Today I am 6 months sober and listen to that song every morning before I start my day. To remind myself I can beat this BATTLE. Then came the song CANCER. As a 2 time cancer survivor, that song has hit home so HARD that every time its played it still brings me to tears cause I AM that cancer survivor and ALWAYS fighter!!!! My best friend was featured in this video. I hadn't heard from him since January and just found out a few hours ago that he passed away shortly after the last time we spoke. I've been going through old messages and pictures he sent me and wanted to rewatch the few seconds he had here... I've been rewinding his part and chuckling through the tears. He was more than just a friend, over the last 17 years that I've known him, he's become family to me; he was one of the sweetest people I've ever known and I'm going to miss the hell out of him.

I had a proud grandpa moment today. I was listening to this song, my grandson who just turned 2, heard it and ran up to me so he could see it and listen better. He starts rocking his head getting into it, he recently started talking and as far as I am aware it was the first time he tried singing along with a song. He was trying to say the "gang, gang, gang, gang" part. 😊
