This DLC is fun. Hoping for a 2nd Mythos DLC. With Medusa and the Gorgons turned into something like the current three ones. Also hoping for the likes of the Chimera or Talos. And maybe mythical mounts? Who wouldn't want to go full Bellerophont?

I'm not super familiar with Greek mythology, but it seems like Cerberus is on a bit of a different tier from the hydra and the griffin. In the hydra and the griffin you have two amazingly powerful and iconic mythical beasts, whereas Cerberus is literally the guardian of the underworld. Wouldn't Hades care if you just took his dog? Wouldn't all the souls of the underworld come pouring out if Cerberus isn't there any more? I mean, I know it's just a game so whatever, but there is a bit of a "one of these things is not like the others" vibe from this set of three.
The story and options on the expedition really build out the Hydra and Gryphon lore :) for example there's a whole cult dedicated to the Hydras blood and its ability to heal and also poison

I woul love to have DLC with the Hittites in this game. They are fitting in this time period and were one of the strongest and most warlike people in those times. Their chariot warfare was legendary. (they also had uniqe mythology and mythologic beasts).

damn compared to TW3 it seems few people care about Troy. I guess most people arent fans of the Greek classical era.
I love the era and mythology, but I didn't really like the game much. I haven't really played it though since a little after it came out. One thing I hated most is the combat animations, it didn't even look like the troops were hitting each other. Like units just kicking at air and jumping for no reason. I like watching the units fight and this game had some of the worst animations I've seen and I have all the Total War games. Only mods like Immersive Combat can help fix it.

According to rumours, Warhammer 3 will be base on Total War: Three Kingdoms graphic engine and some mechanics also be included but CA haven't specified which ones.
No. TWW is cartoonish in terms of graphics. It has an arcadey feel. TWW3 will be the exact same with TWW2. TWW3 is just a mini expansion afterall...it is NOT a new game. They cant reevent the wheel in a 10 year old game.

It is better, not amazing. But alot better.
The hero duels in battle maps are really cool tho, and the friendly/enemy units circle around the hero while they duel

I agree. The new mythic units looks fun and for traditional Players there is also a historical mode.
For me its an OK Game. Some mechanics are an improvement compared to WH2 but many things are worse. AI goes in war with me (sometimes AI across the map) and after 2 turns the AI want peace. And AI wants to make stupid Trade Deals with you. And battles are just worse Version of WH2. But it also have the improvements that Three Kingdoms made.
Well, Mythos is not bad DLC but a pricy one and only Hydra is well made compared to Warhammer 2 equivalent. However, people have been waiting for news from Warhammer 3 for 4-5 months now?

It is probably the 90% possible becasue not many news have been released from February until now. It is pity because I really wanted to play it in December. I am worried about CA vision for Warhammer 3 becasue I have strange feelings that they do not know what they are doing with this game anymore (Warhammer 3).

Warhammer 3 is not a new game. It will be a small dlc mini campaing with a few new provinces and a couple of new factions. Warhammer is almost over...TWW2 is done and the only thing that remains is the TWW3 mini expansion. CA is already moving on so please dont suffer.

man this Warhammer 3 trailer is a little funky, besides the "joke" you guys did a good job at making troy fun and playable, also would have been cool to leave a Warhammer 3 easter egg or anything at the end to reassure the fans
I am a big Warhammer 3 myself, but heck some people need to chill and stop acting like damn entitled, spoiled brats. News will come, when it comes. CA doesn't owe anything to some raging, who seem to forget that structural delays and stuff still can happen, as COVID-19 isn't gone and the more dire situations in the world are not that long ago.
Meanwhile ffs how impatience can people be, its seems like a most logical thing, that if you release a product you do not rush over to the next marketing project, give it 1-2 weeks to settle down with the Troy PR, before grabbing pitchforks.

