Tom I said this before and I will say it again because I don’t think you heard me the other times young man. This song still today is one of your best ones and it’s November 2020 and here’s why. It’s really timeless if you listen to the lyrics. YOU did what you said you were going to do! You promised YOURSELF and whatever girlfriend you had mentioned in the song and you made it and BEYOND your wildest dreams because of your extremely hard work and dedication. There is no fluke in your success here Tom. None at all! You have constantly upped your game and skill set and surrounded yourself with people to get you to this point in 2020. I’m not your Father by any means, but you have grown into a really good man and I’m proud of you Sir. I’m 50 years old now and have 2 kids your age and 4 others pretty close to your age. They are the ones who turned me onto you. I’m from the days of Sugar Hill Gang and the early 80’s rap that just jumped onto the scene. Keep being real to yourself and nobody else because it works! You have a fan in me as long as I’m alive or until you decide to stop.

So I’ve worked my way from the disses to his oldest tracks, even bought the older and new albums. I appreciate the evolution this man went through, he didn’t relapse and that’s some hard shit to do. 🙌🏾

This obviously shows that Tom had talent from the get go, but I see this as a perfect example of how much he has grown as an artist and person. He has talked about how in the beginning of his career, he thought that he needed to be like everyone else, writing about cars, money, partying and women. Makes me respect the guy even more.

Content aside, I really do find something mesmerizing about the presentation. The hairstyle, the light from the projector on his face and long-sleeve white shirt gives me a very spiritual sort of impression. I'm not sure what you'd call it... the way Tom's vocalizing the song is really different from his current work, but in a good way. I wonder if this is something he can do at will or if it was inherent to a particular stage of maturity in his physical growth.

To be completely honest, I’m so glad Tom evolved into what he is today vs this person he was. His lyrics today are the more mature, aware Tom MacDonald. This song is just another song about the same shit every rapper raps about. Money, cars, bitches, houses, etc. you know, the extremely played out lyrics. I'll be honest about Tom McDonald, I didn't know who he was until this morning as I was scrolling through the wormhole and found him. Tom McDonald is dope I went and history research of Tom McDonald, and he is a humble and very positive person, it's funny because his personality doesn't fit his character but that's why they always say you can't judge a book by its cover. His music, his music was just as good then as it is now, in fact it's just that he's evolved as the new generation would like to use. Oh and also I should mention I learned that he was also a big fan of Eminem, so from what I've seen and learned Tom Hardy is on the way to blowing up. (B-MORE RANDOM U)
