Not really. His role did not give any impact though. He should played Son's position and Son played central with Kane because of more composure finishing. The game changes when bissouma & perisic come in.

@@Moh4n he did impact massively there was a change in aggressiveness when he came on and we played much better when we put on bissoumma and perisic we started going more forward because that's what those players do richarlason needed the delivery which he wasn't getting much of until the two came on.
@@Moh4n Well with Richarlison they changed the system from 3-4-2-1 to a 4-4-2 and that worked way better against the well set pressing tactics by chelsea.

Chelsea's defense was on another level. Totally neutralized Son, Kulu, Kane. Very fluid swarming any Spurs with the ball while cutting off any passing lanes. We gotta do something about these opponents trying to take Son out of the picture.

Corner delivered by Perisic was spot on.I am convinced he will deliver so many assists this season.Kane must be very happy with finish like that.
For a large part of the game Spurs were having problems playing out from the backfield. The subs made a big difference. Spurs were able to push higher for the firepower to work.
That's why Lenglet needs to start when he's fully fit he is good with the ball and can smoothly play from the back
The system was the problem. The change to a 4-4-2 after 60 min worked way better against the high pressing from chelsea.
Forget the subs the ref made the difference, please stop kidding yourself. With any other ref in the world you would have lost. It's as simple as that.
In fact I would go as far as to say anybody that does not beat us with that ref in charge, I refuse to even say his name, must be atrocious! And you bunch of also rans could only just mange a draw in the dying seconds lol. Just how bad have you got to be?

To be honest, so many poor silly mistakes in this match. Bad positioning, touches & passes. Son played too deep made it hard to run in behind defender for Kane give long passes like last season.
True ,the result is good but it can't hide our bad performance , we struggled , i prefer to dominate and play better . Players looked lost , we looked like a team of clowns.
Improvement needs time,i hope we play better against big teams , we can't always play defensively ,we most control the game and dominate when we have the chance . Also, we need a creative midfielder like maddison or james ward .. we miss the cam spot , spence most take a chance on the rwb rule against wolves as a substitute , bissouma most start beside bentancur ..

I think all teams in EPL are prepared for Son and Kane duo by now. They just know what to expect.
Really hope that Son can turn it around and play better. Perisic should take every corner. Can't believe Conte got a red card when it's clear that Tuchel grabbed and pulled during the handshake. But to be fair I guess that we got away with a few fouls as well.