@@bambooronin1463 They announced it way too early, no one was expecting it until May/June until that Chaos 321.jpeg appeared, but even then people were skeptically assuming late march (21st of the 3rd.). But no, bam! It came out all of a sudden then silence for several months. Then we get *some* news for a bit and silence for another two months and counting. And at this rate it's going to be delayed till early next year (even if it doesn't, the combined campaign won't be out for some months) CA screwed up big time. Imo.
The level of undeserved hate directed at Troy is a proof that total war fanbas is one of the most trashiest fanbases out there.

Fanboys not realizing that the testing of Features in other Total War Titles mean that they will come into Warhammer 3 optimized and more refined. So whatever Title CA is working on, Warhammer 3 will profit from it arguably more than the original game.

@@drafezard7315 I can’t really name any time they’ve dropped any big news on a Tuesday Thursday has always bin there big day for announcements and news and that’s probably what’s gonna happen on Thursday they’ll drop a trailer with a couple articles after if you go thru the history off ca they really only ever drop big news on Thursdays and then on Tuesdays and Saturdays they drop little snippets like maybe an artical or a introduction trailer to a unit

@@DerSisch probably be a surprise for you but warhammer is by far the best selling title IE why there’s 3 games about it so it would be in there best interest to market it from a business standpoint what they’ve done to warhammer 3s hype is bad but the reason they’ve done this dlc for Troy is because they don’t want to do another 3 kingdoms there no longer supported by epic so it was a last duct he effort to bring some Revenue into a dying game a last ditch effort that to be fair didn’t really sway to many people so sorry to break it to us buddy but 90% off the people who play total war titles not only know warhammer 3 is in there best interest to promote now but it’s kinda there only chance now since the last 2 total war titles they made were just service for people who wanted another historical title and yeah they didn’t do very well

Imagine marketing a DLC for a year old saga game and completely ignoring your biggest and most anticipated IP for months. The problem isn't Troy. Troy is a great game. The problem is that we've been waiting through 2 full marketing campaigns that wouldn't end (Rome and Troy Mythos), and meanwhile we have had next to no information on Warhammer. Kind of mind boggling, this is how to kill hype for a beloved game
Yeah, I don't know what the hell they're doing there but I get a feeling that they're either having extreme financial problems with this game, or simply started to work on the game far later than they claimed to start, and now are trying to drag time as much as possible.
As if that Kislev vs Khorne demo was one of few things which were ready by the time of June.
The problem is the community at this point. News will come but apperently players of a strategy game don't know what patience is anymore.
But CA are well-aware at this point that they have only one Warhammer game left, they've already exceeded the original license with Games Workshop(it was signed in 2012 and meant to last 10 years) and had to re-negotiate it; and pure coincidence that GW are now more involved directly with how that license is used despite being quite more unpopular than they were already with their fans. Warhammer has been their biggest on-going success, and it's coming to it's end. The DLC cycle for it will last years and has a higher profit margin, but it's also produced and released over that period too, which doesn't help the quarterly reports much. Basically, once WH is done; CA have nothing in the pipeline that can replace it. The WH fans want only WH, the broader 'fantasy' fans that are non-WH are very small, the Chinese audience that broke records with 3K have been alienated, and the 'historical' fans are sick of being referred to as 'historical fans' when they just hate terribly-designed gameplay and always did. No good for CA if WH3 is as big a success as WH2 and in the same way, if they can't repeat it let alone do better four years time.

There are no news about TWW3. Why would you expect otherwise? TWW3 is just a mini dlc campaign for TWW2...it will only add a few provinces and factions to the map. Everything else in the game will stay the same because it is literally the exact same game. We already know the factions/new provinces that will be added...So what news are you waiting for? There is nothing to know other than the release date.

Beside, there are rumours about Chaos Realm World Map and CA themselves have written that old elements like dyplomacy and sieges are going to be reworked. Beside each game brings 'new story' and new challenges. We have to wait and hope that CA still remember about their last FAQs promises, e. g. Grand Cathay presentation.
