February in Italy is carnival time! This year we are introducing you to the best masquerades, costumes and events of Carnival 2024.
Venice is a unique city on the water, located in the north-eastern part of Italy, on more than 100 small islands in the lagoon of the Adriatic Sea. This city has no analogues in the whole world, thanks to its architecture, history and cultural heritage. The Venetian canals, along which gondolas and boats move instead of streets, create a unique atmosphere, thanks to which Venice received the name โCity on the Waterโ.
Venice is known for its historical sites, including the majestic St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Rialto Bridge. St. Mark's Cathedral is a magnificent example of Byzantine architecture, decorated with golden mosaics and impressive architectural details. The Doge's Palace, which in the past was the center of power of the Venetian Republic, amazes with its halls and works of art. The Rialto Bridge is one of the most famous and photographed bridges in the world and is an important symbol of the city.
The Venice Carnival is another famous feature of the city that attracts tourists from all over the world. Known for its colorful masks and costumes, this annual event allows you to immerse yourself in a world of fantasy and history.
In addition to its historical and cultural attractions, Venice is famous for its gastronomy. Venetian cuisine offers a wide range of seafood, risotto and traditional Italian dishes, which can be enjoyed in the many restaurants and cafes located along the canals.
Venice is filled with beautiful sights, each with its own unique history and architecture. Here are some of the most famous and delightful places to visit in this water city:
1.St. Mark's Cathedral (Basilica di San Marco) Is one of the most famous and recognizable symbols of Venice. It is a magnificent example of Byzantine architecture with rich mosaics and majestic domes.

3.Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale)Former residence of the rulers of Venice, this masterpiece of Gothic architecture reveals luxurious halls and works of art.
4.Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto)The oldest and most famous bridge over the Grand Canal, which is an important shopping center in Venice with numerous shops and stalls.
