Im surprised no one has made this observation but..
Tom MacDonald is an artist who is about the message (getting the truth to as many people/KIDS as possible) and not about being famous or the money. So every time he comes out with a song that is popular and gets more and more famous, unfortunately he's going to feel this way ("I am everything I hate"). He's gonna feel like he's not being true to himself and his depression and anxiety is gonna feed off of that and make him feel 10xs worse.
Tom, don't feel guilty for becoming more famous. This just means you are reaching more kids and get to reach that many more. You're saving lives with your music. Remember that you ARE being true to yourself because your speaking the truth and YOUR TRUTH in your songs. Keep you're head up and keep the music coming. I learn something new that opens my eyes and I can't wait to learn more.

Em doesn't have the passion for the genre anymore. He's even said so himself in interviews. He's been jaded. No longer needs to prove himself so he become start everyone else is. Nothing special.
Em hasn't fallen off at all. Em has some very emotional songs even more recently than this song from Tom. This is one of my fav Tom Macdonald songs though, great emotion in it.
I like Eminem too, but I don't think you can really compare them. They're very different people each with their unique style of music.
