@Mama C I wouldn't say better yet, but yes, this will also work, if the supplied screws aren't enough or you need to level a door that has started to give way a bit.
4 months later...Your statement isn't 100% true. Screws have a stronger pull out factor, but nails have stronger shear strength. It might stay up for 2 hole days before the nails start working their way out . Once 1 moves they all are coming. And as soon as it starts hitting the jamb it's done for. It makes all contractor's look bad. Like 1 bad auto mechanic makes all mechanics look bad.
As a construction contractor, please don't use nails! You should always be using 2 inch screws. 🤦🏻♀️ This is why you should stay off the internet when trying to actually fix something.
I love workmanship like this because I get paid to fix it

That hinge isn’t even going to close now
Exactly. Door hinges should be always mounted with beveled screws with flatheads. They’re even designed that way.

I think they would use glue instead so that you don't accidentally stab someone.
It’s actually not that hard to rip a door off it’s hinges. Especially if they leave the screws loose or use stupidly short screws

Гвоздь держать будет но не долго как и дверь не будет закрываться, в общем бред.
Я тоже 3 раза пересмотрел , такая шляпа , и выкладывают- же .
Your supposed to put the nail halfway in then wrap wire around it and bend it over.
Underated comment!!
😂

Its like real life illegal lego builds
Or you could just use the screws that came with the hinge. Brilliant, work harder for a weaker product!
@Mama C I wouldn't say better yet, but yes, this will also work, if the supplied screws aren't enough or you need to level a door that has started to give way a bit.
That's great as long as you dont attach the other side of the hinge to the doorway
Floating doors!!!
So the other side you going to use double sided carpet tape?
Something ain’t right here.
Who needs to close their doors all the way anyway
He's not crazy. He's nuts!

the thing is it literally doesn't even fit, those screw holes are recessed for a reason now dumb mf can't even close his door all the way

He came up with a good way to store his spare hinges so he can find them later :)
It's kind of a waste of hardware, though.
Your dad called, he wants his tool box back!
I don't understand why he's using nails.
It's like as if that was the point of the video title....🤔
to me, it looks like the nail is a softer alloy than that of the nut. so you get a peen effect, this appears to create an effective fastening.

Could've at least recessed the hinge flush in the wood and used bigger wide-head nails not needing nuts and able to be flush with hinge surface
This door wil never close properly.

It all hinged on the nails being long enough to go through the door and nailing it to the bench.

This is a great method if you’re not planning on using your hinges for hanging a door on.

Ridiculous 🤣🤣😂 lol
I always use screws in case I screw up. Not a fan of nails. They have a tendency to be weak and come out.
When you tell the new guy to attach the hinges....
Да, петли на гвоздях,- этого нам всем не хватало... И совершенно не важно, что гвозди со временем вылезут.
So when you put screws or a nut and nail in the other leaf of the hinge it won’t shut fully 😂.
