that even when we f*ck up we have people who still love us, like our parents, friends. Just sometimes I have been selfish and didn't appreciate love ❤
I got none and I have to backtrack every time I hear that part. I don’t know you. And I know you don’t know me. But your kids are more important to me than either of us are, to me. That’s the beauty of babies and little kids, especially. They have an innocence most adults have long forgotten. They have potential. Potential to not be what we are. Tupac nailed it in Ghetto Gospel. “Everyone’s ashamed of the youth cause the youth look strange.” Cause they haven’t been corrupted yet. He also said in that song “it ain’t about black or white cause we’re human”. You teach em that and they’ll be good people.
@@bradleychandler8512 I think it is targeted more so at black people though, I honestly think pop culture through leftism wants to exterminate the black population, but how do you stop it when so many defend it as if its "black culture"

My favorite song of the 21st century.
I am not a big DAX fan, but he killed it here. Honestly he was the best part of this song.
Chills. This song! Keep sending healthy messages Tom/DAX. This is what the kids/teens need to hear.
My soul has been needing an artist like this.

You and me both, I'm so glad I found this man, he is sent from above for these times we live in, A TRUE INSPIRATION.
If you haven’t already do yourself a favor and browse his catalog. His a poet more than a rapper in my mind. He paints pictures with his words. HOG4L

Alot of people can't handle the truth anymore. They've been so spoon fed till every little thing hurts their feelings. And usually their feelings are hurt because they didn't have a parent to show them right from wrong or teach them to take a joke. This music is some of the best music I've heard in a long time. Usually I listen to the older genre because it actually had meaning . Tom and dax are doing something. They are trying to set an example. Most rap songs these days are exactly what he said. About drugs, getting drunk , or having sex sometimes even rape but it doesn't say it blatantly. This world is going to shit and I feel sorry for all the people that haven't come to terms with god.
Song name :-Blame the rappers
intellectual me:-lyrics in it must be in rappers favour😌
These 2 rappers :-suprise kiddo❤️
Yeah i was waiting for something like Ice Cube's "Rap made me do it", but damn. should have guesses since its Tom, but still.

Kudos DAX for standing up with Tom... change is needed and the songs are great.

Still discovering Tom and other artists like him. Glad to have found this video. Music can be healing to listen to...and not be about getting drunk and bangin.
I am quickly becoming a fan. Tom has integrity and a beautiful soul that shines through his truthful lyrics. I hope his message keeps reaching and touching the hearts of many...God bless..
