btw I loved the scene where she was shot and struggled to hold the gun (with it slipping out of her hand due to her injury) but that realism was countered by the stabbing lol. Why'd he take the knife out and why could he tolerate the pain lmao I really doubt an adrenaline rush could've lasted that long hahaha

My personal opinion, but I really don't like how people are itching for a romance between them. Like I get that they have great chemistry, but Memorist is a detective crime thriller, and with a serial killer psychopath using both the leads' pasts to threaten them I doubt "love" will spark between them lol. That's probably the last thing that will happen, and at this point in the drama anything of that regard happening will look really cringe and awkward and unfitting of the genre. I like how they're finally working together, but I really hope they won't insert random romantic scenes while the killer's on the hunt...

if the executioner just punishes those who are evil, as per the past deaths/cases,
then why would he target Sun Mi when she have not done anything bad.
I know they plan to have that to deepen the Dongbaek x Sun Mi relationship but it just doesn't make sense to kill her.
P.S The deputy police chief is obviously the executioner.

The first rule in such cases is not to pull the object out to avoid bleeding out. Even assuming he was lucky and no vital organs were hit..... Okay, even assuming he was acting on adrenaline. But you can't stand there and talk business with a hole in your chest like nothing happened. If he had passed out afterward and superintendent Han was applying pressure to the chest wound to stop the bleeding while calling an ambulance, that would have been realistic and more dramatic, I would have been scared for Dongbaek. Although the fight scene is filmed spectacularly and thrillingly and Yoo Seung Ho's acting was great.
