I think he wasn’t being too hard on her because he knows shes not a professional singer, so he didn’t want to critic her as one and discourage her. Tried to listen to the one Demi wrote for her to sing. Dixie seems like a really sweet girl but its like when I hear James sing. Something about their voices sounds like they can't fully get their voice out of their throat or something sometimes. Im not saying it to be rude it makes me feel like I physically have something lodged in my own throat to listen to it though. Many singers no matter how good still use it, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish do and they don’t need it.
