I actually like the live version way better than the studio audio version. I've NEVER enjoyed a live rap more than it's studio version. This is fucking impressive. I didn't listen to rap for years because it was all just money, drugs, hos, violence and mumbling in between. I just don't see the art in that type of shit. I fucking love rap with good messages and truth. It's easy to rap about meaningless shit, it takes actual intelligence to rap the way Tom does. Tom, ive been listening to you since I heard the first two bars of Hangman. It told a lot of what I felt and the things thats been going on in my life with depression and suicidal thoughts (at least thats how I interpreted it.) Ive cried out for help for years but the only thing doctors ever did for me was tell me to take pills and come back if they dont work so they could give me more. On top of all of that, I lost the one person i only ever cared about. That track made me feel like someone else was listening to me and my story. I honestly hope you see this and know that your music reached me in ways a lot of modern music never will. I hated rap before you, and Upchurch. You guys are fighting for what rap should be and I think I can keep digging that. Keep pushing Tom. Were all right behind you.
