First, can't believe he's younger than me. Not many people younger than me earn my respect. Not many people of any age really.
Second, most of his lyrics are parallel to my own story over years, getting off drugs and booze, 5 years sober now, except a little weed. Anyone that continues to grow and evolve can follow his words and see themselves in his lyrics.

I love this man so much! I only found him a few days ago. Huge fan now. I just lost a relationship I put 6 years of my life into, and lost my job and my house (we were building one together when we split up, there’s still flags in the ground where I wanted a garden) and I’ve been angry at God and everyone I’ve ever loved. I always thought I drank in moderation until I tried to quit. Now I’m walking around my old neighborhood I had to move back to after spending my whole life trying to get out. I’m drunk af and thinking about shooting myself with my pistol in my room. Then this guy’s last few songs I’ve listened have all been hitting me like a drum. I’m so afraid to believe in hope rn and I know there’s so many hurting people out there the same. I’m not gonna put my sick mom through any pain her life has been shit, even with cancer she’s been telling me she feels okay and is trusting in Jesus. I wish I never grew cold to such a hope. I don’t even want to admit that I am, but I know how I’m living, it’s self-destruction. I hope all of you out there who can relate stop and take a breath. I hope you can remember the people who love you when you’re at your worst. We’re not all the way defeated yet. I hope this man never gives up. His honesty is a life saver.
