I do know that its okay and just like you they are allowed to. What I can't imagine is looking up something I don't like and attacking someone else interest via comments that if I didnt care so much, wouldnt waste energy on. While portraying myself as some sort of savior or prophet because obviously you know better and have been blessed with all the answers or at least think you do to have to utilize your time in an otherwise wasteful way. I cried listening to this. Its so relatable. I spent my entire life savings, sold my beloved mustang, sold my pickup, sold my four wheeler, shared my wifes car, lived in a school bus for 2 years all to be an independent truck driver. My rig. My rules. My freedom. This hit hard af in my heart.

an old friend of mine was a truck driver, had his own business, only small time(well not really although was turning 6 figure income, expenditures took most, but was growing very well) - then landed the dream contracts with the ''big boys'' - huge contracts - and guess what, oh we will pay you on 28 day invoices, worked and worked for them trying to grow his business, and they never paid, always next month or it was a mistake, we will pay it all on next invoice, while his creditors screamed at him, allowed no delays, took him to court, and he had to declare bankruptcy and lost his entire business, lost everything. He was bullied out of the game as he was competition, to them, used him and chewed him up, while raking in all the profits from his hard work.
THIS IS THE BUSINESS MODEL OF BIG COMPANIES.

CRAZIERBIRD I don't believe opinions are a problem but saying someone is trash is a statement in itself which reflects facts. If you were to say, to me this guy is trash that's an opinion and one you can have, that's your right. However, why are we busy trying to tear people down with one liner and one word insults? If you think someone has bad qualities or attributes then by all means critique it, but shouldn't criticism be constructive not destructive or disruptive? Would it not be better if we offered up reasons to why we don't like something without the need for name calling or useless adjectives that don't add to a conversation? Why do we have to be so lazy that we leave a word like trash and nothing more to elaborate on why we feel that way? We should be aspiring for others to elevate their game and do better not just degrading people because we can. The least effort taken doesn't mean the best. For anyone that knows rap they know what feedback is, listing a breakdown of an artist strengths and weaknesses such as structure syllable use multi,inner and outer, wordplay, the way a story or a thought is conveyed if they get you to see a visual and feel a part.
Sorry for being so lengthy I just feel like we need to be more communicative and less degrading in order to understand each other and appreciate another viewpoint no one listens when people are on the offense or defense. Feel whatever you want to feel but let's spark a dialogue for real debate and connect over what we disagree on. Real connection to others is missing in this world and I think if that could change everyone would be the better for it. Right or wrong agree or disagree.
James I think you are completely right, I do like some of the issues he is expressing but I don't enjoy the way he is. It's hard to describe it in any way other than corny. If you look at other conscious rappers like Kendrick Lamar or J.cole they have a great style and way of presenting what they are saying and I really think this guy can work on that. other than using a bunch of conscious rap cliques he should be himself

Hey don't know if you read these or not but man can we please get more of your spoken word 🙏 / slam poetry!
Damn you always nail it dead center. When I was younger I wrote poetry that would lay people out with pure reality, like love, dealing with a mental illness, suicidal thoughts, and loss of loved ones. But one day a female friend stole all my work, like 350 pages. After that I felt like she had stolen my soul so I never wrote another poem again. You can tell what you've got in your soul brother I hope no one ever steals that from you.
This sounds so much like my son's feelings about life and how he lived his life, including his working life, but sadly l lost him nearly five years ago this year. I love and miss him so very much, time doesn't stop the unbearable pain, you must find a way of knowing he is at peace with no more suffering..I felt the need to write this as your words could have been written for him. Thank-you for everything you are doing for the people, always remember how special you are , a beautiful person with so much talent. Would be great to meet and talk with you, we all have a dream and I will keep on dreaming! It helps people get by, whatever their dreams may be. Your parents must be so very proud of you. Man this really resonates with me. When you know you're called to be more than just the average and push above the rest to inspire and encourage others you can feel it in your soul. It's like that itch that bugs at you every day and some days you fail and just fall in line with what everyone else be doin but the days you rise above and keep on going.. putting that time in at your dead end job with that end goal in mind that you know this is preparing you for your real calling.. its hard man.. so hard, but so worth it. A grocery store, cleaned houses, cleaned acid tanks at chemical plants, rebuilt lime kilns in paper mills, was a welder, a framer, concrete prep, concrete installs, landscaping, sheet rocker, electrician, home inspector, asbestos mediation, elderly caregiver, mentally challenged caregiver, convenience store manager, prison guard, mechanic, hvac, plumbing, truck driver, finish carpenter, house painter, stocker, cashier, delivery driver, roofer, heavy equipment operator, carpet layer, home remodeling, antique furniture restoration, warehouse worker, farmers market truck loader, cypress mulch factory worker, weatherization technician, and more for almost 40 years. Plus being a husband and father and grandfather. All these things were supposed to be the next best thing, gonna make shitloads of cash, none ever did. For me at least. Always made somebody else's pocket fatter while I basically worked for gas money to go work for gas money. I can't even tell you how much respect I have for you for the truth you put out so eloquently, I am amazed at every song or spoken word. Thanks for putting it all in perspective in a way that I can understand. This poem really clicked for me and has been a mantra that has changed my mind and heart about what the future can and should be.
